Lauren is an absolute delight to Host. Her bubbly nature is a standout, she is easy to laugh, quick to support others, flexible with multi-skills. Part of a large volunteer group, Lauren worked well individually and in a team. During Lauren’s stay she completed weed control, nursery work and propagation, planting, nature shed clean up, website page development and was one of 5 Leaders when we hosted the NZ Airforce for volunteer community service – her ability to confidently lead and make people feel at ease with clear direction is excellent. After our work day, Lauren generously shared her yoga skills, which was a big highlight for our volunteer group. Lauren was also exceptional at jumping into the kitchen, washing our many dishes after community meals and keeping our communal space clean. We really appreciated Lauren’s work ethic and joyous energy. We highly recommend Lauren to any Host. Keep spreading your joy Lauren!

Angela brings zest and vitality to every interaction. Her energy is akin to a firelighter, creating crackle and pop to any space she is in, then sprinkle qualities of curiousity, respect, thoughtfulness and kindness. Angela is a complete package and a delight to host. Part of a large volunteer group, Angela worked well individually and in a team, and loves to complete tasks. Thanks for your generosity Angela. During Angela’s stay she completed weed control, nursery work, propagation, trail building, planting, nature shed clean up, community service relations and was always helpful around our community kitchen. We highly recommend Angela. Enjoy the rest of your travels Angela!

Marianne brought a happy, calm and capable energy to everything she did, working easily on her own or as a team, and took pride in her work. Marianne was part of a large volunteer group, and was an absolute joy to host. Marianne did a variety of work with weed control, nursery work and propagation, trail building, planting, community service relations, and Marianne was always helpful around our community kitchen including making a delicious apple crumble on the last night. Marianne really enjoyed planting, and did a fabulous job planting out a steep hill solo. We loved Marianne’s curiosity and desire to learn everything she could while we were together. We highly recommend Marianne. Enjoy the rest of your trip Marianne!

I spend two weeks here and it was a nice experience. Two remarkable things: 1) u never gonna be hanger because they provide abundant food and in good quality too. 2) Bruno, one of the owner, is a sweetheart and he is very conscientious of what is happening with voluntaries. He is willing to give u a hand with the best good energy. Just two things I guess they must be pay attention at: 1) the house where voluntaries stay: full of filtrations on the roof (are lagoons there on the floor every time it’s raining ) Linkings in the bathroom (noisy and a waste of water) 2) There should be a form on bathroom’s door with the names of each person in the house, that way will be a register of who is the turn to cleaning up every day!!!! Many people, 1 bathroom and nobody ever cleaning it!!! In general, the farm is big, well maintained and organized. You will work 4 hs with a bunch of free time, and will have one day off at week. Fair for everyone and a great school of languages!! Thank u for have me, it was an experience full of energy and good people!!!

I look forward to meeting then soon.

We had a wonderful experience hosting Minori. She was very respectful of our house rules and adapted easily to our family life. She got along very well with the children and built a lovely connection with them. She is also an amazing cook – we enjoyed so many delicious meals thanks to her! We shared beautiful moments together and created unforgettable memories. We are truly grateful for the time we spent together and would happily host her again.

I had the chance to spend 4 weeks at Harim’s school and it was amazing! I started at the downtown school, where I stayed for a week, then I asked Harim if I could move to the uptown school and he was very kind to arrange this. I enjoyed both schools a lot, but I preferred staying in a quieter area. The downtown apartment is very close to the medina and there is a lot of stuff to do; the school is just a 5-minute walk from there. The uptown apartment is in the same building as the school, and it’s in a very quiet neighbourhood, far from the tourist areas, but it’s still very easy to reach the medina from there. In both apartments there are shared rooms for the volunteers and a shared kitchen. While I was there, there were always between 5–9 volunteers, and I really enjoyed the time I spent with them. Everything you need is within walking distance, and I especially enjoyed the uptown apartment being very close to the main market. The work was very easy and fun: you just have to have short conversations with the students (about 15–20 minutes each). Most of the students were high school or university students, but there were also some children and adults. Sometimes we could have free conversations; other times we were given questions to ask the students, especially if they were beginners. Thanks to these conversations, you have a great opportunity to really get in touch with the locals and to learn a lot about Moroccan culture, which I enjoyed very much. The students are very open to talking about their country and culture, I had a lot of great conversations! Since we mainly had to work in the evenings (from Wednesday to Friday) and a bit more on the weekends, we had a lot of free time. Harim also gives you the opportunity to join organized trips, which are very cheap and take you to the most beautiful spots in Morocco. During the trips you also have the chance to meet people from the other two schools. While I was there, he organized a trip to the south, one to the north, and one to the desert. I highly recommend joining the desert trip, it was an unforgettable experience! Thanks to this experience I really had the chance to learn a lot about Morocco, which is really hard if you just travel as a tourist. I would definitely consider coming back in the future! The only thing I want to mention is that at the uptown school there is no washing machine (which is not clearly mentioned). However, there is a place nearby where you can do your laundry for €5, so for me it was not an issue at all.

It has been a real pleasure to host Melissa. Mel grew up on a farm and it is immediately clear that she is born to run a farm herself too. She has what it takes; attitude, motivation, skills,hands-on mentality and perseverance. We could offer an introduction in how to take care of sheep and their lambs, how to plant fruit trees, how to prepare soil for planting cabbages, leek and potatoes among other things, while we learned lots about life and agriculture in Canada. We enjoyed the focussed working hours in the February sun as much as the quiet evenings filled with meaningful conversations, a glass of wine and some proper music. Welcome back, Mel! Highly recommended!!!!!

Stefanie was a wonderful volunteer and a truly valuable part of our team during her time at our hostel. From the beginning, she showed a positive attitude, responsibility, and genuine care for the space and our guests. She was reliable with her tasks, paid attention to detail. She worked independently when needed, but was also great at collaborating with the rest of the team. Her energy was calm, friendly, and professional, which made both guests and staff feel comfortable around her. We especially appreciated her initiative and willingness to help beyond what was expected. Stefanie treated the hostel with respect and care, and that makes a big difference in a hospitality environment. We are very grateful for her help and would happily recommend her to any future host. She will be an asset wherever she goes.

We are very grateful that we were able to be your first Workawayers!
From the very first moment, we felt welcome, appreciated, and truly comfortable in your home. The accommodation was wonderful: a lovely room, everything we needed, and very peacefully located – we quickly felt at home. We also really enjoyed working with you. The tasks were clearly explained, we had a lot of freedom, and we were able to work independently. At the same time, communication was open and transparent from the beginning – with clear to-do lists, shared goals, and short consultation along the way. The tasks were never overwhelming, and the working hours were flexible and more than fair! You were always open to ideas. The culinary side was definitely a highlight as well :) Cooking together, having great conversations, and enjoying our very first Swiss fondue will stay as special memories. Beyond the productive time, we truly appreciated the moments we shared: campfires, sauna sessions, game nights, and inspiring conversations. It was wonderful to be part of your vision and to see what you are building. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. We would come back anytime and wholeheartedly recommend you as hosts. Thank you for this first and especially wonderful experience on our Scandinavian trip. A&J

Preet was a really fun, lively and emotionally open person. We really admired his strength to work hard on his goals to make a living in Germany. He connected with the kids really fast and especially acted kind of as a parent role with Yordi. He was a good help around the house especially with the tons of laundry for our 6-people family. He has a Faible for cleaning cars which was really nice, thank you so much!! Also he is an amazing cook. He made an amazing Indian vegan dish for our whole family. Preet is really good at seeing the positives in life and likes to dance and party. He’s very open and likes to talk with people connect and get to know them. We wish you all the best and really really hope you’ll make it in Germany and that you’ll be able to bring your family!!! Come back and visit!!!

In 2025, Louis proved to be an absolute powerhouse of dedication during his time at the academy. Far from just "showing up," he was a vibrant, proactive presence whose commitment to excellence became the gold standard for everyone around him. Here is an expanded look at why Louis left such an indelible mark: Unrivaled Professionalism: Louis operated with a work ethic that was as relentless as it was inspiring. Whether it was meticulously planning lessons or streamlining school activities, his proactive nature meant he was always three steps ahead, anticipating needs before they even arose. A Beloved Community Pillar: It is rare to find someone who resonates so deeply with every facet of a community. The students looked up to him as a hero, the staff relied on him as a cornerstone, and his host family embraced him as one of their own. He didn't just work at the academy; he became part of its heart. Selfless Dedication: His generosity with his time was truly remarkable. Louis was frequently found putting in extra hours of teaching, driven not by obligation, but by a genuine, infectious passion for education. He never watched the clock; he only watched for opportunities to help his students grow. The Verdict: Louis is far more than a capable educator; he is a rare find. His blend of high-level competence and genuine humanity makes him a transformative asset to any program lucky enough to have him.

My experience with Judy was absolutely wonderful. From the very first moment, she made me feel welcomed and at home. She is truly an exceptional host: loving, caring, and incredibly kind. Judy always made sure I was comfortable and happy. She took such great care of me, both practically and emotionally, and was always available whenever I needed help or had a question. Her generosity and warmth made this experience even more special than I could have imagined. She is not only an amazing host but also a beautiful person. I feel very grateful to have met her and to have shared this time together. Thank you so much, Judy, for everything! I will always appreciate your kindness, see you very soon! 💛

Marc satisfied our expectations of what we needed in our volunteers. He carried all the tasks very well, finished everything on time and was very sweet with all of our cats. He was very fun to have arround! Always with a joke and enjoyed making us smile. He didn't make us croissants though, so maybe now he has to come back and we would look forward to having him come to us again!

Our 2 weeks experience here was actually really magical. From the start, we felt at home and part of their family while having a unique personal experience . Everyone there, even people visiting, is just so welcoming, open hearted and committed to the global project. We really enjoyed our time there and would recommend to anyone to live the experience. You will be staying in the most beautiful place of all Argentina, pure nature and peacefulness with magical people and really good cooks :) The work is very easy, no specific knowledge needed. The tasks are adapted depending on the needs and your personal wishes. You can have busy days if there are lots of guests or events but then, you also have days with very little working hours. China, Diego and Rio are lovely persons to share time with. They include you in each family activity : you are and feel part of their family. We really enjoyed spending time in nature with them, experiencing new things and talking hours and hours :) The food is also very important, you will spend a lot of time there and enjoy amazing food !!! We really didn’t want to leave and hope lots of volunteers will join the project because there is still a lot to do and they need help so don’t hesitate to contact them ! We would also be happy to answer any question if you have some. If you’re looking for an authentic experience with amazing people in an incredible peaceful place : you’ve found it !! Muchísimas gracias a toda la Magico familia, les extrañamos mucho y les esperamos a todos en Francia !!! <3

Sol stayed with us for one month and we are so grateful to have met her and for her assistance here. She came at a time when we were going through a major transition and how we do things here and she handled everything with grace despite some of our own internal challenges here at that time. She was a dedicated committed worker, always in wonderful, happy spirits, and a cheerful person whose lovely to be around. Any host would be blessed to have her and she will always be welcome back here.

We had a fantastic time with Titien. He came all the way from France with his beautiful motorbike, going around Spain and North Africa. Easygoing and uncomplicated, smiling, polite and ready for everything - the kids loved him. He helped us A LOT in the many jobs we had to do and he turned out to be very talented with the strimmer. A great person and a friend! Thank you so much Titien. Hope to see you again.
