Hannes hat zwei Monate bei mir auf Hitra gewohnt. In dieser Zeit hat er mich sehr beeindruckt. Obwohl er erst 20 Jahre alt ist, arbeitet er äußerst selbstständig und wirkt sehr erfahren. Er ist handwerklich äußerst geschickt und benötigt keinerlei Einweisung im Umgang mit Werkzeug – er erkennt sofort, was zu tun ist, und setzt es direkt um. Während seines Aufenthalts haben wir an vielen unterschiedlichen Aufgaben gearbeitet, unter anderem an umfangreichen Baumfällarbeiten, der Planierung des Geländes am Bootshaus, der Fertigstellung des Wintergartens, Malerarbeiten sowie dem Bau einer Treppe im Bienenstand. Unabhängig von der Aufgabe arbeitete Hannes stets effizient, sorgfältig und mit hoher Arbeitsmoral. Er ist zuverlässig, unkompliziert und sehr angenehm in der Zusammenarbeit. Die Zusammenarbeit war sowohl fachlich als auch menschlich hervorragend. Ich kann Hannes uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und stehe gerne als Referenz zur Verfügung.

We had such a wonderful time with Leena, Georges and Flora in Feraxi and can warmly recommend this host family to you! Leena and Georges are very open and warm-hearted people. We enjoyed a truly fantastic cultural exchange as they were not only very committed to showing us Sardinian culture and cuisine but also the Lebanese culture from their homeland. They were also always very interested in our way of life, and we had many exciting conversations. So it was a real exchange. Baby Flora is an absolutely adorable little sunshine, and as workawayers, we were able to spend a lot of time with her, but it isn't expected if you don't feel like. The house and the property are very charming and offer a variety of tasks depending on what you feel like and what you want to contribute. Feraxi and the surrounding area are beautiful! The region has stunning beaches and is a true paradise for hiking. We enjoyed being at the beach every day, swimming (yes, even in December and January), and discovering all the great hiking trails. Leena and Georges showed us so much around and introduced us to other people in the area. After 10 days together, we spent another month without them in their house, continuing to take care of our tasks during that time. We are so grateful to them for their trust, and it was a wonderful reunion before we continued on our journey. We definitely do not want to miss meeting these wonderful people in our lives and are already looking forward to seeing each other again!

Julika und Jef haben im November (brrrrr) zwei Wochen lang in meinem Garten allerlei Liegengebliebenes abgearbeitet. Da der November eigentlich außerhalb meiner Workaway-Monate liegt und ich viel Büroarbeit hatte, haben die beiden selbständig gearbeitet. Die Absprachen haben sehr gut funktioniert, weil Julika immer sofort nachgefragt hat, wenn ich mich unklar ausgedrückt habe. Einkaufen, kochen und das allgemeine Miteinander waren sehr entspannt und auch das Management mit den Hunden war unkompliziert. Die Wohnung haben die zwei tip topp hinterlassen. Julika and Jef stayed with me for two weeks in November (brrr!) and took care of a variety of garden tasks that had been waiting to be done. As November is actually outside my usual Workaway season and I had a lot of office work to do, they worked very independently. Communication worked extremely well, as Julika always asked for clarification right away whenever something was unclear. Shopping, cooking, and everyday life together were very relaxed, and managing things with the dogs was easy and uncomplicated. They also left the apartment in perfect condition.

Zak is a warm, intelligent, well-travelled, courteous, discreet and kind young man. He was with us for 3 months and has a lovely presence and is open to learning. He helped with a number of tasks in our home and on our land including general help on our land - including light pruning of the olive trees, helping us pick olives as well as painting and other work as needed. Zak likes to cook which was something my husband and I both appreciated and he was always respectful of our space and very easy-going. We wish Zak all the best in his future experiences and will hope to see him again in the not too distant future!

Dear Anya and Ant, Having you with us for around 1.5 months without a doubt was one of our most positive and heart-warming Workaway experiences. From the very beginning, you were so attentive, mindful and present. Always seeing what needed to be done, where help was required, and simply took care of things as if it were the most natural thing in the world. You found such beautiful ways to contribute to our home! Through your delicious meals, Anya’s legendary baking, and new ideas for processing what grows here. You integrated wonderfully into our home and the wider community, quickly understanding what matters to us in how we live and adapting with so much care and respect. Your motivation to learn, grow, and at the same time share your knowledge and magic was deeply inspiring. The dedication you gave to this place felt as if it were your own. We felt supported and appreciated in every way, not only as hosts, but also as human beings. You have a very special place in our hearts and will always be welcome here. Marija and Thibault welcomed us last minute in their small paradise. We felt quickly at home. The place is a very human guest house with a warm atmosphere. During our stay we encounter beautiful people travelers, locals, expats mixing together at sunset time. We came as volunteers and we left as friends. If you like beautiful sunset on the beach and meeting new people the work will feel very light. We wish them to stay young, wild and free!

Martina, es una chica muy inteligente y que habla muchos idiomas. Ella es tranquila y sin complicaciones, nos ayudo en la recolección de pasto para comida de nuestros cuyes. Además fuimos a una laguna no muy conocida en el Parque Nacional que ella disfrutó mucho. También cuido mucho a nuestras mascotas Virginia y Valentina

It was an amazing stay with Mustafa and his family :) It was early winter during my stay, so my work mainly involved regular farm maintenance, such as digging the land and cutting branches for the stove. Still, I really enjoyed the agricultural experience there. Besides the work, Mustafa gave me many great opportunities, such as making bread, starting a fire, and exploring the city. He has already welcomed many Workawayers, so he really knows how to spend time together in a good way. Even though he is still improving his language skills, we were truly able to share our feelings thanks to his kind character. I could always be myself — very relaxed, with lots of laughs and interesting conversations. Ayşe and her mother are amazing chefs, and I got to try so many traditional Turkish dishes. I definitely want to come back someday and highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in experiencing Turkish life in the beautiful countryside. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Wir haben zu zweit (+ Hündin) zwei schöne Wochen bei Maren verbracht. Maren wohnt in einem Haus am Dorfrand, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Wald und tollen Felsen. Vormittags haben wir selbständig gearbeitet (sehr vielfältige unterschiedliche Tätigkeiten im Garten) und die Nachmittage hatten wir frei um die Gegend zu erkunden. Maren ist sehr aufgeschlossen und herzlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Essen, Kochen, Einkauf etc. wurde unkompliziert abgesprochen. I.d.R. haben wir mittags und abends gemeinsam gegessen. Ab Haus gibt es tolle Spaziergänge in alle Richtungen! Austausch über Permakultur und Gärtnern hatten wir mit Maren wenig, was auch daran lag, dass unser Hauptinteresse war, die Gegend zu erkunden als möglichen Wohnort. Maren gab uns i.d.R. morgens nach dem Frühstück (um 9 Uhr) die Aufgaben für den jeweiligen Vormittag, die wir dann anschließend selbständig abarbeiteten. Die Stimmung war schön, entspannt und wohlwollend.

Eme, her son, and her neighbours are all very kind and welcoming. She has so many experiences to welcome travellers, so she really knows how to make guests feel comfortable. I stayed for about 10 days. Even though I arrived during her busiest time, I truly appreciated everything she did to help me explore the area and enjoy local food in nearby cities. In the meantime, we were able to drive to nearby towns, historical sites, and the beach. She kindly let me share food from the fridge for all three meals, and we also went out to eat together sometimes. I had a private and spacious room, which she had recently renovated herself. I spent most of my time with her baby — he was incredibly sweet and adorable. She mentioned that usually Workawayers can also learn and help with renovation work or sewing clothes. I’m really looking forward to seeing her new project completed and watching her son grow up in the future!! Thank you so much for having me :)

This place and people welcomed me like family❤️ Lau (and Agus) are amazing, reliable, relaxed and natural hosts. We laughed a lot but also had meaningful conversations. I did the tasks with a lot of joy. It was a pleasure to contribute to this place in a lot of various ways like doing the check ins, cleaning, gardening, cooking, painting and playing with lovely Moka (dog) on the beach. Beside the shifts I spent a lot of time with the team. We went swimming, climbing, surfing, making music or watching a movie in the evening. During this volunteer I also get to experience the Argentine culture, which was great. Incredibly grateful for this experience, hasta pronto!

Rafael was an excellent guest and volunteer. He is a very kind, calm, and sociable young man, always respectful and easy to live with. Throughout his stay, he showed a great willingness to help, always collaborating with enthusiasm, good energy, and a very positive attitude. As a volunteer, he was responsible, proactive, and genuinely interested in contributing in the best way possible. His help was truly valuable, and his presence made the experience very pleasant and smooth. He integrated well into daily activities and always maintained a positive and cooperative spirit. Rafael’s visit was a great support for us, and we truly appreciated having him as part of our project. Without a doubt, he is highly recommended as both a guest and a volunteer, and we would be very happy to host him again in the future.

Daisi is truly a very generous, kind, and incredible person. We shared unforgettable moments with her, and she was always very committed to helping the children, caring for them and being attentive at all times. We also shared very special experiences together, such as playing volleyball with the children’s mothers for the first time, moments that brought us great happiness as a community. We are deeply grateful for her love, dedication, and affection toward the children. We highly recommend her profile, as she is a wonderful, responsible person with a big heart. Daisi will always be welcome with us. Thank you for everything. 🤍🤍❤️

Romina is very easy to communicate with. She did good work although got sick in the december darkness.

Had a really great time staying here while teaching yoga. The place is nice and located right in front of the beach. I was teaching yoga classes twice daily morning and afternoon and in the remaining time helping out with different tasks as needed. There isn’t a very structured schedule, which I appreciated, as it allowed me to live days with flexibility and contribute wherever support was most useful at the time.

Juliana did her work very well and more than requested. Christmas season was crazy. Juliana takes responsibility and is a kind person. Communication was easy also with her. Highly recommended worker.

Hemos pasado tres veces al templo, no cómo voluntarios porque había todavía otras personas,pero pagando un poco para dormida y comida. El templo no está como un hostel, es un lugar único, tranquilo, donde Bambi y Gauri hacen todo para ayudar así que no sentimos como a casa. Gracias!!! Es también un lugar donde hemos encontrado otros viajeros, el momento del almuerzo y de la cena todos juntos es un momento especial, donde todos pueden hablar y compartir historias de viaje, de vida... Un lugar hermoso y único !! Gracias Bambi y Gauri !

It was a wonderful experience having you in our family for a while. You brought positivity, joy, and a desire to make the most of your stay in Rome, absorbing its culture and customs. Thank you for spending some time with us; through you, we also gained a bit of understanding of French culture. Hope to catch up again!

Hemos pasado dos semanas a la fundación y estuvo una experiencia increíble. El trabajo es muy bien organizado, y Martín es siempre disponible para ayudar y explicar. No había niños en la fundación porque estaban de vacaciones pero hemos trabajado con los árboles, la huerta, el reciclaje, la cocina. Gracias Martín por compartir todo eso que sabes su los árboles. La experiencia en la fundación es increíble también porque hay siempre muchos voluntarios y Martín organiza muchas actividades, y así se cree una convivencia hermosa con gente de todos los países. Gracias a Martín por esa experiencia!!!
