    ==========
    We are traveling to Australia between the 17.12.25 and 14.01.26.
    ==========

    Hello! We are an Australian & New Zealand family based in Berlin, where we settled back in 2010. We have a 5-year old son and a 14-year old dog. We love getting out into nature with both of them and discovering the many beautiful places in and around Berlin and Brandenburg. We find that cycling and camping is a great way to do this. When we can, we travel further afield to European destinations, and every few years, back to visit the family Down Under.
    We bought our house 4 years ago. It’s situated in a quiet neighborhood and borders a forest. However, it’s very well connected to Berlin and in just 5 metro stops you find yourself in a bustling part of the city. It’s about 30 minutes into central Berlin Mitte.

    We are situated just 20 minutes by metro from central Berlin, a wealth of galleries, museums and culture. The neighborhoods of Friedrichshain and Neukölln, well-known for their alternative scene and great bars and cafes, are just 15 minutes by metro. Our area of Schöneweide is situated close to the Spree river. It’s a quieter family area, but there are still nice restaurants here too.

    We are looking for a house-sitter to stay in our house and keep it warm and loved. There would be no expectations other than living in our house and enjoying the neighborhood. If it snows, the path (about 10m at the front of the house) would need to be cleared of snow to keep it safe for anyone walking by. Usual house-care tasks such as emptying the mail box, airing the house and watering the (few) plants would also be much appreciated.

    We simply don’t want our house to be empty and dark for a month, so if someone would enjoy staying here and filling it with light and life when we are away, it would be a win for both.

    Our dog will go to kennels while we are away, so it is not needed to care for him.

    Our house is about 120m2 with a 300m2 garden, spread over 2 levels. Downstairs is the kitchen, a large living room which opens onto the garden, and a guest room with toilet. Upstairs is the main bedroom, children’s room and bathroom. As it is a quiet street, there is always somewhere to park a car. Staying with a dog would be no problem.

    We are looking for a live-in house-sitter, who will love and care for our house and have a great time in Berlin.
