Description
Hi , I am Francesco .
I am 54 and I live with my dog in a quiet and nice place in the country . I share my days between some hours of work and some others of yoga . I like to hike and to take my time to relax and enjoy . The project here is in progress and open to different possibilities . Maybe in the future a small guesthouse (in the past the place was used as a guesthouse and organic farming as you can see by the previous reviews) . I require indipendece , people, easy to adapt , that love the country and available to stay in an isolated place basic and rustic .

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We can exchange our language knowledge , yoga , creative activityies or you can learn about ,gardening and organic farming when is time to do those activities. Also sometimes we can go togheter to make some hiking and enjoyng the surrounding and possibly to the river to swim . The area is interesting and during the free days you can visit Piacenza that is medieval at the stunning val trebbia that offer a nice river to swim and many natural landscapes or hiking paths on the hills . Also for those that are interested is possible to visit the cities close to piacenza. We can share our knolwdge and languages , yoga or our different culture.
Help
I require 3 hours of help a day for 5 days a week . The help can be in gardening or vegetable garden activities , cutting wood or other tasks. There is no help required fot the guesthouse previously managed and at this time is also not operative , there is no business position open at the place . The help is only for my personal home where I live and possibly non profit projet for the future. Normally I will offer one meal togheter and the others you will have a kitchen to do yourself or we can agree on the place to make two meals togheter and 4 hrs of help depending by the time I have and your availability to cook togheter too.

What else ...
During the time off the helpers can go to the river. There is two options : one is walking for around 30 minutes to get the closest place , the second is to get a bus and in 30 minutes get the stunning places on the hills . During the free days it is possbile to travel to the many cities around piacenza reacheable by train like Parma, Pavia, Genova, Lodi , Milan and others or visit the many medieval villages and castles around . For example Grazzano Visconti is at only 20 minutes walking besides there are quite some other very nice villages . Also is possible by bus to get piacenza that is worthy a visit or to spend some time . Some times we can go togheter or the helper can go alone to discover the many hiking path available in the marvellous hills and valley surrounding the place . Finally you can enjoy the place making yoga or meditation as is peacefull , reading a book or just relaxing .

Elisabeth had to stay one week as we agreed before her arrival , we went to pick her up to the station because she was calling and in difficulties in finding a bus from Piacenza to the farm . Normally the volunteers they take a bus from piacenza to here. During the way back to the farm she told us that she would have left away after 4 days because… read more she had to go to a last minutes marriage in england of one of is many relatives, this was a bit odd but not important . So Finally she stayed here for only 4 days . Actually in a normal situation we never take volunteers for 4 days beeing to much short but at least one week.

Two of this days we have been to the river because was so hot that was impossible to work outside in the country. The remaining two days she picked a few plums and helped a bit in preparing the food for the meals that we did together, picked half a pot of tomatoes for us to make a sauce , so actually she did almost nothing, but was not her fault, it was very very hot so actually also we had to stop any work outside .
I don't remember any help in cleaning , apart her room itself , also because normally i don't allow any volunteer in helping with the bed and breakfast rooms but I guess she has been once in a room to help doing a bed might be as I see that her impression is this is the main help the volunteers give..
I can say that her impression about the help normally needed here are a bit confused .Also I don’t remember she partecipated in any activities of fixing building that are not happened in this 4 days.
What I can truly say is that normally the help is a bit harder and the minimum period we prefer is one week . The help normally is in gardening , vegetable garden , cutting wood , maybe helping out in some other activities in the farm except the guesthouse.

What insted we did with pleasure with Elisabeth was a lot of conversation , she is very religious protestant believer, gentle and elegant in her nice posh english and also she likes to discuss , that was cool and sometimes funny. It has been a pleasure to listen her talking about all her uncles, aunts and relatives all over the world so connected and a challenge to answer at all her deep curiosity and many questions on our life , like also listen her advices .

It is a shame that she stayed for such a short time and she did't have the opportunity to do more farming activities with us and I raccomend her if you need to be kept in company an like to have nice conversation in english
