Description
We are an eco-lodge nestled deep in the heart of Patagonia. Surrounded by wild landscapes, we live and work with horses, forest trails, a greenhouse, cozy cabins, and a small restaurant. Being off the grid means that when something breaks, we fix it resourcefulness is part of daily life here.
We welcome a steady flow of travelers from all over the world, so speaking more than one language is definitely a plus. Nearby, you’ll find some of the region’s most iconic natural wonders: the Marble Caves, Patagonia Park, and the stunning Chelenko Lake.
Our team is made up of around ten people of all ages, backgrounds, and corners of the region. We’re a diverse bunch — each very different — but we live and work together with a lot of joy and mutual respect.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
From here, you can explore some of Patagonia’s most breathtaking corners — glaciers, the Marble Caves, Chelenko Lake, Patagonia Park, and more. They’re all relatively close by, though keep in mind that distances in Patagonia are shaped by weather and road conditions, which can vary day to day.
Thanks to the region’s unique geography, the culture and traditions here are unlike anywhere else in Chile. The food, the music, the dance — everything has its own distinct character. It’s a world apart, and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
Help
We’re looking for someone very specific.
If you’re genuinely passionate about horses, adventure, and the kind of work that requires both grit and heart, this might be for you. We’re seeking a committed volunteer to join our lodge in Patagonia over the coming months.
Your role will include general maintenance, caring for our horses, and leading guided horseback tours through the surrounding landscapes. In exchange, we offer full accommodation and meals.
This position requires a minimum commitment of 1.5 months — and a strong sense of responsibility.
If that sounds like you, get in touch.

Accommodation
We offer accommodation in one of our two staff houses. Rooms are shared with one or two others (never more than three per room), and all meals are provided. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know in advance.
Lunch is prepared daily by our kitchen team and served at 1 p.m. in the administration house. Since about half of our staff are vegetarian, we make sure to offer varied options each day.
Breakfast and dinner don’t follow a fixed schedule — they’re flexible depending on your work hours. You’ll always find plenty of food available in the kitchen, so you can help yourself whenever it suits you.
What else ...
During your time off, you’re free to enjoy the place and the pace that suits you best. You can go horseback riding, relax at our beach, explore the trails, sleep in, or head out to travel the region and discover Patagonia’s beauty on your own terms.

Manjar
Manjar is the oldest mare in the herd. Her age shows in the way her weight fluctuates, and for that reason she is no longer ridden. Independent and serious, she doesn’t rely on the group, preferring her own company most of the time. Yet in moments of weakness, she seeks comfort in Rafa — her eternal admirer — and their bond reveals her softer, affectionate side.
Capuchino
Capuchino is the latest addition to the herd. He is a small male in size, but what he lacks in stature he makes up for in spirit. Serious about his role, he sees himself as a giant and never backs down from anything. His courage and determination make him a remarkable presence despite his size.
Indio
Indio is the largest horse in the herd and the undisputed alpha. A powerful male with a commanding presence, he sets the pace and tone for the others. His elegance and striking beauty make him the kind of horse everyone dreams of — majestic, confident, and unforgettable.
Cora
Cora is new to the herd, having just arrived this season. It didn’t take her long to adapt, and she quickly found her place among the others. She is a little shy at first, but her cheerful and optimistic nature shines through, making her a delight for everyone around her.
Choquita
Choquita is an older mare, though not the oldest in the herd. She came to us already aged, she hadn’t even tasted oats before arriving. She is wonderfully friendly and always eager to keep up with the herd. She gets along with everyone and brings a cheerful spirit to the group.
Rafa
Rafa was once the undisputed alpha of the herd, until Indio arrived and age gradually shifted him from that role. Still, he remains an impressive stallion — strong, noble, and full of character. He is a hopeless romantic, eternally in love with Manjar, and carries himself with a passionate spirit. Riding Rafa is not for beginners; it takes an experienced hand to truly appreciate and manage his power and temperament.
