    Description

There’s never a dull moment at our farm, always something new happening.
This summer we had lambs born, piglets born, and continue to escape, heaps of chicks, hens, turkeys and Guinea fowl. 5 calves, Harry, Cedric, Fred, George and Ronnie (known as the Potter Boys) arrived at the beginning of spring who had to be bottle fed, and still like some cuddles.
Our newest additions are 5 young dairy lambs who we are spending time with to have them used to being handled in preparation for milking. As yet we are thinking about their names. Our 4 big girl dairy sheep (Lola Wilma Jennifer and Winnie) are still giving us a little amount of milk each day hopefully for another month before we dry them up for the arrival of lambs early July (fingers crossed 🤞) Anthony is a fantastic cheese maker if we have surplus milk.
We are a retired couple enjoying homesteading on our 10 acre property in Lorinna Northwest of Tasmania near Cradle Mountain.
We grow most of our own vegetables organically and raise our own meat.
We are totally off grid and half hour drive time to the nearest town, Sheffield.
Our property has direct access to lake Cethena which is great for swimming fishing and kayaking.
We enjoy having a day out and would be happy for you to join us.
We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life especially with the same interests in sustainability and a love of animals.
We are volunteer firefighters and enjoy helping in the Lorinna community.
Roxy is our super friendly dog and loves to make new friends.
Life is too short to not enjoy each day at the farm, this is a life changing opportunity, it changed our lives and the farm will change yours.
