Description
We are Claire Horstink and Hidde Boorsma, a couple since 1996. We have raised two kids, and since they both flew out now, we like to broaden our horizons again.
We are nature lovers, interested in different (self)sustainable ways of life, and we want to delve more deeply into living with and within nature. We ourselves live in the city of Amsterdam and are playing with the idea of changing course.
Claire is working as a hair and make-up artist in dutch film industry. Therefore she is creative, social, precisely, used to hard work in different circumstances and always a helping hand . She loves gardening, cooking, animals, DIY and repairing things.
Hidde is a cinematographer (cameraman) bij profession. He grew up in the countryside where he had to help his parents with their large biodynamic garden.
In between film jobs he enjoys working as a handyman and gardener. He has a lot of positive energy, loves to challenge himself physically and likes it when something beautiful comes out of his hands. He built a beautifully insulated garden house with electricity, running water, heating and a green sedum roof. We also have a mobile home on a small plot of land where we have built an outdoor kitchen and pizza oven, and where the electricity comes from solar panels. We also have a mini fruit and vegetable garden there.
