We have a variety of works to do, so we can decide together based on your attitudes or preferences and our priorities time by time
    ***

We are a family of 3, mother (43), father (51) and son (6). We are travellers and creative. We love to put our hands into manual things and learn every day. We love music, cooking healhy dishes, we love the snow and gardening.
Myself I am fond at interior design and I love sewing. I am interested in learning about upholstery and ecoprint.
My husband has a little carpentry lab for his spare time and plans to start doing wood toys 100% eco fiendly for kids one day.
Just moved from Milan to our dream house on the Alps to live in harmony with nature and gaze at the surprising landscape all around.
Our house went through big renewal last year, now it's the turn of the external part! :-)

    Here you can:
    - enjoy the great view to the Alps and sun raises on the plain (we are on a hill)
    - try the itineraries in the nature all around
    - enjoy relaxed village life: Torre Pellice is a cosy nice little town (5.000 dwellers) with restaurants, bars, book shops, minimarkets, etc.

We offer comfortable and independent 50 m2 accommodation and bills coverage (energy, heating etc included). We don’t include food expenses, but we are happy to share meals here and there with our family whenever possible.

    Help

We’re looking for some help with a variety of tasks, and we’ll figure out what works best based on your skills, preferences, our priorities, and of course, the weather and the season. Here’s what we’re working on:

    - In the garden: The fruit trees need pruning based on the season, and the lawn (including the sloped areas) needs mowing. We’ve got some brambles to clear out too. Our new vegetable garden is waiting to be shaped up – we’re building a stone path and a stone wall, re-creating and improving the organic composter, experimenting with biodynamic methods, and of course, there’s always the joy of harvesting seasonal fruits together, prepare cakes, jam, juices. we’re also in the early steps of planning to build steps up to the vegetable garden, which is a little uphill behind the house. Another project is to cut some trees and replace them with a wild hedge.

    - Around the house: We have some fences to sand and repaint, and the wooden window shutters need to be sanded (this is a boring work so we are happy to alternate with other more fulfilling jobs). If you know a thing or two about electrical work, we could use some help finishing up a couple of little electrical tasks, But don’t worry if you’re not into that! Here and there we need some help with the general maintenance which may involve to clean the ditch from grass and leaves or take the private road road made in gravel which sometimes needs to be levelled to cancel the ruts made by car wheels.

We’ve got all the tools to make everything easier and more fun. 😄

As for the schedule, we’re super flexible. The only thing we ask is that you’re around on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays so we can be there to show you the works and explain things to get started. After that, you’re free to work at your own pace, depending on your other commitments. We are very much happy that you feel comfortable and feel that you have flexibility to wander around.

Since we’re tackling these projects over time, some things might already be done by the time you arrive. Just let us know if you’d like an update on what’s finished!

Can’t wait to get started and share this time together!

    Accommodation

We have a cozy, self-contained 50 sq meter apartment at garden level, with a separate entrance and full privacy. When Workawayers are staying, the apartment is for their exclusive use, offering complete independence and comfort. It has been recently renovated, with just a few finishing touches left.

The apartment includes a living room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge, freezer, no oven sorry), a spacious bedroom with a double and single bed, and a bathroom with a spa tub.

There is no washing machine in the apartment, but you’re welcome to use ours. We live on the upper floor, so you’ll have your privacy but we’re nearby if you need anything.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We will be happy to be helped on around 24 hours per week (if solo traveller) or 18 hours per week per person (if couples), anyway we are flexible with the schedule that can be arranged together.
If a work needs our guidance, it should be done during lunch time over the week days or during weekends when we are free. If you are independent with the work, you can do it whenever it's better for you.

The rest of the time you can enjoy your spare time and relax!
--> enjoy itineraries in the nature around home
--> visit the closest towns (Luserna center is 25 mins, Torre Pellice center is 50 mins away)
--> find all activities you need in the largest town Pinerolo (20 minutes by car or 30 minutes via public transport)
--> make some city life in Turin (1 hour drive with the car, 1,5 with the public transport)

Bus station is 25 mins on foot (please remind we are on a hill).

Ski resorts between 40 and 60 mins from us.
