Description

Hi, my name is Annelie.
I´ve just finished my M.Sc. biology and now I want to go on a new adventure. I found my love for exploring when spending my vacation traveling through South Africa with my parents.
When I was a kid, we spent many holidays in an alpin cabin with dairy cows and I loved helping out there. I´m not afraid of getting my hands dirty and am comfortable around large animals. My favorite pastime is horseback riding. I´ve visited the stables at least three days a week since I was five.
I have a big family that I see regularly and love very much. I also enjoy being creative in any way. I like to photograph and have been doing that as a side hustle while studying.
I'd be well up for helping out at an animal rescue centre, or on a farm or stable. But I am also open to other settings I have less experience with. I´m a fast learner and would like to broaden my horizon.

More details about my language interests
I´ve had lessons in Spanish when I was in school and while I´m currently not able to recall most of that knowledge, I would like to start learning again. Should anyone be interested I´d also be willing to try and teach you my mother language, German.

Tutoring:
I´ve just finished my masters degree in biology focusing on genetics and biomedicine. I´ve also alwasy been very good at math, and believe I could tutor someone in those subjects.

Gardening:
My father has a big garden I occasionally help out in, so while I´m not an expert, I´m confident I could help out in that area.

Animal care/Farm work:
As a horse girl, I´m used to the usual stable tasks. I´ve also absolved several workshops by Andrea Kutsch to further my knowledge about training horses, especially young ones.
I love working with animals in general. While vacationing on a alpine cottage as a kid, I learned some things about handling cows and how to milk them. I myself have a cat, but I'm compfortable around well-behaved dogs as well.

DIY projects:
I also enjoy tasks such as decorating and painting and have recently spend a lot of time furnishing and redesigning my new flat. My dad and I have also spend time crafting things out of wood, so I think I might not be inept at working with my hands.

What else ...

Besides horseback riding and photography, I like to spend my free time reading - mostly fantasy.
Every once in a while I sketch, paint or make jewellery. I also used to dance a lot, mostly with a partner (Waltz, Jive, Tango and such).
In the winter I like to go alpine skiing. Around christmas time, I enjoy baking cookies.
