What can we say? Louise and Matt have been truly amazing, and we feel incredibly lucky to have shared our home with them. They stayed with us for around five weeks, but the time flew by far too quickly. They are everything you could hope for in helpers—kind, knowledgeable, reliable, and completely trustworthy. What really made their stay special, though, was who they are as people. Louise’s positivity and boundless energy brought so much light and laughter into our days (honestly, I’d love some of whatever she’s on!), while Matt’s calm, thoughtful, and grounded outlook was the perfect balance. Together, they were a joy to be around. They packed so much into their time here, and when they left, it genuinely felt like friends were leaving. We don’t just feel grateful for their help—we feel like we’ve made friends for life. We can’t wait to see you both again, whether here or in the UK.

We stayed with Elisabetta and Francesco for the last two weeks and truly had an amazing time. Even though the weather was cold and wet (which made us appreciate the few sunny days even more), there was a lot to do and new things to be learned. We enjoyed the different tasks, such as seeding new plants or fixing old nets. The fact that we were inexperienced with most of it wasn't a problem since everything was clearly communicated and Elisabetta was very patient and forthcoming. Both Elisabetta and Franceso are very kind, welcoming, and funny, and we really enjoyed spending time with them and sharing conversations over their really delicious meals. They provided us with everything we needed without us having to ask for it (even let Ella borrow some clothes because she, stupidly, didn't have ones that were warm enough). We're really going to miss them and Haru. Grazie mille per tutto! Hope to see you again. PS: We really hope that Haru and the chicken will become friends

This was the first stop of my journey in India, my first real adventure on a continent far from everything I’ve ever known. Before arriving, I was worried about many things, especially traveling alone. But from the very beginning, the team and the other volunteers made me feel safe, welcomed, and part of something meaningful. These days were intense, yet incredibly special. Even though this is not a carefree or light-hearted period of my life, this experience became an important part of my personal journey. The connections I built here made everything lighter and more beautiful than I expected. Working with the children was a true privilege. I hope to come back one day and see how much they’ve grown. In just two weeks, I realized that volunteering, for me, is not only about helping — it’s about understanding the world more deeply and strengthening my commitment to creating change in it. This place is not just a volunteer project; it’s a space for growth, reflection, and genuine human connection. If you’re considering coming here, know that you will leave with much more than you expect. Thank you to the team and all the volunteers. I hope our paths cross again. Let’s keep trying, in our own ways, to make this world a more just and beautiful place, one step at a time.

Adrain booked to stayed for 2 weeks but ended up staying for 3 weeks. After being rescued in the Tassie wilderness after motorbike break down. He is a very polite and respectful person towards myself, my animals and the forest. He was always left alone to do his jobs which he always did. He did some little building projects for my animals. He built up trust that I let him use my only car. To travel into town over two days to repair his bike to get back on his adventure. He used both my accommodation over his stay and he left them both as clean and tidy as when he moved into them. He is a good Man.

Living with Niranjan has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Arriving without expectations, without assumptions, and simply allowing yourself to flow with this unique daily rhythm, the lovingly prepared food, the natural surroundings, the birdsong, the deep and inspiring conversations creates something truly special. It was an incredible experience. This hostel was a place that changed my life, and the manager "Ali Bali" as we called him, was more than a host; he was our friend. His team are wonderful people, and Junos is a man with a big heart who surprised us with delicious meals, Zelda She was always very attentive and kind to us, giving us the opportunity to live a unique experience in the heart of Türkiye. If you want to have one of the best experiences of your life, don't hesitate to visit this place !

We spend two weeks in the Daintree with David and we had an amazing time. David knows so much about the area and it's nature. He showed us all the different sides of the Daintree. The mangrove, the dryer parts, the beaches. Secret waterholes and a lot of cool animals!! We tried a lot of tropical fruits which we had never even heard about before. David also knows a lot about many other things and is great at sharing knowledge and ideas on all subjects, we honestly had such a wonderful time with him.

Gero is one of my favorite workawayers. If you get the opportunity to host Gero Jump at clicking YES! He is very easy to host being super conscientious, clever, gives 💯 effort every day. Gero only has to asked to do something your way once, he listens and does the job to a top standard. Gero always uses his initiative so there is no need to oversee him as he works. I was very sad to see him leave but I know he will have a fabulous trip around NZ leaving nothing but good wishes from other hosts. When I checked the caravan he had lived in while with me I was so very pleased but not surprised to find he had left it cleaner and tidier than he when he arrived. I found this perfectly described Gero. Thank you so much for choosing to spend time with me giving me so much help. I find myself smiling thinking of you. GG

Where to start? Our stay with Nick and Arana was so amazing! As soon as we arrived, we felt very welcome and part of the family! They are so generous, kind, enthusiastic, always happy, and very fun! They are also really hard-working and have built a true paradise! They live an eco-ethical life and are so inspiring! Every day here was a new experience. Everything we did was interesting, with a great variety of tasks: gardening, picking, building, cooking… They have huge knowledge of permaculture and how to live autonomously. They are really good at teaching and take the time to explain and share their experience. We have learned so much from them. We also had the chance to spend a week working at Annie and Bart’s (Arana’s parents’ place), where we had such a good time too! We had a lot of fun playing many card and board games, sharing music, and doing art! This family is so creative and very interested in many subjects, with always interesting talks! We feel so grateful to have been welcomed into this family! It was so hard to say goodbye, and we hope to see each other again very soon, either in Tassie or in France! ❤️

It was a genuine pleasure having Werner come and stay and work on our farm in early 2026. I have been a host for 27 years now and had hundreds of people come through doing work exchange and Werner was a sincere great pleasure to have around. He has wonderful skills, great work ethic and is very capable and able and organised. He connects with younger and older people, can mentor and teach others and shows great care and support for hosts. I highly recommend Werner to anyone as a great asset to have around to help and a lovely, honest man and good company for anyone. Wishing him well on his travels

Jaimie is such a gem! Don't miss the opportunity tu have her in your project. Even our activities were spontaneous and quite varied, she had always the best attitude to work on them, and she was very helpful. Positive vibes and smiles is what you'll get from this brave cycling soul. Thanks Jaimie, you'll definitely will be missed and are always welcome to come back.

Our time on this remote and magical island with Rex and his partner Ines was truly special and unforgettable. From the very first day, life on the island felt simple, natural and deeply grounding. The accommodation had everything we needed, without unnecessary luxury, which made it easy to disconnect and fully enjoy being close to nature. Sleeping under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the ocean and the jungle, was incredibly peaceful, we have honestly never slept so well before. The island itself is stunning, quiet and full of life, a real hidden paradise. Everything around daily life was very well organized, from the boat transfer to the island to food supplies and logistics, so we could simply relax and enjoy the experience. Our daily tasks were light and meaningful, mainly helping to take care of the island by sweeping, removing stones and keeping paths clean. It never felt demanding, but rather like being part of the place. Rex and Ines are incredibly kind, warm and welcoming. They explained everything clearly, made us feel safe and comfortable, and created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We shared beautiful moments cooking and eating together, playing games and enjoying simple island life. The underwater world was one of the biggest highlights. The coral reef around the island is breathtaking and truly one of the most beautiful we have ever seen, both for snorkeling and diving. We saw baby sharks and turtles, and it is clear how much care and respect for marine life is part of this place. Kimo completed his Advanced Open Water certification during our stay. Rex is an excellent and very professional dive instructor, and the shipwreck dive was an unforgettable experience. This island is a truly special place because of its nature, the people and the meaningful shared moments. We are deeply grateful for this experience and would return anytime.

we are two french girls, we spent two weeks here and it was such a great way to discover amman in a safe and warm place feeling like home. thanks to all the staff that is amazing !

I received a very warm welcome from Lisa and James and felt right at home! They have a lovely house with a beautiful garden and a lovely natural pool. I helped with weeding, cooking, and painting. They introduced me to and allowed me to participate in all their activities, which was wonderful: the tea ceremony, the sacred cacao ceremony, and the 5 Rhythms dance. I also participated in the yoga workshop organized by Lisa, and afterwards we enjoyed a wood-fired sauna, followed by an ice bath and finally a magnesium foot bath! We had some very interesting conversations, and I really appreciate their philosophy of life. They are such generous people!

Sam stayed with us about a week. It was a short time but it was enough to be friends. He is a very lovely and responsible person and as a volunteer he was always ready to help whenever i needed. We did some farm works together. And he is also very helpful at kitchen. I definitely recommend him to all other hosts.

C'est un havre de décompression .Si vous osez saisir l'opportunité d'être bousculé pour grandir, vous pouvez vivre de profonds échanges où vous repartirez le cœur, l'esprit et le corps plus ouverts et dans l'accueil de votre chemin. Un merci n'est pas à la hauteur de ce que j'y ai vécu et rencontré. J'ai pu expérimenter mon amour de la cuisine végétarienne pour de si belles personnes.Merci Mithia ❤️, Jean-Yves, Françoise, Pote, Kan, Lilas ...et aux autres volontaires ainsi que les belles personnes qui ont séjourné lorsque j'étais là. I had a great stay with Marc and Kerrianne and I am very grateful for this experience. I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived and really appreciated having my own room, which allowed me to keep my privacy while still sharing daily life on the farm. Even though I am not vegetarian, I ate very well during my stay and enjoyed discovering a different way of eating that was more local, simple and connected to the environment. On the farm, I took part in many different tasks, which helped me develop a lot of new skills, both in home gardening and in gaining knowledge about plants, the environment and local biodiversity. I also had the chance to see a lot of wildlife in its natural habitat, including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, pythons, scorpions, possums, parrots, echidnas and even a platypus. For me, this was a completely different and much more meaningful experience than seeing animals in a zoo. I also really enjoyed the fact that there were often other helpers staying at the farm. This made it easy to meet people from all over the world and exchange about our cultures, lifestyles and ways of thinking. These conversations were very enriching. Thanks to Kerrianne, I had the opportunity to join the local gem club, meet local people and learn new skills in jewellery making and lapidary work. She introduced me to the club as she already knew it and I am very thankful to her for that. Marc is very talkative and open minded, and it is possible to talk with him about many different subjects, which makes conversations very interesting. During my workaway, I shared many great moments with Marc and Kerrianne, between work, discussions and discovering beautiful natural places, as well as local events. I also enjoyed spending time playing pool together, which was a lot of fun. I leave with many great memories, new skills and meaningful connections.

Dear Kitty and Kwen, thank you so much for having us! Although it was a short stay, it created unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. In particular, the experience of interacting with locals and other tourists at the smoothie shop was truly invaluable. Both Kitty and Kwen made sure we enjoyed our stay in Ayutthaya to the fullest. And Grandma, too, treated us to the most wonderful food in the Kingdom of Thailand. We wished we could have done more to help you all. We will definitely come back to assist you again! The Croatian Trio! What a wonderful time we had with them. Polite, conscientious, keen to learn, clean and with a wonderful sense of humour. They stayed for three weeks and we wished it was three months; not only was their work exemplary but we had many happy evenings have a chat and a laugh. We have our fingers crossed that they come back but if not, wish them well on their travels! Bok!!
