This was my first Workaway experience and it was a very positive one. The atmosphere was calm and friendly, with plenty of free time. The location is central and very convenient, and the work was easy and not stressful. There are also many opportunities to go on excursions outside Sofia and explore nature and nearby places. The common area, with a pool table and a shared kitchen, is a great place to meet people and socialize. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxed experience; thank you all.

It was a pleasure for us to meet Rafael. He had good times with everyone. Didn't hesitate to help us with anything, and thanks to him most of our blades are sharp enough now :)

I can’t say how grateful I was to have Mona and Grigor staying in our house. Two extremely kind and respectful people who looked after everything perfectly. The communication was great, letting me know whenever there was mail or writing a quick question on WhatsApp if they were unsure about anything. When we arrived home, the whole house had been cleaned from top to bottom with fresh bed sheets. I can absolutely recommend them, together with their two dogs. Thank you!

I had an awesome experience at Rajesh's place! I stayed for one week, and honestly, I could have stayed much longer. During my stay, I was able to explore Kochi on my own, and Rajesh also took the time to show me some amazing places around the area. As a newbie to massage, I learned so much about it during my stay. Rajesh is not only super friendly and professional but also very open about sharing his knowledge and experiences, both from abroad and within India, including its rich culture and the specifics of Kerala. If you're looking for an authentic experience and want to learn more about his massage techniques as well as Indian culture, I would highly recommend staying with Rajesh!

This was my first workaway experience and I loved it ! I stayed there for two months in November and December 2025, and I really liked the experience. The work was simple and well explained, and I met great people there, some of them I’ve stayed in contact with to this day. Oliver and Ori are very welcoming, Ori took me to be part of the Halloween parade in the city of Trim on my first day there, and Oliver and his family welcomed me and another workawayer to their Christmas dinner ! There is a bus stop within walking distance to go to Dublin, and Oliver was often offering to drive us to the bus stop, or to take us to the city of Navan when he has business there for a day out. There is a sauna close by, and the people working there are all very nice (you can get a free session if you’re nice and you work at the campsite!), a coffee shop is open on the weekend, the barista is amazing and she’s now a good friend of mine (hi Ruby!) and you can also participate to some yoga sessions at the dome if it’s your thing ! Overall, this is a lovely place with a super welcoming community. A big thank you to everyone there, I hope to see you all again sometime ! xx

We stayed with Laure and her beautiful animals for a few weeks. We helped in many different tasks such as: picking flowers and herbs, organizing tools, cutting the grass, planting and pruning. Laure's really cool and cheerful, sometimes we worked alongside with her and other days we managed our own schedule. Most of the times we cooked and ate together and we loved the fact that she made sure we had a very "French" experience by sharing nice cheeses, local wines and we even had a Racclette night with her friends! Her animals have the same good vibe as her, Babe can seem as "the difficult one" at first but she'll win your heart and you won't forget her :) Outside work, we were able to enjoy the area by taking walks on the near by forest (we even saw some deers!) and also went to Saumur with her a few times. Saumur has a very nice market on Saturday mornings and outside of that is a nice town to visit, walk around the Loire and depending on the time you can find some local events or even visit the castle. Something nice about the area is that is very bike friendly and if you don't mind the uphills you can visit very interesting caves and castles. Our experience at Laure's place was so complete and fun that is hard to put down in words. We are extremely thankful to her for an amazing time and we wish to come back so we can continue helping her project grow. ps. we already miss everybody!!

A holistically transformational experience mentally, emotionally and creatively... Raan gave me an opportunity of a lifetime to explore and evolve. Must visit for anyone in search of a peaceful natural sanctuary and community focused ecosystem.

Chihiro was the very first workawayer we hosted and we truly couldn't have wished for better start!! It was such a pleasure to have her in our home...always happy with a bright smile on her face, full of positive energy, polite and always eager to help with the daily tasks that occur in a family home. Our kids loved having her around, playing games and taking walks together through our peaceful neighbourhood. We shared so many good laughes, interesting conversations and our exchange about the similarities and differences between Japanese and German culture was also very rewarding. Chihiro even brought some spices from her home country and cooked a traditional Japanese meal for us! We absolutely appreciated her being with us and her help and inspiration during this lovely week we spent together. Thanks for everything, you are always welcome in our home, dear Chihiro!!

Xavier was a pleasure to host in every way! He always had a smile and was happy to do any task asked of him and to do it well! He is an amazing young man with an appetite for life who makes exciting things happen for himself! He embraced Africa, all our cultures and our way of life, and he is already missed by our team! Should your paths cross with Xavier you will indeed be fortunate, he is just such a great guy!

I've spent a total of four weeks at Leyilah's place and I enjoyed every minutes! The work was mostly to clean and tidy up the house and the basement, and during the last week we were working on preparing Momo's birthday so we had a lot of creative tasks to do and it was really fun 🤩 I've felt very welcomed in this house and chatting together to learn more about each other's felt really natural, during the week days we would eat all together and Leyilah was cooking for us, and I think it's a nice way to socialize! She'll take really good care of your mental health if you talk to her and it's really appreciate🙏 Thank you for this very nice stay and I hope we'll be able to meet again 💕

It was such a wonderful surprise to arrive at this place. I stayed for about a month, and the time flew by, full of learning and experiences that I will carry with me. Thank you to Hassan for the opportunity and for always supporting us whenever we needed it. Likewise, the other teachers and students made my stay very welcoming. It’s important to note that the accommodation doesn’t have wifi, although they were considering installing it, but the school does, and they allowed us to use it whenever we needed. Everyone was very kind. What truly enriched my stay was the cultural exchange that happened every day, both at the school and outside visiting and knowing more about amazigh culture. Many thanks to Hassan, Abderrahim, Yassine, and everyone who shared their culture with me, supported me during my stay and simply were there.

The most lovely, generous, and kind-hearted family! I had the pleasure of staying with Christina, Peirce & their beautiful, joyful family for only a week but it was such a restorative and tranquil time that has stayed with me during my travels through Australia! Tucked away on a little mountain, I was delighted to help with transport for the workers; I learnt a lot in helping prepare dinner for the community, we worked on carving out a new walking trail, alongside general cleaning/maintenance—the working environment was easeful and flexible, I was happy to help out wherever was most needed! (+ I got some great music and book recommendations:) Thank Y'all so much again, Blessings x

By far my favourite workaway experience and a true highlight to my 9 month trip. Arif and his family were kind, hospitable, and so so so welcoming. I truly felt like part of the hostel family. I really loved the community feel of the hostel and getting to know everyone in the area as well as the guests and volunteers. A truly beautiful time with the most beautiful people I will remember forever. I will definitely be back and hopefully a better surfer by then!!! Much love xxx

I spent two relaxing weeks with my friends Aurelia and Flo at Fionntáin's place in the forest at the end of August/beginning of September :). Every day from Monday to Friday we helped building his house and got to learn more about construcction and working with wood. One Saturday we also went on a trip together to Limerick and Fionntáin also gave us a tour around his property one day. Thank you very much for everything, Fionntáin!

Sasha and Ying were very welcoming! They we're very friendly and helpful for the 2 weeks we where there. They had a lot of suggestions for day activities and we were blessed to share some of Ying's delicious meals with them and the other workawayers. They rented us their scooters which was very convenient. They really wanted us to feel like home and to enjoy our time in Pai. It was fun to be staying in the country side of Pai. We enjoyed the tranquility of their property and was not too far from town to enjoy everything Pai has to offer. In terms of work, sometimes it was more physically demanding, but it was always just for a couple of hours, which was very fair. If you wanted to start early in the day to avoid the heat and to have more free time in the afternoon they we're also flexible with that. Thank you so much for hosting us :)

Sharon, Paul, and Lottie made the land into a paradise. They follow beautiful permaculture -and other- principles to take care of the land, and you feel it takes care of them in return. I learned a lot here and was completely inspired, deeply rested, medicinally (plant) nurtured, when I left this place. I almost did not want to leave. It reminded me very anciently, that this is how humans were supposed to live on and with the land. The physical labour, followed by leisure time, really beautiful food (some of the best meals I have ever had), and rise and rest with the sun rhythm. This time has been very good for spirit and body. I learned about gardening, picking berries, animal husbandry (milking the goats, chickens, pigs), spinning wool, learned about cheese, yoghurt, water kefir, and bread making, about ways to preserve food (Sharon, you are so talented with everything you know about plant-medicine and gut health). I had some of the most wholesome meals I have ever had. I learned about working with wood and leather (Paul, you are very very knowledgeable about so many different things). And finally Lottie, I know no smarter 11-year-old with so much in-depth knowledge of living a self-sustainable life. I will never forget the time I spent with you as a family. For anyone who wants to come to this place, I just ask to respect the family values and the 5 hours that are asked for you, because what is given in return is so plentiful and beautiful, that you yourself probably wouldn’t want it anyway else.

Amazing, dedicated, incredibly hard-working and thoroughly good person volunteer. Still not sure how we will cope without him, nothing was too much for Phil. He was a pleasure to be around, very sociable with the other volunteers, and worked to the highest standards. He is very compassionate with animals, and very capable of handling large animals Very very highly recommend.

It was a very lovely experience to join Brandon on his sailing boat. He is a very open person and loves sharing his home and knowledge about sailing and life ;). I was only on the boat for a short time but I learned so much in that short period because there is a lot to do on the boat and an active and exited captain. I did some fishing, windsurfing, diving and helping around the boat fixing some things and learned a bit of sailing. The vibes were very good on the boat and the music is always playing. Would definitely love to come back some day.

We stayed at the Dandenong temple for two weeks and it was an incredible experience! During our stay two retreats were going on and we got to participate in everything around our work schedule. Everyone here was incredible especially Sam who is in charge of working visitors. The food was great (thanks to Sam!) and the grounds and center are beautiful. You are also only about a 20 minute walk to the bus stop and there are lots of different walks to do in the area. We absolutely loved staying here and hope to return here or to another New center in the future!
