I had the best experience here! It was my first workaway ever and i am so glad to have spent it there. The children are the sweetest and working and learning with them is so much fun. They might even teach you some Hindi words and sentences. Jyoti and Nandini are the nicest people and i am so grateful for meeting them! Their spirit towards the children and their education is amazing and it's truly impressive what they are achieving! The accommodation is great and the food they provide for every meal is amazing!! Also Yeshwant is a really nice person whom you can joke with all the time. His energy for the children to learn is so great. When not teaching, the city is an interesting place to explore and perfect to drink lots of great chai, Jyoti and Nandini can show you all the spots! So i am very happy and lucky to have met all of them and I will 100% come back everytime i'm in India!

I had a great week with Sekiwa and his family at their farm. I arrived late in the evening and was welcomed with a hearty meal of beef and sadza. We spent a few days working hard which I enjoyed - clearing and ploughing the field, harvesting maize, picking guava, etc... There was also plenty of time to relax, socialize and do whatever you want. The family are very kind and generous. My room was perfect- comfy bed, electrical plug in. We went one day to visit two of Sekiwa's children at their school a few hours away and had a nice meal there. The surrounding area is gorgeous. If you want to experience how people live in rural Zimbabwe I would recommend this experience, you will live exactly as they do and they treat you like family. They also have really friendly dogs and plenty of other animals. Sekiwa is also a very open minded individual, I appreciated talking with him about things, he looks at things in a very wise and measured way. All in all a great experience.

Suz and Cal stayed with us for 10 days, and it was truly a wonderful experience for our whole family. They are a very kind and easygoing couple who immediately became part of our daily life. They had great conversations with my boys, and even though there was a language barrier with my daughter, they still played with her so sweetly and found their own ways to connect with her. It was really lovely to see. They helped me so much with the household and were incredibly tidy, thoughtful, and proactive. They often noticed things that needed to be done and simply took care of them without me even having to ask, which I appreciated a lot. They also did fantastic work painting parts of the house and helping to get the garden back in shape after the winter.I really enjoyed our conversations and the time we spent together. I can warmly recommend them to any host and would be very happy to welcome them back—hopefully again this summer!

I had a really great time staying at Bodo's house in the countryside. The work was regularly scheduled for around 4 hours in the morning so there were clear expectations on working hours while Bodo left us more or less once instructions were given. There was mostly the pruning of olive trees or aiding with some of the road repairs next to the house. Nothing was difficult to do and I even began to like pruning the olive trees as it was quite meditative and I could also listen to podcasts while I worked. There were a few other workawayers for half of my stay but after I was alone and mostly independent during my resting hours. Unlike other workaways I've been to, there is less interaction in general and like Bodo notes in his description, those who aren't comfortable with being alone most of the time might want to come with someone else. I, however, enjoyed most of my time alone which was spent admiring the gorgeous sceneries and nature around me. I also cooked most of the meals and Bodo always bought the ingredients I needed. Bodo is very friendly and kind. He always was happy to bring me to and from the town where the bus station was located and he very kindly spoke German with me despite my very beginner level. There is never any pressure when working and Bodo is very fair when it comes to rest. All in all a very great and rewarding experience that I had here in the Italian countryside! Thanks Bodo!

The property is beautiful : having a view of the landscapes while relaxing in the middle of the forest was truely a great experience. The working conditions are fair, we were managing our own time as we wanted, doing 4 to 5 hours per day, collecting wood and building wood storages. Outside of work, we had plenty of activities to do such as cutting wood, heating the guest house and visiting the surroundings. Thomas hosted us very well by helping us without considerations, sharing his lifestyle and knowledge but also the local food, that he cooked perfectly every time ! After talking and laughing a lot with him, we can't encourage you enough to try this amazing stay by yourself. Thank you Thomas for everything ! Noa and Mathieu

Anna was a wonderful companion, and despite the chilly winter weather, we had a really enjoyable time together. Whenever the weather allowed, we spent time outside, and when it was too cold, we warmed ourselves by the fireplace, had engaging conversations, and even sang together. She contributed enthusiastically to a variety of tasks, from gardening to helping me with home renovations—especially grouting walls—which really helped me speed up creating my space. Apart of being hardworking and reliable person, I find her fun and engaging to talk to, our conversations were always interesting and respectful, allowing us to open up to different perspectives and learn from each other. I would highly recommend her to any host; she’s the kind of volunteer who brings energy, curiosity, and warmth to both work and daily life.

Doro stayed with us for 2 weeks and was helpful to the team. She took a little while to understand our system but once she got it she was helpful and the dogs enjoyed her love and attention. We appreciate Doros time and effort and wish her all the best with future experiences.

This review is for Cecilia only as she came to our experience alone. Cecilia was a star. She was caring, understanding and passionate about our work. She put in effort for the dogs and took great care of them as well as being very supportive to her teammates. We appreciate Cecilia’s time and dedication and hope she’ll be back to visit again one day! Highly recommended

I had a great week volunteering on this farm back in December. Cik Lah, Munira and their family have created something very special in their little corner of Perak. Everything was smoothly organised and tasks well explained, and communication easy. I left with a full heart and wishing I could have stayed much longer!

At the large farm of Jochen and Sonta we experienced some of the most beautiful moments of our lives. We met two wonderful people who generously offered us their hospitality. We are grateful for all the lovely days we spent together with them. We stayed for almost a month and became so close to this couple that we now consider them our family. I thank God that we were lucky enough to meet them.

Even though it was a shorter stay than expected, I really enjoyed it. Tee and Al are such nice people, always calm and friendly and open for a laugh. It was a pleasure to get an insight into the horse wisdom project. I will never meet horses again without paying attention to how I make them feel. Thank you for that! The work was easy to do with all necessities provided and it was a welcome change to get my hands dirty. And the greatest thing ever about the stay: the views! Amazing landscape, lots of birds and gumtrees. You really created a unique place with your farm. Thank you for hosting me! :)

Silas stayed with us for two weeks. He cycled from the Netherlands to Denmark during snowy winter and temperatures far below 0°C 🥶. He was a big help with things we needed help with, and also made some extra projects. It was easy to talk with him and to agree on how to do things, and he came with some good ideas, for example how to fill in an empty space in the kitchen, between the fridge and the dishwasher. He is skillful with tools, precise and willing to try new things. We are really happy that he reached to us, and that we hosted him. Good luck, and wish you all the best Silas 😊👋 Tonka & Ivan

had an amazing volunteering experience at this farmstay. The farm is run by three brothers who are incredibly welcoming and passionate about their work. During my stay, I helped harvest cumin, which was a really interesting and rewarding experience. It felt great to be part of the daily farm activities and learn more about traditional farming. One of the highlights was the food. All the meals were cooked over an open fire, which gave everything a wonderful, authentic flavor. Sharing these meals together made the experience even more special. The mud huts were fantastic—simple, comfortable, and very cozy. Staying there made me feel really connected to nature and the rural lifestyle. Overall, it was a beautiful experience full of learning, great people, and peaceful surroundings. I highly recommend this farmstay to anyone who wants to experience authentic farm life and meaningful volunteering.

Daniel and Orsi stayed with me for 10 days in February / March 2026. They were a great help and very willing to take on a wide variety of tasks. They did a wonderful job in the laneway garden with weeding, watering and mulching the plants. They helped me in the ceramics studio and picked up clay recycling techniques really quickly. Everything was kept neat and tidy in the house and it was really interesting for me to hear about their adventures in Sydney and travels around the world. I highly recommend Daniel and Orsi as great workawayers.

Axel & Smilla were a delight. They worked hard and showed incredible adaptability to address a variety of tasks, including caring for our younger animals to designing and building an impressive enclosure for rescued wildlife. What ever the task, they tackled it with enthusiasm & intelligence. They got on really well with the other workawayers both older and younger & fitted comfortably with our family adding to a very enjoyable family meals with lively conversations. They cooked us several utterly delicious Swedish meals and Smillas baking and deserts are to die for ;-) They are a mature and capable couple and we recommend them highly, and would love to see them return.

Beautiful accommodation right on the lake. Work is primarily in the garden and is not strenuous. Big lunch and dinner + campfires most nights, great vibes. Bring some books because there is lots of down time and bring some method for purifying your water. Josh and Calebu are super friendly and will make sure you have everything you need

Great place to be if you like engineering and plastics recycling manufacturing. There's a lot of opportunities to learn and be hands-on about the process and the machines👍
