Description
Welcome to Our Home in the Bavarian Alps!
I'm a single mom sharing this beautiful place with my three amazing kids—two adventurous teenage boys (14 and 16) and a lively 7-year-old daughter. We’re a close-knit family, and while their dad lives in Berlin, we’ve found a great rhythm that works for us all.
After many years in vibrant Berlin, we chose to trade city life for the tranquility of the mountains. Our home isn’t just a house—it’s where I grew up and where family and friends come together for holidays, celebrations, and spontaneous weekends.
Our cozy alpine retreat is perfect for nature lovers! The breathtaking mountain views, fresh air, and the charm of Bavarian village life make it an ideal place to unwind. We love outdoor adventures—mountain biking, hiking, and even surfing (yes, in Munich’s Eisbach!). When we're not exploring, we enjoy time with friends, embracing nature, and planning our next journey.
I work remotely for an IT company and also as a life coach and breathwork teacher, which gives me the flexibility to balance work and family. We’re a well-traveled, multicultural family with English and German roots, and we love connecting with people from different backgrounds.Types of help and learning opportunities

Our home is a unique blend of cultures, set in a picturesque Bavarian village. I’m well-traveled and have been to many different countries, which has shaped my open-minded approach to life. My mother is English, and we often switch between German and English at home.
Despite being surrounded by traditional Bavarian culture—with its charming villages, stunning landscapes, and deep-rooted customs—our family brings an international touch to daily life. We love exchanging ideas, sharing stories, and learning from different perspectives.Projects involving children

We’re new to Workaway but have years of experience welcoming people from different cultures into our home! For the past three years, we’ve hosted au pairs and loved sharing our daily life with international guests.
While my mother, who lives just around the corner, takes care of most of the gardening, some projects are too much for her alone—so we’re especially looking for help with outdoor work! Additionally, there are always small diy and repair projects around and in the house.
Now that my kids are older, we don’t need much childcare anymore, but we would love to have someone join us who enjoys being part of a family and helping out with everyday tasks.
Occasionally, it would also be great if you could spend some time with my 7-year-old daughter. More than anything, we’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a family, helping out where needed, and embracing the rhythm of everyday life in the Alps.
If this sounds like the right fit for you, we’d love to hear from you! 😊Languages spoken

As our Workaway guest, you will have your own bright and comfortable room with direct access to the terrace, where you can enjoy the sunshine and fresh mountain air. It’s a private and cozy space, offering a perfect retreat while still being part of our lively household.
Our home, built in the 1960s, has been lovingly maintained and thoughtfully modernized to combine comfort with character. It sits on a peaceful southern slope at the end of a cul-de-sac, offering breathtaking mountain views and absolute tranquility. The heart of the house is a spacious and inviting living room, perfect for cozy evenings, and a large, fully equipped kitchen with a bar area where we often gather. Two balconies, both facing the stunning alpine landscape, provide the perfect setting for a morning coffee or a relaxing evening.
Outside, you’ll find multiple seating areas to soak up the beauty of nature. In the summer months, our private outdoor swimming pool offers a refreshing escape. What else ...
We live on the outskirts of Nussdorf, a charming village with 2,700 inhabitants. It’s just a 5-minute walk down into the village, where you’ll find a bakery, a butcher, two restaurants, a post office, a bank, and a public swimming pool (summer). The nearest supermarket and train station are in Brannenburg, 4 km away, and we have a bicycle available for you to use, making it easy to get there.
From our doorstep, you can go hiking, rock climbing, and cycling, and there are beautiful lakes in the surrounding area for swimming or relaxing. The Austrian border is just 3 km south of the village, and day trips to Salzburg (100 km) or Munich (80 km) are easy and highly recommended!A little more information
