Techi is hands down the best host I’ve ever had. I was supposed to stay for just one week, and I ended up staying two😻 The house she’s building is right in the middle of the forest — truly magical. She has two wonderful kittens and a vegetable garden, and this is a place where you can genuinely relax and disconnect from the stress of the outside world. We spent New Year’s Eve together at her friends’ place, who were kind enough to lend me a bicycle so I could move around with complete independence. The workload was very manageable, and the days were naturally paced by birdsong and mate — a traditional drink Techi loves to share. I highly recommend this experience to anyone with a real desire to live close to nature (using a forest toilet and sleeping in a tent). Techi is an amazing person who will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. She also has a lovely fireplace where you can chat and unwind in the evenings. The communication with her was always súper clear and easygoing. She lives 5 minutes by bicycle from a minimarket and she orders weekly whatever veggie or eggs you need directly from the producer. UN ABRAZO GIGANTE AMIGAAA🫶🏻💕🙏🏻

Mary is a very hardworking, respectful, and pleasant young woman. We truly enjoyed spending time with her. In fact, we initially agreed that she would stay with us for three weeks, and it ended up feeling far too short. We would have loved for her to stay longer, but there was no more work to do with us at that point. Still, I would always say that if you ever need help, you can fully trust Mary. As I’ve mentioned, she is an excellent worker, adapts easily to any situation, is always willing to help, very cooperative, and above all, a genuinely good person. Thank you, Mary, for sharing this time with us. It has been a pleasure to have you and to get to know you, and we hope to stay in touch with you. THANK YOU SO MUUCH!!!

We had a wonderful stay with Andrea and Cyrus and are very grateful for the time we spent with them. Harley worked on building a structure, while I helped with cooking, cleaning, and sewing projects. They have an impressive range of tools available and were very open-minded and encouraging of our ideas, which made working together both easy and enjoyable. We especially loved sharing lunches together, talking about our lives, exchanging stories, and really getting to know one another on a personal level. It felt welcoming and genuine from the start. We wish Andrea and Cyrus all the very best for the future and can’t wait to see their garden in summer when it’s in full bloom.

We have stayed with Yiannis for almost one month and it was a really great time for us! We were there over Christmas and New year and are very glad about that, it was lovely. We saw the big lake in Zacharo and the thermal springs, we had nice food together, visited ancient Olympia, sat by the warm fire and cuddled the dogs. We also met some other people during our stay, and had some nice game nights. We were able to do kind of whatever we want and build our own schedule and we also learned something about the Greek lifestyle, traditions and language which was really amazing! We would definitely recommend to visit this beautiful and open space. We are really grateful for this opportunity we had and would always love to come back!

From the moment I arrived in Bezzecca I was so kindly welcomed by Federica, Alberto and their lovely children. They immediately made me feel like I was a part of their family and were incredibly supportive and caring. This was my first workaway experience and I could not imagine a better family to spend almost two months with. I had the best time. Thank you.

Sorry for so late update,Þór is my first work away host, he is nice, sincere and patient, as well as his father, friends, workers. For work, when I arrived it was winter season, so I didn't get much work. Most of the time, we watched movies together, Þór could pinpoint any movie that you mentioned immediately, it's so unbelievable. And when he is not so busy, he would also drive me to nearby spots, so every day is interesting and impressive. After this, we're still friends and keep connecting 🍀

I arrived looking for a good summer, some honest work, and new people to meet. What I found was a place that’s genuinely well run, deeply human, and surprisingly easy to feel at home in. Alex and Greg are not “hosts” in the distant sense of the word. They’re warm, funny, approachable, and very grounded people. Everything is explained clearly from the start, expectations are fair, and they genuinely respect your time. Work hours are transparent, days off are real days off, and there’s a constant check-in to make sure you’re comfortable and enjoying the experience—not just getting things done. The work itself is straightforward and easy to understand: light maintenance, gardening, helping around the guesthouse, interacting with guests. Nothing stressful, nothing confusing, and always done in a relaxed, respectful atmosphere. It’s the kind of work that fits naturally into your day without draining all your energy. One of the best parts was the people. The guests were friendly, open, and fun to be around, and the dynamic with other Workawayers felt more like a shared summer than a work arrangement. Conversations, laughs, and spontaneous moments happened naturally—no forced “community vibes,” just real ones. What really stands out is how human the whole experience feels. You’re treated as a person, not as free labor. There’s trust, flexibility, and a genuine effort to make sure you leave with good memories, not just completed tasks. If you’re looking for a Workaway where things are clear, fair, well-organized, and genuinely enjoyable—this is one of those places. I left grateful and with the feeling that I’d been part of something simple, well done, and very real.

I had a wonderful time volunteering in Dar Bouazza at the camper park, and met some really kind and generous people Moroccon's and foreign travellers through this experience. The work was light and easy checking guests in and out, keeping the common areas tidy and helping out with tasks at the permaculture farm. I met the host Brahim after a few days being at the farm and had a wonderful time with him exchanging our cultures. The whole place has been built with so much intention and hard work it is hard not to be inspired by it all - the permaculture farm, the yoga studio, the kitchen etc. It is a peaceful place and can be source of much needed calm. While I enjoyed the tasks and my time at the farm, there were a couple of things which would help improve a volunteers experience - 1) clear layout of the schedule, so that the 5 hours are clearly structured, I found there were guests checking in and out throughout various times of the day therefore, was required to stay at the farm for the entirety of the day . 2) I didnt get to interact with the hosts much at all the first few days and found myself to be alone at the farm with not much interaction at all. Therefore, if you are looking for more of a cultural exchange and connection you may want to reconsider. 3) If you are travelling in winter the volunteer room gets quite cold, although there were plenty of blankets provided, one of the main ways to get warmer was to light the fireplace in the room, which I managed to light once as I dont have much experience with lighting fires. But if you are comfortable and experienced doing so, it can be a really wonderful experience. Unfortunately, due to some change in my plans I was unable to stay a whole 2 weeks as agreed upon and had to shorten my stay. I do apologise to Loubaba and Brahim for the inconvenience this caused. But truly want to thank both of the opportunity and the memories.

I had such an unforgettable time in Mallín – I will never forget it. I really enjoyed working with the horses, doing trail work, as well as other tasks like preparing markers and marking the trail. The horses were truly a highlight; every single one of them is lovely in their own way. Most of the work took place outdoors, which I absolutely loved. The team consists mainly of young, amazing people, which made the whole experience even better. Just keep in mind that most of them are Chilean, so having at least basic Spanish is very helpful to fully enjoy the experience. I spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve with everyone, which I really appreciated and enjoyed. The place itself is very remote, but by hitchhiking I was able to explore many of the beautiful places around together with the others. There is so much cool stuff to do in the area! I can’t thank you enough, Francesco, for making this experience possible for me. I miss the team, the horses, and Bandito so much, and I really hope I can come back someday!

I had a wonderful time volunteering at Houda's Hostel, where I had the opportunity to meet some amazing guests, who I will be calling friends for life. Houda's instructions for the work were very clear and she is also very accomodating when I wanted time off. There are so many highlights of volunteering here, including being in one of the most amazing beaches, access to world class surf, amazing Moroccon food, mostly of which I enjoyed Houda's cooking just the most amazing breakfasts and dinners for all of us( volunteer's eat with the guests, which is very nice as it helps connect with everyone) and the three cats who will win over your heart in no time. Houda treats her volunteers with as much care as her guests, which is a really nice experience. I look forward to visiting again one day. Highly recommend volunteering here for a great experience!

I stayed with Roshnii, Prem and their family for one month. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I felt welcomed, cared for and respected. I arrived at a time when the surrounding land had been severely damaged by wildfires, and most of my time was spent helping with hands on practical work to build and carry out repairs, which was extremely rewarding because of the amount of new skills I acquired. That's not to say my days were limited to just this, for example gardening and childcare were options should I choose. There was a very healthy and dynamic balance between working and leisure/down time. I was free to walk to and from the local village, to get to know the local community, and accompany the family on trips to local markets and events. Where necessary Prem and Roshnii were more than accommodating in providing lifts (for example attending a dance class in a nearby town), so I never felt 'stuck'. The food was organic and tasty. Although I'm not sure which I enjoyed more, the food I was eating or the funny conversations I would have with the family whilst I was eating it. Needless to say I came away from every dinner time having either learnt something new or having laughed to my belly. Usually both. Any questions I had were answered, any personal issues I was having were acknowledged, and any needs I had were met. If you're looking for a deep sense of community, purpose, learning and fun then I couldn't recommend this project more. I have memories I'll cherish for the rest of my life, and I hope to visit again one day in the not too distant future. 🤝☀️🌳

Giuliano stayed with us for three months and he was just perfect. Besides being very polite, kind, intelligent and friendly, Giuliano was a great help in managing the hotel, adapting easily to our needs and those of our guests with an excellent spirit of collaboration. We appreciated his company, his always positive and discreet presence and the reliability and commitment with which he carried out the most diverse tasks. Thank you so much Giuliano for these months and come back whenever you want!
