Вот красиво оформленный вариант отзыва на английском: --- She stayed with us for 2 nights and 3 days. She is a very cheerful, kind, and fun person to be around. She helped me with taking the children to their training sessions, and we also had a really great time talking and spending time together. She is very interesting, and it is truly enjoyable to listen to her and have conversations with her. I would definitely recommend her as a volunteer. Unfortunately, she was only able to stay for three days because her flight was cancelled and it was no longer possible to change the dates. Despite that, I would have loved for her to stay with us longer. Thank you so much for your time — you are always welcome to come again, and we would be happy to host you for a longer stay next time.

She stayed with us for 7 days, and it was truly a very warm and wonderful time together. She is a very polite, kind, and open-hearted person who gets along really well with children. I would have loved for her to stay longer with us, but unfortunately, she was only here for one week. During her stay, she was very helpful around the house — she cleaned the entire kitchen, actively participated in daily tasks, cooked delicious Mexican food, and even prepared an interesting presentation about Mexico. It was easy and pleasant to work and spend time with her. I would especially recommend her for families with children, as she connects with them very naturally and warmly. Thank you so much for this time! We would be happy to welcome her again and truly hope that next time she will stay with us for a longer period.

This was my first Workaway experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start. I immediately felt comfortable and all my initial worries disappeared very quickly. It’s amazing how many people you get to meet there. I really enjoyed working alongside other volunteers and having the chance to exchange experiences and ideas. The guides were very entertaining, which was especially great given the lack of internet and Wi-Fi. The hosts, Johanna and Kirk, were incredibly understanding and flexible. You could openly talk to them about anything on your mind, and they were always willing to accommodate and support me. I can highly recommend this place. The work itself was easy and as a team we usually got everything done quickly. However, you should be aware that the schedule is quite flexible—you work day by day rather than having a fixed weekly plan. For me, this kept things dynamic and prevented the work from becoming monotonous which I really appreciated. If you want to leave the jungle you do depend on the managers who can drive you out with the pickup. Otherwise, the surroundings are beautiful: there’s a river perfect for swimming (and we even got to join a rafting tour), two waterfalls, and an incredible amount of nature with diverse wildlife to observe. As my first Workaway experience, this was truly an amazing opportunity!! Thank you very much!

The night I arrived, I was welcomed warmly by Anish and his family. I played board games with the girls until dinner was ready, then we watched Netflix together. It really set the tone for my time there. I felt so at ease; as though I was with my extended family. I was lucky to be a part of their potato festival- an event to celebrate the students’ hard work and expand connections with local farmers. Most of my time was spent making decorations and helping prepare for the festival. The students are all so kind and playful. I miss them already. My time at The School flew by, I’d love to visit again in the future!

First of all, I really enjoyed my time (about three weeks) with Ragnhild and fell in love with the farm. She is a kind, knowledgeable, and very welcoming woman, and very easy to talk to. We had many fun times and evenings talking and spending time with the horses together. It did not take long for me to feel like part of the farm, and she always made sure we had everything we needed. The farm is beautifully located in a valley between the mountains, and the scenery is simply stunning. Her horses are so cute (I miss them, especially my girl Sunshine), and each has its own personality. Some are strong-willed and have their own past experiences, so they each require different handling and training. I felt very peaceful living on the farm, surrounded by all the beautiful nature and animals. Although I had a great time there, you should know that there is a bit more work than indicated, and it is much more enjoyable if there are two Workawayers (the horses need to be fed every day, and the hay and stable work must be done). You still have free time during the day, but since you have to go out to feed the horses four times, it sometimes does not feel that way. We had alternating evenings off, which helped, and I had two half-days off during my stay. In the afternoons, we did a lot of work with the horses, which I loved and learned a lot from, but it adds to the working time as it is in addition to the general tasks that must be done. I rode a couple of times while I was there (her lessons are amazing), but as she does not have many rideable horses at the moment, if you are looking for a place to ride every day, this might not be suitable. If you are happy to do more groundwork and don’t mind the stable and hay work, this is a wonderful place. I am very grateful for the way of life I experienced, all the new things I learned, the connection with the horses, and the friendships I made. I made great memories there and will treasure them forever.

We had a wonderful time with Ari, Maik and Philias on La Palma for 3 weeks during January and February 2026. They are very funny and understanding people, who welcomed us with open arms in their beautiful house near the high cliffed coast. Taking care of Philias was an enjoyable task, we also worked a bit in the garden and did some woodwork. We slept in a tipi style tent (more of a tent then tipi), it had its downsides, it was a bit cold at night and too warm during the day, but there was an outside kitchen with plenty of space to spend time in. About the island: The views around the property and the entire island were breathtaking and unforgettable. We took a bus to many places around the island, and Ari sometimes drove us too. There are also a lot of hiking trails near the house, but if you want to do groceries you have to drive a bit with the bus.

Remy stayed with us for almost two months at the beginning of 2026 and arrived during a very snowy time. Always ready to do the hard work, Remy shoveled snow and horse poop, took great care of all our animals and seemingly enjoyed engaging with our helpers and some guests. Remy was very open, talkative and ready to share own experiences and was interested in exploring the cities close by and going on some trips. As a reliable person Remy took over some driving with one of our cars, which was really helpful. Remy also is a very creative person, as he created a beautiful mosaique on one of our walls with our other helper at that time and thereby left a nice memory of himself. Not afraid of the cold, Remy choosingly stayed in the hut for almost the whole period of his stay - even through the very cold nights! We would and will welcome Remy back at any time and are looking forward to possibly hosting him again this summer. All the best to you and thanks for your great support!

We stayed for two weeks with Ruben, LA and Nils, and we couldn’t have wished for better hosts. They made us feel so included in the family and really cared about us feeling comfortable and happy. They cooked amazing food and bought everything we needed and even more. ;) Ruben is really outgoing and funny, and we had some great laughs together. LA is also such a lovely and calm person who has amazing baking skills. :)) We helped them by cleaning the greenhouse and doing some decluttering, but it wasn’t much work. They wanted us to have plenty of time to travel, which we really appreciated. Thank you so much for that! We had an awesome time with them and would recommend this family to anyone, because they are truly amazing hosts! Thank you so much for letting us stay with you! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

The time with Angelika and Dennis was beautiful! The conversations, the dinners, the good coffee and of course the incredibly beautiful view will remain in my memory for a long time! Unfortunately we didn't have that much time, but the stay with them was one of the highlights in my New Zealand trip!

My stay at Ilmars and Sana's (and Leo's) place was amazing. I spent 9 days at the guest house and did gardening, cleaning and photography project :) The stay had a character of getting to know each other and the space we were in - the guest house is an ongoing project which as workawayers we shape. Weekends were completely off and me and other workawayers were able to see the neighbouring cities and explore. There are many wonderful spots in the area, so there is plenty things to do in the free time even tho it is a remote place. We had plenty of meals together and spent lovely time. Thank you for having me and I hope to visit one day again! <3

Hello, Hamid, I liked to have you here. You were a sunshine in winter. Then unfortunately, you had a lot of sorrows because of your home country - which I could understand with all my heart, undoubtedly. So, you moved early to to another place. I would have liked to spend more good times with you. But unfortunately, life is demanding sometimes different ways. So, I can only wish you good luck for your steps in life. Angelika

I stayed here for 6 weeks. All in all, it was really good. I can add to the rest: Eugene and Jess and others of the staff really make the stay delightful. They give their all to us, react to our cries (metaphorically) promptly at all times, even though there is so much else to do. They also helped greatly with trips and activities us volunteers wanted to plan. ♥️♥️ We had some problems in the beginning, eg. with some of the staff and also of food brought to us (only little adjusting to what we asked for, eventhough they asked us to make requests). They cared about what we said though and we talked things through several times. Afterwards, it was better and we had a great time having braais, cooking together and doing activities. Being in a volunteer group was really great. The tents can be shared, depending on the number of volunteers present. The views are AMAZING. The animals too, it's a crazy experience to live in a nature reserve without fences around you. Once we heard leopard cubs right outside the kitchen and we saw snakes (also black mambas) several times. As another workawayer mentioned already, the profile pictures are a bit misleading. There are really no lions in the reserve and the view from atop of the canyon is not inside of the reserve. It shows a canyon quite a bit away (the Blyde Canyon). My work in the sports team was kinda uncoordinated after the boss of our team left 2 weeks after we started working with him. We still did our work, but it seemed like we were kinda forgot about. That drained motivation a little, especially because no one seemed to notice the work done. In the last week, I helped in the permaculture, and that was way better, more coordinated and seen. Eugene is brilliant at what he does and an awesome human being, as well as Jess. In the immediate surroundings outside the reserve there is not much to do by foot (except one garage right down the street, which is really helpful), for almost all activities you need a car, but you can rent one from the staff or rent one from official renting places. In the reserve itself you have a gym that some volunteers build, and lots of space to run, hike or picnic in. You can meet all kinds of animals while doing that. Always with the absolutely stunning mountain in the background, where the vultures nest (I never saw one up close, sadly.) There's no wifi and only bad internet connection in the tents, none in the kitchen and the bathrooms. Wifi is at the education center and the permaculture, a 5min walk away. If you want connection more often, I advise you to buy a simcard either online or at the airport, in the shops in the village it can be difficult. You can sit down in the education center and use your electrical devices (for work for example), the wifi is stable and there is ventilation and chairs + tables. The whole eco village (where the volunteers live) is powered only by solar electricity, which can be tricky (e.g. no power in the morning till the sun is out and no charging devices at night). All in all a really grounding experience, really close to the african bush wildlife. Amazing.

We had a great experience with Martino! He's a talented young man, and the children loved him right away. He helped us so much with the household and with the children, playing with them, taking them to school and extracurricular activities, and cooking for the whole family... he's an excellent cook! He quickly adapted to the daily routine and the house rules, and we immediately felt like one of the family. Despite his young age, he's a mature and responsible young man. We wish him the best and hope to see him again soon!

Had a great experience spending a month here. Communication and work was clear and smooth with Zara, expectations were clear and her profile was accurate. I really enjoyed caring for the dogs, we went on walks, spent a lot of time during the day together, sometimes in the evening too when Zara was busier. They got used to me fairly quickly, i did some some basic training with Eddie and we had great progress in the few weeks i was there and he already knew some certain 'keywords' like sit. I'll really miss them, wish I could stay more. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to stay. All the best

I spent only a few days with Francesco but it was very nice. He is friendly, openhearted and inviting. We ate and did yoga together, I worked some small bits in the garden and the woodshed. All easygoing and good. Thank you Frà for your hospitality🙏

I was hosted 19 days from Luc and Genevieve. Luc has many experiences around technical issues and he has many tools available. He is leading the renovation of the house by himself. Plumbing, solar energy, woodworking... there is none topic that he has lack of experience. Genevieve is specialized to cooking and she really cooks delicious meals full of love and care. Luc and Genevieve put a big effort to teach me a few French words and I am very greatful for that. Both gave attention to me and cared if I feel good and always were there if I need instructions or advice. I enjoyed the "stressing", that is special exercising for the body with fellow villagers. I also joined the anniversary of Easter of the community of Miolles. Generally I must say that I had a pretty good time there with my host Luc and Genevieve, even if cause my age I am a bit difficult guest and I do not get comfortable easy. Ofcourse I enjoyed the movie time every night. If you want to practice your French and have good time then this host is ideal for you. Thank you Luc and Thank you Genevieve 🍃 🍁

Parisa was amazing. Because we didn't have much work she made us a web page/ discover things to do in the city especially for our hostel. Which was something I needed but unable to do myself. She's so lovely friendly and chilled, nothing to difficult and open to share especially Iranian food which she cooked for about 15 of us. A wonderful experience in every way. If you get the opportunity to meet and host Parisa then you will not regret it. We're waiting for you to return.... welcome back anytime.

Lorenzo and I spent some wonderful days during this Workaway. Tav An is a small village surrounded by rice fields, in tranquility but with everything you need at hand: small markets, bakeries, local and non-local restaurants where you can have lunch or drink a good coffee. During the day you can do various excursions on foot (reach the waterfall, explore the village, walk through the bamboo forest...) or you can rent a scooter to go a little further. The volunteers with whom we shared the days were wonderful and the time spent together was quality. From an organizational point of view, the weekend is busier than the week, we usually have 2/3 classes, while from Monday to Wednesday we only taught in the evening (Thursday and Friday were free days). Children, but especially young people, are curious and eager to learn, they do their best to achieve their goals, giving great satisfaction. If you come here you won't regret it: these kids, most of whom are not privileged, with stories of illiteracy and isolation, really need your contribution and really deserve it! (If you can, bring some school supplies and perhaps some books to leave behind to follow a common "method" - many students are at alphabet level, others are more advanced to try to have conversations -. Generally the homestay is well kept and clean, the food is very simple but good (only the days when we were many volunteers was it a little poor). What we missed however and which would have really been a plus is a hammock in which to relax, doze or read a good book. Special thanks to Sung and Dua for taking care of us, making our stay so special and for making us have fun and feel beautiful trying on their local dresses. Thanks also to Nadine for giving these kids the chance to have a place to learn and feel at home.
