I had an absolutely wonderful time staying with Stacy, David, and their three kids for almost 3 months. From the moment I arrived, they truly welcomed me as a member of their family. This was my first time experiencing homeschooling, and I was so impressed! Their life and learning are so rich and interesting. They go to the forest and many different places to learn through experience, which makes education so much fun. The kids are very proactive about learning new things. We did crochet, drawing, and crafts together, and they picked everything up so fast! I was lucky enough to spend Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year with them. Experiencing those traditions made me fall in love with their warm family atmosphere. We enjoyed movie nights, went camping together, and even went to the gym. The three children manage their schedules so well and are always helpful with household chores. During my stay, I helped with some housework, yard maintenance, cooking&baking and etc. I made some Chinese dishes for them, and we even had a fun hot pot night at home! Stacy and David are truly wonderful, kind people. They are so genuine and supportive, and I feel so lucky to have met them! One of the most amazing things is that we realized we had lived in the same place at the same time in the past without knowing each other, it felt like such a special connection! I truly hope they have the chance to visit China or meet up somewhere else in the world in the future. I am already looking forward to our next reunion!

We had a lovely experience staying at Kerryn’s beautiful home. She welcomed us into her daily life making us feel very included and comfortable. Description was very accurate, we walked beautiful Maybelle for 2 hours and did 2-3 hours of gardening, maintenance and housework. This structure allowed us plenty of free time which we were very grateful for. The other tenants were very kind as well, making sure to bring us to trivia nights on Tuesdays. Manly is a gorgeous, relaxing and peaceful place, it was wonderful walking sweet Maybelle around twice a day. Kerryn also kindly lent us her car for our personal use. Thank you, Kerryn, Helly, Irish, Maybelle, Puddy and Lulu. ♥️

I had a wonderful stay with this lovely couple in California. From the very beginning, they made me feel so welcome, just like a part of their family. One of my favorite daily activities was walking Zuma. She is such a sweet companion, and I truly enjoyed exploring the neighborhood with her, the scenery around there is beautiful. I also spent time helping in their front and back yards. The gardens are beautifully arranged and filled with charming handmade art pieces tucked away among the plants. I especially loved Marlise’s cooking and her homemade bread! You can tell she is truly a professional! Every meal was delicious, and I really enjoyed trying some Swiss dishes for the first time. They are such kind and thoughtful people who noticed and took care of me in so many small ways. I also want to thank them for introducing me to their friends and helping me meet new people. The California winter weather was perfect and made the whole experience even better. Thank you so much for your kindness and for making me feel at home. I will truly miss our time together!

Superfriendly and kind people, Always ask if I wanted or need something. Spend here two weeks and it was really nice. Thanks for your hospitality!

Our feedback is 4 months late but it is better latter than never. ;)) We had a great time! Ulrike and Peter are incredibly wonderful, caring, friendly, warm and sincere people. We remember this time with a great joy! And although the work can be physically demanding it was fun to do it, because everyone in the family was involved and you can feel like a part of it both doing the work and having lunch together. We were fed very well and food was amazing. We had our own spacious cozy room. The work schedule was very clear (free time starts after lunch) so we got a chance to explore surroundings. We came with our own car so it was easy to get enywhere we wanted. I could write the longest letter about the unforgetable ten days at Ulrike and Peter's, but the reviews from others are great and accurate too. So if you are motivated, friendly and like structure you will get along. :)) Warmest wishes to you, Ulrike, Peter thank you for all the time spent together, for the fun conversations, great travel recommendations, construction tips, work done together and delicious food! Jiří and his sweet dog Colin where here 2 weeks. Jiří is friendly, a hard worker, easy going, and just an amazing guy to find on workaway. We worked a lot on our irrigation system and we are very thankful for your help here! Colin is also so good with our dogs, and amazing duo. Wish you all the best on your travels.

Dear Brian, I had an amazing time at your beautiful Finca. What you and Wolfy have done so far to create this beautiful place filled with delicious fruits and Pinto Peanut is incredible! I am glad that I was able to contribute. You thought me lots of things, from working with bamboo, cutting the evil grass, cooking with plantain, to playing guitar again and much more. It was a unique experience, especially since you really go back to the basics and see how destructive the deforestation really is. I would recommend this place to anyone who is up for the experience!

I loved my time at Lautaros wonderful home and property. He was an excellent host with a good sense of humour and friendliness. I felt my Spanish improved during my 10 days here and there is a nice mix of different languages used day to day. Our working activities were varied from picking fruits, making jams, doing some landscaping work, and helping with housework. It would have been nice to have worked with the bees or on the building project but I understand it was the wrong season for the bees. Lautaro is happy to be flexible with choosing which hours to work. The property is right on the lake so I enjoyed my daily swims and there is also the opportunity to kayak. The walk up to volcano puntiagudo is beautiful. On one of the nights Lautaro took us to the nearby hot springs which was a great experience. I will have many happy memories from my time working here and would recommend to anyone!

Fuka stayed with us during a very rainy period, so unfortunately we couldn’t work in the garden as planned. However, she kindly helped us with tasks around the house. She was friendly, respectful, and easy to host. We also really enjoyed the Japanese meal she cooked for us. Thank you for your help and nice company. We wish you all the best!

Estoy muy agradecida por mi experiencia. Durante mis tres semanas, aprendí mucho sobre bioconstrucción, permacultura, y cultura colombiana. Anna y Arnold son personas muy lindas con buenas vibras, mucha experiencia, sabiduría, y paciencia para enseñar y compartir. Eso proyecto me da esperanza que podemos tener un relación mejor con la naturaleza. Recomendaría ese experiencia a todos y espero volver un día. Anna y Arnold, muchas muchas gracias por todo. Gedurende twee weken verbleven we als workaway-koppel bij Henk en Yael, we kijkenterug op een bijzonder waardevolle en verrijkende ervaring. Vanaf onze aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen en voelden we ons beiden onmiddelijk welkom in hun gastvrije Finca...Tijdens ons verblijf zorgden de verscheidenheid aan taken voor een aangename dynamiek. Het gaf ons de kans om op een zinvolle manier mee te werken. Daarnaast werden we mee uitgenodigd deel te nemen aan Yael haar aanschuiftafel met biezondere copieuse kookskills...deze leerrijke en aangename ontmoetingen en uitwisseling hebben ons verblijf in bijzondere mate verfiept en verrijkt. Henk bood ons vriendelijk aan om ons tijdens bepaalde wandelexcursie's op te halen, een attent en gewaardeerd gebaar. Ook waren fietsen ter beschikking met helm voorzien, om verder zelfstandig de omgeving te verkennen. De wekelijkse locale marktjes in de nabije omgeving zijn zonder meer een authentieke beleving, Spanjaarden maken gretig gebruik van hun stembanden. Hoewel we ons verblijf nog konden verlengen, hebben onvoorziene stormomstandigheden ons verblijf jammer genoeg verkort. We bewaren warme herinneringen aan deze periode ( winter) en kunnen een workaway verblijf bij Henk en Yael van harte aanbevelen. Paul en Romy.

What a lovely pair of Workawayers these two are. They ripped into the weeding/gardening with a gusto! They also kept our breadmaker busy. Andria is a fab hand at cooking & we were treated to some of her delicacies.

We absolutely loved having Janine with us for two weeks on our farm. She was a really great help with all of the work that we did, harvesting tomatoes, painting a house, gardening and so much more. She also helped a lot in our house with meal prep and washing dishes. We never needed to ask her to help, she was always proactive and ready to jump in and help where needed. She always took our dogs with her on her walks which they absolutely loved! She looked out for them and always made sure they all made their way home, which we really appreciated. Janine was really easy going and always in a great mood and easy to get along with. We had many lovely and engaging conversations; it was sometimes hard to end conversations and continue with work as we talked about so many interesting topics. Janine fit in amazingly with our farm, dogs, our way of life. We will remember fondly her time with us and hope that some day she will be back or that we meet up in some other part of the world somewhere in the future.

Qué familia tan maravillosa!!! Son personas muy amables, cariñosas y generosas, y los niños son muy divertidos:) Pasé casi un mes con ellos en diciembre de 2024 y tuve una experiencia increíble. En ese momento, lo que necesita más era cocinar y limpiar en la casa. El horario fue claro y hay mucho tiempo para disfrutar de la vida alrededor. Además, tienen una comunidad muy linda. Muy buen alojamiento. Me sentí muy bienvenida desde el primer día y guardo recuerdos hermosos del tiempo juntos. Los recomiendo mucho mucho. Yo también extraño 🤍

We spent 3 weeks volunteering on Itamaraca. We really enjoyed it - Jackie and Mark are a lovely couple and really went above and beyond to welcome us and help us with anything we needed. They gave us a tour of the island when we first arrived and gave us a lot of useful recommendations. The apartment is great, right on the beach with a pool. Perfect for a break from travelling. We spent our mornings doing a few hours of work - airing out apartments, and then either routine cleaning of some of the apartments or odd jobs like cleaning windows and painting doors. And then our afternoons were spent chilling by the pool, swimming in the sea, reading and some exploring of the island. We also got to look after their dog Bronson one weekend which was a pleasure.

Tara show her concentration in observing before to talk or react to panorama's. She take the time and not the phone to make a stupid picture. Really nice person, mature and proactive. Thank you to be an exquisite guest.

I loved every moment here, the beaches are spectacular and the locals are special people I will remember forever. Fantastic team, hugs to everyone❤️
