    Description

We are looking for skilled social media marketers and video editors who can stay with us for a month or longer if possible. There's so much going on all around the world, we are happy to do our part to take care of our neighbors wherever you come from. Whether you are in a country where many people are living as refugees, or maybe your country is involved in a war, we'll keep you with us as long as we can. I'm American but don't have a problem with Jews, Islam, Russians or any other Earthling. Of course I wish the very best for the Palestinian, Lebanon and Ukrainian people. What are people from Lebanon called?

We take our volunteers to explore the Kathmandu Valley as often as we can. We really want you to get the most out of Nepal. We just ask for 3 hours a day of help. You'll have a great time. We'll feed you 3 meals a day if you are here at the house, either Western or Nepalese traditional food. You won't need to pay for food or the bed while you are at home and you'll have a nice room to stay in. Fruit is very expensive so we seldom have much fruit, so if you are a big fruit eater you can purchase some for yourself. Additionally, we have a very serious water problem here in the Kathmandu Valley.

We are in need of videographers, editors, content writers, and help to get our video channels more coverage.

What kind of work do we need help with? We need help mostly with social media marketing and video shooting and editing.

We never have our volunteers do work that a local person could do. In fact, if you’d like to mentor a local Nepali so he/she could learn better computer skills or marketing skills that would be awesome.

Our goals are to enrich your experiences in Nepal and help enrich this beautiful country in some way. Nepal is a favorite of so many visitors; we hope you will choose to make Nepal your next destination. It's so peaceful and safe for even old ladies like me to travel to, yet full of adventures.

Our rules for the home: Write down what you do each day and the time you spent working.
When in the kitchen please wash your hands before touching anything that others might touch. Do not lick things that are not on your own dish. Eat only your share. For example, if we make 20 waffles for breakfast and there are 10 people to eat, please only take 2. It's embarrassing for me to ask such things. For many young people in the West, they get so used to abundance that they forget just about everything is hand-made here and while rice and lentils are pretty cheap, things like pasta and condiments are sometimes very expensive.

We provide excellent food, Nepalese or western. We do not provide snacks or fruit, just 3 meals per day and coffee and tea. Sometimes guests help themselves to what's in the refrigerator and then when we are ready to make something all the milk or eggs, or whatever is gone and we need to go to the store before cooking. It's actually fine, but let me or our cook know so we can get more. We have a very relaxing home, so it's easy for guests to become a bit too cozy. Basically, if I could do it in your home as a guest you are welcome to do it here. If you make a mistake don't worry; it's all good.

Our volunteers learn their own value and the power they have to create change. We've hosted volunteers who helped rebuild Nepal after the earthquakes of 2015 and other things things throughout the years. Most of all, you will learn what an amazing country Nepal is. You'll fall in love with this little, Himalayan country. For volunteers who stay with us for an extended time we often reward our volunteers with an all or partially paid trip outside the Kathmandu Valley during their stay with us.

We are in need of people with basic computer skills like social media posting and help with fundraising. Most young people have the skills needed for this, but we have a few programs that the volunteer can learn, as well. For example, we have the Doodly platform so a person could produce a cartoon, or explainer video with less than an hour of study and use it for content to post. We need creative people who can take the initiative. We also need volunteers who love the planet and want to help the environment. If this sounds like you we will be happy to host you.

We have CapCut paid version and several AI programs.

There is a lot to discover in Kathmandu. There are trekking routes that surround the Valley and 8 world UNESCCO sites to explore. Nepal is amazing. Dollar for dollar, Nepal offers the most value, beauty, safety, and adventure of any budget country on the planet. We thank you for your interest in helping Nepal.
