I did 2 weeks of working away with Kris & James. They are working on a very unique vision that I was happy to be a part of. Them two made my stay tremendously comfortable through providing my own private space, excellent food made by chef Kris, a dog that wants to play 24/7, a very helpful and supporting spirit as well as deep chats while enjoying a cold beer. Connecting with the guests was also part of the experience that I really enjoyed. Kris & James are specific about what they expect but very easy about how things are handled. Also joy is always a part of everyday‘s work and life. They bring a lot of enthusiasm to the table about what they stand and work for which I find very inspiring. I can only recommend anybody who is interested to work with them two! MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS Kris and James :)

Amie and Pablo are excellent volunteers, they did a great job at the shelter and always did their part at the volunteer house despite the ocassionally challenging situation with many different volunteers living together. Our long-term volunteers really enjoyed their company and we all appreciate the level of commitment and responsibility they showed.

It was amazing to do the volunteer at this small city, the first day I arrived this center the kids were trying to teach me Arabic lettres, which is Lovely,I felt I was warmly welcomed! Thank you also for give me the chance to do workshop for sharing Chinese culture! They were all unforgettable memories! I will start saying that I've planned to stay in this boarding school for 5 weeks and I ended up staying for nearly 3 months; after the first couple of weeks I felt I was already creating a family here. There is plenty of space for the volunteers to do evening activities and this is really up to you; students are usually very happy to do something fun and new. I had the chance to partecipate to many different activities/classes, such ceramic, music, arts, cooking and different sports. There are many different themed weeks going on at the school and volunteers are welcome to participate; my favorite period was probably during Christmast time where I had the chance to taste traditional food and enjoying the singing and crafting. The workawayers house is great and fully furnished; teachers and kitchen staff is very welcoming and happy to help if needed. The food is abundante and helthy; and you are also very welcome to cook something typical from your country to the students. It was a great experience to me and I surely reccomend this host to people that want to fully immerse in Danish school system and culture. Tusind tak, vi ses!

I had a really great time with Adam and Anna. They are a very easy-going and kind couple. They love life and even if they are very different, they fit together perfectly. Their simple and self-sufficient lifestyle really inspired me. During the first week in Opinogóra, we did different jobs: breaking a wall near Adam’s studio and organizing the space (full of his beautiful paintings!). With Anna, I helped packing dried herbs for herbal teas and sometimes taking care of the goats. In the second week, Adam, Mindi and I moved to their other house in Kielce, where the work was more physical: plastering and sanding walls and fixing the floor joints. It was hard work, but very satisfying to see the final result. I also cooked Italian food 🇮🇹🍝 for them, and I was very happy that they liked it a lot! Adam is an artist in every way: creative, positive, funny and full of stories. You never get bored with him, especially when he talks about his bacteria! He talks about them so much that he finally convinced me to buy them 😄. He also let me try all the alcohol he produces himself — one better than the other. I was really fascinated and completely captured by his passion and knowledge. Anna is calmer and more reserved, but even if my English was not perfect, we communicated very well. She shared many stories about past volunteers and she is also a very good cook. A special mention to Franek, their 16-year-old son: polite, kind and always ready to help his parents. We worked about 5 hours a day, always respected, and Adam was very careful not to work more than agreed. The rest of the day was free. This was my first Workaway experience, and I couldn’t ask for a better one. Thanks also to Mindi, my great adventure partner. I really recommend this experience to everyone who likes simple living, manual work, good conversations, good food… and maybe bacteria and homemade alcohol too 😄 Grazie and Na zdrowie! 🥂

I had an incredible experience working at the shelter for about three weeks. I had a great time working with the dogs and living at the fort (even in the rainy season!). I learned a lot about what it takes to run a large, successful dog rescue. The staff were patient and knowledgeable as I worked with and learned about the numerous dogs. I already miss my dog friends Joey, Forza, Juanito, and Alf. There are lots of great biking and running trails near the shelter, and so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy your off time.

This was my first Workaway experience, so I was nervous at the beginning. However, thanks to everyone’s kindness, I was able to spend a wonderful and enjoyable month here. This place is located in a quiet area that sometimes feels a little isolated from the town, but there is a beautiful lake nearby where you can relax and enjoy peaceful time. Staying here was truly amazing. During my stay, I helped with painting walls, cleaning, and making beds. I was happy to experience many things for the first time, which became a wonderful and unexpected bonus for me. Most importantly, I met a very special person here, and I believe that this encounter was truly valuable and meaningful. I am very grateful for this experience, and I would love to come back again someday. Thank you so much for everything.

Mia stayed with us for a month over Christmas and it was an absolute pleasure hosting her. She was always fun company and the kids loved her and still miss her to this day actually. She did all the house tasks that we asked for and her reading pace was an inspiration to us. Thanks for the socks. Best of wishes to you in all your future adventures Mia. Hugs from Iceland.

lovely place and Powerful family♡ friendly husky's as well. I stayed exactly month. but I never got bored because of great nature and variety of experiences that they gave me. it was more than enough period to know Finish culture . My favorite food was Muikku and Makaronilaatikko. I had most of my meals alone. so, I will recommend stay for 2 people for share happy♡ My highlight was dancing while seeing spectacular northern Lights for keep out the cold .lol it's actually northern lights were also dancing ,literally!! The aurora was amazing, privately viewed in the silent forest. I feel like I've seen enough northern lights to last a lifetime. also, workawayer might have a chance to read a book from the mobile library. the book of MOOMIN was so Finland and made me warm♡

I am delighted to recommend Angie for her outstanding volunteer work here. During her time with us she was a constant source of energy, care, and skill — especially in our gardens and with the horses. Not only did she help around the Hacienda but was also very amicable to the changes we threw at her like moving her from her dorm since we needed the space. I would love to have Angel visit us again and maybe if things don't work out in London, she can be an environmental lawyer here in Mexico!

First, the pictures are accurate - you do actually see the flatirons RIGHT there. A lot of hosts post a picture of the mountains and you arrive and not a mountain in sight. The accommodations are upstairs with stunning views. Joel is fabulous. He is kind, patient and a good listener. He has a super mellow demeanor, but he will definitely put you to work. He has several varied jobs and will work with your skill set. It was really fun and I would recommend this host to anyone. It's a paradise with a great vibe. I would show up with a cup of coffee, another workaway had hers. We would all chat together and have fun, then get to work. I carried garage panels, worked on the start of a shed and did my best to level a rock walkway. I wasn't very good at it so I felt a bit bad but Joel was positive and didn't make me feel inadequate, which was super appreciated. I loved the experience, it built up my confidence and made me look forward to my days there. I loved loved loved it.

Having Linda was our first experience using workaway and we couldn't have been happier with it. From the start Linda got along with the family and the kids loved playing with her. She was organized and did the tasks at hand very well. We wish her all the best in her future adventures, hugs from Iceland <3

My experience here was amazing. The place is beautiful, full of nature and wonderful animals, and very close to the sea. It is a peaceful and special area, and I really enjoyed living there every day. A big thank you to Valerie and Yves for everything. They are kind, friendly, and welcoming people. Thanks to them I had many great adventures. Sailing and going fishing, especially, are experiences I will never forget and will stay with me forever. This was not only a Workaway, but a real life experience. I am very grateful for this time and I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much ❤️

I just come back from Saint Harris school in Moshi where i spend almost 3 weeks Was an amaizing experience ! I feel very lucky to had the opportunity to live this As soon as i arrived i was welcomed by Véronica, took me home and did her best to make me feel good. The house is very confortable, with your own ,bedroom, internet now, just 2 mn walk from the school which is very convenient and safe. I met then Salvatory, and with Véronica they are putting all their energy and love to give éducation and affection to the kids All the team, teachers, the cook were very friendly and make me feel part of the team to help them with the children, to participate to day life , teaching, playing, giving food, organise time to rest. The kids are amaizing, so curious and give a lot of love, At the begining i was alone, then arrived an other volonteer, was very nice to be together and share also time off This is my first experience workaway and i feel very lucky to had the opportunity to be with so wounderful people I learned also like cultural exchange They invest all for the kids,i wish them the success they diserve for the future! They are beautiful people with such a big hart I like to keep in touch, i miss them already, Thank you for this wounderful time together!!!

Maya was an extra ordinary workawayer. Gentle, intelligent, and thorough. Was a pleasure having her here, she brought her sewing skills to the table and busted out a ton of curtains for us. She's a great cook too! Don't hesitate to bring her on board!
