Highly recommend!! Work with AHAH in Jhunga was such a great experience. Everything was well organised and professional, atmosphere at base and during the work lovely and welcoming. It was great way to get to know local culture as well thanks to the help of Nepali staff members and different opportunities of getting in contact with local village community. Dhal Bhat was perfect. I have spent 1,5 month and already miss this place <33

I had a great experience staying with Carole and David on their amazing land. They have a deep commitment to the land and strong sense of community. Conversations were always fun and interesting! Nature is truly being honored and cared for. Even though I couldn't stay that long I hope to meet them again in the future and see how the nature will be thriving. Many thanks!

Ikue and Keisuke lived with my family in 3-5th Mar. 2026 to make their dream in reality. We was proud to meet their best preparation on their Mongolian short holiday trip, so my help was "what is your question?". Now they are personal bowl ambassadors and traditional (best solution) knowledge divers.

My stay with Murphy was a truly lovely experience. She is an incredibly kind and welcoming person who accepted my last-minute request to stay and even came to pick me up from the station, which immediately made me feel comfortable and cared for. Her residence is a beautiful 18th-century house located in a peaceful setting, with a charming church nearby that adds to the character of the place. During my stay, there were three other Workawayers as well, and the atmosphere among us was very collaborative, relaxed, and friendly. The tasks were simple and well organized, which made working together enjoyable. One of the highlights was cooking together in the evenings. We took turns preparing dinner and enjoyed experimenting with different recipes from our various backgrounds. Murphy prepared breakfast and lunch for us, and the meals were always delicious. It was also a wonderful opportunity to try different specialties. Our main daily task involved working in the garden. We helped prepare the soil, dig and clean different areas where needed, and eventually plant and care for small plants. Working together as a team, we managed the tasks very well, especially with Murphy’s supportive guidance and clear instructions. Many evenings we went for walks in the nearby forest, which was a beautiful way to relax after the day’s work. Those moments were also a great opportunity for everyone to spend time together, share stories, and get to know each other better. Overall, it was a peaceful, collaborative, and enriching experience. I’m grateful to Murphy for her kindness and hospitality and would happily recommend this stay to future Workawayers.

I had a great experience staying with Sienna. She was very welcoming, generous and made every effort to make me feel at home. We shared meals and conversations, went for walks and visited her gorgeous grandparents. I also enjoyed working on Sienna's project with her and hope to hear of her adventures in the future. Sisteron is beautiful, even in winter. There are lots of nature walks with incredible views. The town is friendly and very quaint, with a nice Saturday market.

I didn’t complete a full Workaway with Mr. Ba, but I had the chance to meet him and spend some time there, and it was a very positive experience. He is a very kind and caring person. I hope he can find some IT volunteers to help improve his business website, as well as some staff to assist with the tour boats. I would definitely recommend this Workaway experience.

Hello dear reader I want to share my expirience in The finja of Maria and Hannes. I stayed for around 2 week in a beutifull, cozy caravan I had a really grouthfull and transformative stay, I want to start by mentioning that I loved the energy there, you are high in the mountains and in the finja you will feel at peace or anything that you have to face inside, you will do so. It’s just the energy in there The comunity is really kind and peaceful. In the beginning it was a litle hard for me to adapt as it was everything new, but once you pass the first week you start feeling at home, and really safe. My only recommendation would be if there was more personal connection and individual approach. personally for me I needed in the beginning more explanation which I didn’t fully get even though after that, I understood everything I needed and more information of the weeks plan and tasks. That’s what I wanted to share A thing I really enjoyed is a raw vegan party in the other finja Of Maria in Nerja it was magical. Other night also made bon fire at night with Michelle and Jonny and the other workawayers The work is really not hard and for me it was more fun especially cooking for lunch with Maria, I learned many vegan recipes from her, by looking what she prepares. What we ate? There is a beutifull kitchen filled with so much organic and vegan ingridients, we ate healthy and simple vegan dishes and mostly 60% raw. For breakfast I loved Jonny’s cacao recipe and hemp milk ! it become something I looked forward for my next morning and got exited about (thank you Jonny!)🦋🥰 About the internet: there is a litle caravan where you have access to wife (but only there) wich really helped me be less on my phone and conect more with the present They were really flexible and there was a day I didint feel okay and we found a way to meet both of our needs and rearrange working hours 🙏🏻❤️ Also I would like to say something more about Maria: She is like a mother to all, I didint feel any expectaions from here, but pure acceptance and jenerosity, I felt I wanted to give her what I can and help because she is truly an amazing soul, that has helped many in need and me also, thank you so much Maria! We didint have much time together but your aura was felt and the love too, beyond what words can say. And onother thing to be aware is that the place is really uphill and on your everyday you will have to walk allot up and down from the toilet to the kitchen for example, so better you are fisically fit, even if I was I still found myself tired every time, hahaha, but it was a good workout Also expect constant guests and different people coming, it’s really intresting to meet them and learn new things!🥰 About the caravan where I slept my suggestion is to bring warm clothes for the night as it gets really cold, otherwise they also gave me a hot water bag to heat myself at night. Thank you so much for everything!💕🙏🏻✨🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 If you are a workawayer and would like to hear more of my stay at Maria’s finca I am open to share more, message me!😊💗☮️

Mein is a young, curious, and attentive learner. In the beginning she was a little hesitant as it was her first volunteering experience, but she quickly found her rhythm and became confident and creative with her work in the garden. She also generously offered yoga classes for us and the fellow volunteers during her stay. She is a beautiful person with a warm presence, and it was lovely having her with us.

Every now and then you meet people who you immediately feel connected and loved by. This happend to me at Manga and Prajeeth’s farm. I made friends for life with them, and I’m sure were gonna meet again. They are so loving and passionate. Manga taught us everything about the medicinal plants and also Prajeeth can teach you everything about sustainability. I overal just made fun during the little projects like painting . Really a place i would recommend 😊 love you Manga and Prajeeth! Till we meet again ❤️

Daniela and her environment are wonderful!! I loved being with them; they are very kind, cheerful people, and they have a very nice energy. Daniela has always been asking about me and caring for me. I lacked nothing and had a wonderful stay. They treated me amazingly and made me feel like one of them. If you want to have a fun experience and make a change, they will help and advise you. I’m sure that someday I will come back!

I spent four days with Mirjam and her family. I enjoyed my time in Oosterhout very much. My highlights were the dinner with Mirjam’s friends, the deer watching with the kids and my project, painting the kitchen cupboards. Mirjam is very empathetic which did me a lot of good when I was not in good health one day of my stay. It was nice to spend time with the family and talk about traveling. Thanks again to Sophia for letting me stay in her room. 😊

Flora was a gentle, caring and experienced workawayer to have on the farm! Her love for animals was clear, especially with our cat and donkey. Her experience with ponies was very useful for the work she did with the donkey, we are very grateful for that. She was open and willing to do new tasks, such as painting, and continued even despite it being physically challenging to do for a while. She was determined to finish tasks and organised herself in a very good way. An honest and good communicator, she also listened very well and was thoughtful when it came to discussions about different cultures. Even though she's gentle, it was so cool to see that she stands up for important causes and handled unexpected situations impressively (Luke and Otto attacking each other, wow). Flora was very sweet with my grandma, despite language barriers, she was able to share tenderness, which was appreciated. Flora got along very well with the other workawayer and it was always so nice to see them hanging out and doing tasks together, I really felt I could count on them both. A great team. I really hope you come back on the farm one day and thank you for all your contributions! :)

Nikki was a positive, curious and intelligent workawayer who was not afraid to try out new things and was able to pick up new tasks. As her first workaway experience, and first experience working on a farm, she adapted very quickly to everything. I was impressed! She communicated well and made funny jokes. She was calm and respectful during her free time, and always asked me how I was doing and how my tasks were going. A "yes woman" she would say yes to any suggested activities, which made it fun to do together with the other workawayer and myself. She got along well with the other workawayer and it was so lovely to see that they traveled together, and could do activities outside of the farm together. Nikki was very eager to learn Darija and I could see her practising and asking questions to learn new words, so lovely! She bonded closely with the animals, especially with our dog Otto, who seemed to become a bit obsessed with her by the end of her stay. Nikki stayed very flexible and open, a great skill as a workawayer. The workbook she and the other workawayer created for the farm was truly creative and heartwarming. You left us with a great memory. I hope you come back to the farm one day!

Volunteering at Cheng was so much fun ! It was not always easy - especially during Chinese New Year with so many dogs around - it definitely helps to improve your patience 🙏 The communication and the tasks were clear and Cheng is very flexible if you are! She also welcomed me to eat with her family during the CNY and drove me around twice, which I really appreciated. I really miss my walks with Maya and Chocolate and my dinner date with Maya 💔 Thank you so much for everything and do not hesitate to volunteer in her lovely home. Marie

We spent 10 days with Francesco, his two dogs, and also some days with Giuseppe in the beautiful countryside of Castello. We were lucky enough to work on several interesting projects, from gardening to building a pond and even doing some woodworking. But what we really appreciated were the nice conversations with Francesco about topics we share, such as agroecological projects, our place in society, and much more. We also loved Giuseppe's cheerful company; we had a lot of laughs despite the language barrier (thanks again for the carbonara and the genepi!). We wanted to say thank you again to you and to your lovely family for your unforgettable hospitality, and we wish you success and joy with your project. See you soon! Pierre and Eli

Spent 3 months helping Asthor with the apartment as well as having a job in the town. It was a nice time. Asthor has a HUGE movie collection and on free time it's possible to watch anything you want. You don't have to worry about anything, Ashtor is ready to help if there's anything you need or if some trouble. As there was not too much work to do with cleaning or other stuff, there's quite some free time so it's nice to walk around the town (there's a mountain just next to Asthor's house) or just do you. Also Asthor can drive you to nearby locations like some waterfalls with his big Tesla car and take a picture of you and Aurora Borealis or the moon as well:) If you're a chatter be prapred to have A LOOOT of chats about anything and everything 😁
