We spent a gorgeous 2 weeks with Simon & Adi who gave us the warmest of welcomes and made us feel at home instantly. Amongst many other new skills learnt, we were shown how to drive the quad bike, prune trees, roast coffee beans and introduced to a wide range of TV series! Simon and Adi showed such patience and enthusiasm in sharing their vast skills/knowledge. The food and drinks were incredible, and we had a cosy caravan to ourselves but were always welcome in the house! The warmest and kindest family, we will remember our time with Simon & Adi for the rest of our lives and we are eternally grateful to them for taking us in and all the things we learned from them!

What can I say, one month turned into four. This place is absolutely magical. Gio is building something pretty special here and it is a very welcoming environment. I got to meet Gio's friends who became my friends, the Sunday jam night is extremely fun and highly recommended. I had a few experiences here and met some people who all I can say is I was a better person leaving this place I am just glad that I was able to help in some way to help Gio build what he is building and I am following his adventures and progress on Instagram and cant wait to see his dream become reality.

Staying with Marvin and Ivette was lovely! My husband and I stayed for two weeks with them. We helped them weed their gardens, maintain irrigation systems, prepare grapes to make raisins and we had the opportunity to help them harvest grapes for wine production, among other tasks. Marvin an Ivette are a very generous, honest and fun couple. We enjoyed evenings with them having delicious appetizers as we watched the sunset, Ivette baked a cake for my husband’s birthday (super delicious) and we learned a lot about Chilean culture, history, wine production and we got to play croquette! We also got to eat a lot of pears, figs and plums from their garden. We would absolutely recommend this Workaway experience. They are close to Pomaire, which is a nice little town to spend one evening or two and transportation is easy to get to other places like Valparaiso, Vina Del Mar y Santiago. We had an awesome time and we learned a lot!!

I recently stayed with Sam and Heron for 10 days and had a wonderful experience. The accommodations were separate from the main house (about 1/4 mile walking distance) and were comfortable and plenty large. There is a wood stove for heat, and power is solar with limited appliances. A power bank was helpful which the hosts let me charge at their house. Kitchen sink is outside and bathroom is detached and has running water. Plan for 20 minutes for the water heater to warm the 5 gals of water, for showers, etc. It is very quiet and the night sky is fabulous when not cloudy. It is about 3 miles to the ocean. Meals were delicious and varied; the hosts put care into each dish and accommodated dietary requests. Most importantly, the hosts were warm, respectful, and welcoming, creating a friendly and homey atmosphere that made the stay enjoyable. The work expectations were easy and fair, and I left feeling grateful for the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant, Workaway stay. Albion is in a beautiful setting and close by car to many scenic areas.

Driton was very pleasant to live with during the 10 days he spent at our home. Easygoing, always in a good mood, active. Things were simple. He both paid attention to what I asked for and had initiatives as well as suggestions on how to do things. He did gardening, put a little fence, turned the compost, planted a few plants, repaired the bicycle, cleaned the windows ... Driton went to Paris several times in spite of the long journey from here. We also had interesting conversations on deep subjects. He didn't seem to suffer from the fact that I was by myself at that moment, so that he didn't meet other people through us, my husband being travelling and our daughter having just left home to her new appartment. He organised his own activities and acted as an independent person while remaining well tempered and sociable..

We truly loved our experience! Meeting the community at the Dream Center was very enriching — people are warm and welcoming, and we really enjoyed attending the celebrations. At Kevin’s place, we felt like part of the family. We appreciated the time spent talking with him and his two boys; they are kind people, generous with their time, and always available. We also really enjoyed contributing to some of their current projects, getting to know them and the community they serve, and sharing some great meals together. This was our first Workaway experience, and we are very happy we had it with them. Thank you for everything!

Vittorio is the most kind person, we felt very welcomed from the very beginning and he also always made sure to let us feel how appreciated our help is. We stayed a couple days at Vittorio's wonderful place and absolutely loved being surrounded by so much nature and the amazing cactus garden. We usually spend our mornings at the beach, eating the most delicious oranges form the trees and walking along the sea with his lovely dogs. We would mostly work in the afternoon, the work was very chill and in general a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you so much for having us, the best of luck for you!!

Alice was a great Workawayer — quiet but intelligent, very open to learning new things, and an excellent team player. She adapted quickly, contributed thoughtfully, and brought a calm, positive presence to the land

I spend 6 beautiful weeks at this place. It was after the big storm and unfortunately the property has been affected too. So for a time there was no electricity at all but that was before I came to the Quinta. Nathan asked me beforehand if I still want to come since it was not sure when it will be back, the whole area there was affected and without electricity. I didn't think about it long and still went to it. I very much appreciated the transparency and communication with Nathan for all my stay there. He was always clear with the tasks and the instructions and most of the time there were enough tasks you could choose from depending on what you would like to do or your skills. The days off were flexible and you would always discuss in the morning or on the "monday meeting" (not always on a monday :D) what's the agenda and priority, who wants to do what, when you want to take days or time off, who cooks when, feedback, questions, concerns. We always did the cooking in turns and I liked that we always had dinner (and mostly all meals) all together. The tasks were various; feeding the pets, smaller or bigger building projects, gardening, organizing/cleaning, sewing. Nathan put a lot of trust in you and you could manage your work hours independently but made sure that he is available for questions or you would work together. He always cared about your wellbeing, made sure you feel comfortable and have fun. The Quinta is such a unique place and the whole property and garden has a beautiful ambience. We had some sauna sessions and the pool is getting ready for the season too. Sometimes we went to Pachamama; a cute vegetarian restaurant/bar where they have small concerts or open mics. We had some movie nights with popcorn or playing Settlers of Catan, a few jam sessions. We cooked nice food, baked cakes, went hiking. And the work never felt like work work, even though on a few days it was very physical but I always woke up motivated and excited for the day and the work because I really became part of the project and the vision, so I would say I put my heart into it and loved to see things evolving to make this place even better. I am missing Minnie and Max and the sheep :(. So be prepared for lots of cuddles! Life is good at the Quinta, you lack nothing. I loved the vibe and my whole time there. I didn't even want to leave. Nathan is a kind and humorous person and a great host. I will definitely come back to visit or for volunteering. I can genuinely highly recommend this workaway! Everyybody huuurts ;) Sending lots of love!

Luca was a dream workawayer - kind, polite, hard-working, fun to hang out with, capable, bright and curious person. His creative gardening skills were top notch. He got along with all the animals like he was one of the pack. And he went along with dancing, hiking and socializing propositions with equal consideration and easy-going generosity of spirit. I highly recommend him as a trustworthy and steady human. Thank you Luca for taking such good care of all of us!

Saskia was such a sweet and kind person! She has a very warm energy, is easy to be around, and quickly became part of our routine. She also introduced us to a great coffee, and of course, she completely fell in love with passion fruit Snickers hehe. We’re really grateful for the time we shared and would happily host her again. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Evan as a Workawayer. From the very first moment, he surprised me: he arrived riding a small BMX bike fully loaded with all his backpack and gear, determined to cycle around Europe on it. Absolutely amazing! He was always eager to help with anything that needed doing. He was proactive, curious to learn, and happy to chat while working in the kitchen. Even in winter, he decided and he was also very happy living in the tipi with a fire on the ground, he told me that he loves the fresh air in the mountains and the nature. On top of that, Evan is a strong and capable guy with solid knowledge of construction. He was a great help in the forest, building new paths and cutting trees , and he also assisted me with fixing the car and the tractor, offering useful advice based on his own experience. Evan, thank you so much for your time and all the hard work you put in. It was a real pleasure having you here. I wish you an incredible journey across Europe and hope our paths cross again someday!

Nicola is very welcoming and friendly! My roommate and I spent the week with him and had a great experience. The work was relatively easy with the exception of taking time. When he was free, Nicola took us around the towns and to sight see all the beautiful places; even taking us out to a few restaurants! The scenery around the farm is beautiful and we never got bored.

Where do I even start.... I reached out to Blai out of the blue this winter. He was happy to accept me for as long as I needed & flexible with my arrival. From the first day, I felt I had met back with an old friend. Blai made me feel welcome, giving me many options for my comfort. Though it was a cold time of year- everything worked out beautifully All of the animals within the property seem to live in a harmonious way. They are so full of love even to a stranger like myself. It was a pleasure to become apart of this family for a short time. The work we did together was very fair. Blai is attentive and has an eye for detail which I respect. I helped clear some jungle for future roadways, sowing this years seeds to insure a thriving garden & helped create new a project to ensure security of the property. Blai was very open to share& listen to ideas in order to come up with the best possible solution. We ate foods sourced locally or from Blai's personal garden. A true experience. To me, a luxury. The definition of life. Blai, I could write on and on but I mostly would like to thank you for accepting me. Thank your for all of our talks & Ideas we created as a team for us to implement into our lives. For anyone looking to truly learn about living a life away from everyday society. I recommend you pay a visit to Blai at the refugee. There are lots of projects on the go which could always use extra hands. Until next time my friend
