We spent three wonderful weeks at Marie’s place and would like to thank her for a valuable experience and truly beautiful accommodation. Unfortunately, we arrived at a time when Marie was going through what was probably one of the most difficult periods of her life. For that reason, we are especially grateful that despite the situation she was always kind, welcoming, and willing to make our volunteering and our stay in the beautiful County Clare as pleasant as possible. Our work mainly consisted of cleaning two apartments that Marie rents out to guests, as well as helping with various tasks in and around her house – mostly cleaning and some painting. We stayed in a beautiful, modern, and very clean mobile home in the garden. According to the description of the offer we did not expect this, so it was a very pleasant surprise and we really enjoyed staying there. The surroundings are beautiful. About 2 km from the house is the village of Liscannor, where the regular bus line 350 runs towards Galway and Limerick. During our stay we visited Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Limerick, Ennis, Doolin, and even the Aran Islands – all accessible without having our own car. Marie was also always happy to give us a lift and kindly bought groceries for us when we needed them. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone. Marie, thank you very much for everything! We will always remember these three weeks with great appreciation. Petr & Lené

Faith is a wonderful human being and hopefully you can be as lucky as we were to have her come visit! She definitely goes above and beyond what is asked of her and she has many skills, lots we were not able to utilize. We would definitely accept her back if she ever wanted to come for another visit! Thanks again Faith, and all the best in your future endeavours! Jordon

I spend some wonderful days with Mari Cruz, Kiko, Carla and Julia. They were amazingly welcoming from the very first moment we met. Mari Cruz and Kiko were super kind and always made sure I was having a good time. Even when I got sick during my first days they took great care of me, which I really appreciate. The girls are soo sweet and fun. Julia is super cool, very capable and easy to be with. We had many laughs and I enjoyed her company a lot. Carla and I clicked from the first moment and I spend some really nice moments with her too. We also took care of a dog for one week during my stay and it was really funny. Overall the family shares a great spirit and it's always a great atmosphere in the house. I really recommend this place if you are looking for many laughs with lovely people! Thank you so much for everything and I hope to see you again💕

The time I spent with Mario in his little paradise in Malaga was...more than I could have ever asked for. I was welcomed warmly and learned a lot in such a short time, both personally and professionally. We also had great talks about diverse topics. I appreciate his open minded views on life. The time simply wasn't enough and I'm already excited for the next time we meet. Tack, tack, tack for everything. I wish you all the best ✨

"Eddy was a great volunteer and a very positive presence at the house. He is social, easy to communicate with, and quickly connected with both guests and the team. He helped improve and tidy the outdoor and communal areas, always taking initiative rather than waiting to be asked. He also supported with board preparation and was happy to share helpful advice with beginner surfers during our trip to Chicama, which guests really appreciated. Eddy brought a calm and professional energy. He even offered a yoga class to one of the guests, adding extra value to the overall experience. Reliable, proactive, and friendly, he was a real asset during his stay and is welcome back anytime."

I stayed at Paradise Ranch for about three weeks in January and had a wonderful time. Tamara and Enrique are incredibly generous people who genuinely want to share their little piece of paradise with others. The ranch itself is beautiful and peaceful, with the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. During my time there I really felt like part of the family. One thing future volunteers should know is that there are no strict working hours or fixed tasks. Instead, you make your own schedule and help with the jobs that suit you. This works really well if you are self-motivated and happy to take initiative. There is always plenty to do, including childcare, cooking and cleaning, gardening, raking, and general jobs around the ranch. If you’re unsure what needs doing, you can always ask if there is a specific task that needs help. Some people might find it a bit challenging not having a clear schedule or assigned tasks, but if you are flexible and proactive it can work really well. You’ll never get bored with David and Rosa either, they are so adventurous and full of energy! In your free time you can take the pushbike to Mar Chiquita and enjoy the beach there, or catch a bus to visit nearby towns. I often went out with Tamara when she was getting supplies (she fed me so many cookies!), and we also went to the beach club and out for a meal. Tamara is so sweet and a joy to be around. I had so much fun spending time with her and I’m happy to say I made a new friend. At the ranch, Tamara and Enrique often have friends over, especially on weekends, and Enrique makes the most amazing asado. You will definitely never go hungry if you stay here! I was lucky enough to be there for Rosa’s birthday. We had a BBQ party and Enrique cooked one of his lambs, it was incredible. Because I have a lot of riding experience, I was lucky enough to ride while I was there. I regularly exercised Enrique’s brother’s horses, and I was also incredibly grateful to get a polo lesson from Enrique, which was a fantastic experience. To sum it up, I had a great time at Paradise Ranch and would love to come back one day.

For our very first workaway experience we spent two weeks with Alina and it was wonderful. We started every morning around 9 with a relaxed breakfast together (if it was sunny and warm, we ate outside ☀️). After that, we worked from noon until sunset. We could always take breaks. There were many different tasks throughout the day, such as cutting wood for the wood-burning stove, building fences for Mabon the Shetland pony, taking care of the chickens, and cutting down invasive acacia trees. The work amount was reasonable and there was never any pressure. It was always relaxed with Alina. In the evening, Alina cooked us a delicious vegan/vegetarian dinner, always with vegetables from her or the neighbor's garden. We still miss those dinners today. We had great conversations, laughed a lot and played board games one night. We really enjoyed these cozy evenings together! Oh and most important: Maya, Yuki and Leo were the cutest. You will live in and with the surrounding nature. This means: You cook and (if necessary) heat with a wood stove, there is a compost toilet and the water comes from the mountain spring. We stayed with Alina at the beginning of February. It's usually sunny in Portugal at that time of the year, but we had some very rainy days (thanks to climate change, there were some extreme weather conditions in Portugal & Spain at the beginning of 2026). We spent the first rainy days in a house in the village of São Vicente da Beira. After three days, we moved to Alina's place and started sleeping in the bell tent. It got cold at night, but the blankets (and the hot water bottle) quickly warmed us up.

Owen is a great person and always willing to help. He stayed with me and surfed, dance, ate for four weeks, and we had a great time together from day one. He is friendly, positive, and easy to live and work with. I highly recommend him to any host! 🙂 also here is a good surfer now 🏄‍♀️ and his Spanish has improved a lot!

Annelie, was a great addition to our busy household. She was independent and needed little guidance, often asking for lists to accomplish extra tasks or if there was anything else I needed help with when her tasks were completed. She was very friendly and easy to talk to, she arrived shortly before we left for vacation but was able to care for the house and our furry family members like it was her own.

I stayed at Pablo's for a week, and it's been great! Pablo grew up in Tigre so he knows A LOT about the area. He was happy to show me around the area and took me to de Nord Delta which was great. He also taught me how to play Truco, the Argentinian card game, which was a lot of fun. The work I did in the apartments was really manageable. It mostly consisted of cleaning and painting. He explained everything clearly and I'm sure everyone can do it. Overall it's been a great experience and I'm sure I'll be back to go on the kayak trip through the delta. Thank you so much and see you soon!

I stayed at dear Amanda’s house for 24 days, and I can never fully describe the amount of kindness and love from everyone in that home. During very difficult days when my country was going through war, everyone in the house supported me and gave me hope to keep going. Our work was in social media, and honestly it was a pleasure working with the other volunteers and Ama. I really loved Amanda’s social media ideas. Thank you to my dear Amanda for our everyday conversations during coffee time,«Im already miss that» to Romy for her support, and to Kabita for all the delicious food. The house has a very calm and beautiful atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and nice. And having a gym in the house is the biggest help for keeping workout routine. I truly hope to return to Nepal soon and see you all again. 🤍🫂

From the moment Devraj arrived, he showed a positive and proactive attitude. He was extremely helpful and consistently showed initiative, often finding ways to contribute without needing to be asked. He adapted quickly to looking after our dogs and they were happy. His work in the garden was so thorough. He genuinely cared about being helpful. It was clear that he is a thoughtful and considerate person. He treated the wooden house with respect and left it very clean. Having Devraj here was truly a pleasure as his easy going nature made a big difference. We would happily welcome him back.

Rasmus, a gem of a person that has left such a strong impression and impact in our lives after his stay of 2 months from the beginning of January 2026 - March 2026. To us, he is our family member now. He is a very humble person, lovely to speak with, always willing to help and went above and beyond in taking care of our house whenever he could. We never had to ask him to do anything and he would have already done it. Our little kid thoroughly enjoyed his company and he definitely learnt so many things from him. He is good at everything he does and we highly recommend him for anyone looking for a guest that will dive deep into that project, we wish him well and a bright future. We cannot wait to invite him again to come stay with us.

Abrazo gigante!
