    Description

We are a private rescue dog sanctuary and park, home to dogs who couldn’t make it alone on the streets. It’s full of love and happy faces from furry friends of all sizes, personalities, and quirks, waiting to be loved.

I’m Jazmin, founder of the company, who works on a permanent mission to spay/neuter stray dogs and cats to reduce the stray population and prevent suffering. I rescue those in dire need and run an adoption program to find as many furry friends as possible, their forever homes. I’ve built a sanctuary for animal and nature lovers to come and enjoy a rescue dog care experience.

Our animal welfare organisation, VetVan Thailand, with our veterinary clinics, operate weekly mass spay clinics to help to spay and vaccinated 250-300 stray dogs every week / 9-10,000+ target for this year alone. We’re on a mission to spay and prevent more being born to suffering!
VetVan takes a lot of my dedication and hands on support with the stray dogs, so I’m often out in the field. While I hope to at Muttlands at least 2-3 times a week, I can’t be present as much as I would like to, so together with our wonderful Thai team, participants get to steal all the doggie love and joys that Muttlands has to offer while also having the opportunities to experience spay campaigns and rescue work! 🩵🐾

The dog sanctuary hosts up to 9 volunteers at a time, dog lovers from all around the world. We have live in Thai staff, local helpers and a manager who speaks English and Thai. You'll be able to see the traditional local way of living in rural Rayong. Most activities in the area are based around nature and culture. There is lots of beauty and doggies to see, experiences to share with other travelers. We are not in a tourist hotspot and everyone should be coming to the sanctuary to emerge themselves in nature and dogs 🐾 🍃 Get out and explore beaches, jungles or take days/night out at the local bars, restaurants or go on nature adventures, even a trip to Samet island is possible 😊

We run a rescue dog sanctuary in rural Rayong, dedicated to providing love and care to our pups. Support from international dog-lovers is key to our success in making our mutts forever happy!

You will be scheduled on 5 shifts a week. Either on AM or PM shifts.
    08:30-15:30
    12:00-18:30
Each shift includes a 1 hour lunch break and if on the AM shift, you can take other short breaks, after playground change overs, alternating with other participants or our staff can cover, to ensure you participate for only 5 hours a day.

But most people find being in the playground with adorable rescue dogs, often spending hours on the bamboo deck cuddling with them, ensures every shift is full of breaks and the physical “work” itself does not exceed 5 hours a day.

At our sanctuary, street dogs in danger or unable to survive on their own, find a safe haven to retire, heal and play. Partnering with our welfare organisation, this experience offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in animal rescue. Join us in enriching dogs lives & making a difference 🐾

Help playing with and caring for our rescue dogs in return for Thai countryside boarding, meals, friendly community and doggy cuddles until your hearts content. An open-minded atmosphere that encourages unwinding and active participation.

We are also seeking skilful, creative, handy or/and artsy doers, handymen and gardeners who are ready to get involved and get their hands dirty! Let us know your skills / experiences if you’re more interested in the maintenance roles.
