Description
Hello future friends!
Welcome to our page. We are Lisa and James, a happy, conscious couple who both grew up in the UK traveled extensively, and finally crossed paths in Sydney of all places Ready to create a new adventure together, we chose to become custodians of a little patch of paradise here on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
Our 2.5-acre sanctuary is alive with birdlife and marsupials, surrounded by 200+ mature, colorful shrubs and trees. We’re dedicated to nurturing this land, enhancing the topsoil, and cultivating a haven of health and well-being for all who visit. Our journey is deeply rooted in biodynamic principles, permaculture and soil regeneration practices, continuously learning from the rhythms of nature.
The property is also home to a healing space featuring a wood-fired sauna, a natural eco pool, ice bath during isummer, a pyramid for meditation, a tree tent, sit spots and hammocks. There’s also a chill-out space, with a table tennis table for some playful relaxation in between work hours.
Depending on our other commitments, we love sharing practices like yoga, tea ceremonies, qi gong, tai chi, nei gong fusion, and breathwork, as well as other relationship enhancing modalities that help reconnect you to your own inner wisdom. Many say this is no ordinary farm stay and we love that. We are selective to maintain the sanctuary’s sacredness and to mutually share with the right people but if you’re hard-working, curious in nature and willing to help us in our sustainability goals, like helping with food production, land care, fostering the flourishing of all life, then we would love to welcome you to co-create something magical.
Past friends and Workawayers have helped us terrace gardens around the eco pool, build 16 raised beds for organic food, plant native bush hedges, prune, collect wood, build paths, create soil, and weed. There’s always something to do to keep this space thriving, and we’re endlessly grateful to all who lend a hand.
Accommodation is in a converted, self-contained bus with a cooker, fridge, shower/ composting toilet, a cozy double bed, internet, and a snug living space, ideal for an intimate couple. Solo travellers are also welcome and can sleep in a king single bed in the main house if the bus is already occupied. There is also a covered outdoor space with gas hob, table, chairs and table tennis. If you love being close to nature, sleeping close to the stars and be woken by the birds, you will find this place magical. We’ll provide simple and healthy breakfast ingredients and tea for you to help yourself to 7 days a week, plus shared tasty home cooked dinners in our main house 5 nights a week. Cafes and supermarkets are just 10 minutes away for extra snacks and lunch.
The exchange: 22 hours of help per week with land projects, typically 8 am - 12 pm across 5 days (or about 3 hours a day, flexible). Ideally you’ll need your own transport to get here and to explore this beautiful part of Australia.

We have been on our own learning journey including biodynamic principles, aligning with the lunar cycles, permaculture practices, and regenerative agriculture to be in harmony with the land. We are happy to share what we know and our learning.
We enjoy sharing some of our favourite practices and wisdom for those on a spiritual path. We enjoy deep conversations over meals together.
There is also an illusion of being a away from civilization, the hustle and bustle. Everyone who visits here feels the benefit of the serenity here and yet we are only 10 minutes from the coast, shops, cinema, cafes, safe swimming beaches, river walks and surfing beaches.
If you love nature there is a lot to enjoy at our home with beautiful trees, shrubs and an array of wildlife that visit our property every day. There is plenty to learn about Australian nature here.
Our local pristine beaches and so many beautiful coastal walks are only 10 mins away. Dolphins have been sighted often, surfing the waves close to shore. Inland from us are some of the oldest rainforests in the world, which are magical to visit with waterfalls and ancient trees.
It’s a very special place and we look forward to meeting you.Help

What else ...
The beaches are stunning in this area. Nambucca Heads has both river walks and a gentle bay. 5 mins further up the coast is an open ocean beach for your surfing pleasure.
Bellingen is a beautiful country town well worth a visit and the monthly markets are definitely worth a visit.
We do freestyle dance there every Friday. This is called 5 Rhythms if you have ever heard of it. We can go together if it appeals or if you want to give it a go.
Dorrigo rainforest walk has a waterfall you can walk underneath. This area is truly spectacular. This is an easy day trip on your day off.
Both Nambucca Heads and Macksville are about 10 mins away by car. Both have nice cafes to eat at if you don't want to drive further afield on your time off. You will need a car to get to us and explore the area.A little more information
