Thank you Sebastian!! We loved hosting him in our cabin and our school. He's been amazing help during his stay, always ready for any tasks proposed to him on the spot. Sebastian is very independent and and easy to be around and he has great energy with children. He is a great communicator and was very easy to coordinate logistics with him. Our cabin was left organized and cleaned upon departure.

We stayed with Srdjan, Nasim, and their lovely children Mila and Milan for one week and had a wonderful experience. They made us feel very welcome from the start. We helped with some tasks like chopping wood and digging the pool, and we also enjoyed going out with them to visit friends, explore the village, and visit a monastery. It was a great mix of work and fun in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you for everything, we really enjoyed our unforgettable stay!

I stayed at Grit's house for 2 weeks and spent a lovely time with all the little family! Melvin and Grit made me feel at home, I had my own bedroom and could go on walks or in town thanks to Grit, who always drove me or found a way to drop me somewhere when I felt the need! The company of the cats and the dog was really nice too, always a pleasure to pet them when I came back from chopping wood or gardening! I definitely recommend the stay! Thanks again Grit! ​"Puck stayed with us for two weeks and truly felt like a member of our family. She bonded with everyone instantly and shared our daily lives with such kindness. Beyond being a great companion, she was incredibly helpful with the teaching at our school and worked very hard alongside us. She is a very independent, sporty person with a great love for surfing. She even generously treated our family to dinner at a restaurant one evening! We were so sad to see her go and highly recommend her to any host."

This was our first workaway experience, and we couldn't have asked for more! Geoffrey, Iris, Chiara, and Joyce are a wonderful family, always kind and helpful. During these two weeks, we learned a lot about permaculture, principles of ecobuilding and managing a large green space. We also learned tons of recipes, because they're also excellent cooks! Also we have really appreciated Ardèche, with his beautiful natural spaces. Thank you so much for your hospitality; it was truly a pleasure. We hope to see you again in the future :)

I had a pleasant week with Tatjana. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about the local trees and wildlife, and recommending beautiful walks around the countryside. ​"Celina stayed with us for 8 days and was an excellent fit for our school. As a highly experienced teacher, she brought a wealth of knowledge to our English classes. Beyond her teaching skills, she is a natural entertainer who kept the students fully engaged. Despite being middle-aged, her energy was remarkable—she was incredibly active and loved playing educational games with the students. She worked hard at our private center and was very easygoing, never making a single complaint. We wish her every success in her future travels!"

Yvonne is a lovely person, always ready to help. I had the opportunity to spend a day at Yvonne's house doing some small jobs. She's very active, enjoys walking, etc. The house is very pretty with a lovely garden. Yvonne is a very good cook. I have very fond memories of my day at Yvonne's. I highly recommend her.

We had a truly warm and meaningful experience staying with Madhu and Sampada. From the very beginning, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for—they create a special kind of atmosphere that makes you feel at home in a very natural way. A special highlight were their two dogs and their cat, who added so much warmth and joy to the whole experience. What we especially appreciated was the clear and fair communication of working hours and tasks. Everything is well-organized, and there is a good balance between contributing and having time to rest or explore. The work itself offers beautiful insights into ecological farming and everyday rural life. It feels very real and grounded, and you become part of the rhythm of the place. At the same time, there is a wonderful opportunity to connect with and be gently integrated into village life, which made the experience even more special for us. The volunteer accommodation is simple and quite basic, so it’s helpful to come with an open mind and a certain level of flexibility. At the same time, this simplicity is part of the experience and allows you to connect more deeply with the surroundings and the lifestyle. Sharing meals and spending time together with people from different backgrounds creates a lovely space for connection, exchange, and many memorable conversations. Overall, this is a place with heart. We would especially recommend it to those who are looking for an authentic experience, are open to simplicity, and enjoy being part of a more local and mindful way of living. Raymond and Maria stayed here for a week and it was a delight. It's always nice to have experienced people around and Raymond and Maria were no exception. Totally trustworthy and capable of working independently. They advised and assisted us on many issues. From soldering, to the use of right materials, to best practices on carrying wood, to tasting authentic rösti, to interesting conversations about having a meaningful life. It was a pleasure to have you here. All the best with your endeavors. May we meet again.

Having Theresa here has been an absolute pleasure. She is always in a good mood, she is open minded, solar, very independent. She completed very well all the things I asked her for, she mostly worked in the garden and painted. Her dog is also very sweet and never created any problem at all. I definitely recommend her, Theresa will bring a beautiful energy wherever she goes.

Where to begin! I spent just over two weeks with Julianne, James, and the kids and we were already discussing a return visit just a few days in! Responsibilities and expectations were very clearly laid out with a good balance of time to yourself to do your own thing – I did some half day trips to Killarney, Cork city, and surrounds – but most nights I'd just end up sticking around downstairs for chats or to hang out with the kids! I was working on my dissertation at the time and a separate (gorgeous) workspace was available for use whenever I needed it as well, which was super appreciated. My days otherwise mostly consisted of house chores and minding Imogen, Teddy, and Jasper (ex. morning and off to school routine; minding them when home sick; making snacks and meals; homework help, etc.), all of whom were so sweet and spirited in their own ways. The house and grounds are stunning and full of history, and getting the chance to spend some time in Julianne's studio was so inspiring as well. Overall such a lovely family with great energy <3

I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be a Workawayer with Ruta and they family. I looked after the house and their dog, Berta, while the family was on vacation. I experienced Copenhagen, learned more Danish, and spent quality time with my son, who is studying there. This opportunity inspired me to open my own home as a host for other Workawayers. This amazing family has an open mind and a warm heart. I also met Sara from Italy, who was very nice. I hope to see you all again and warmly welcome you to Norway. Kind regards, Åse 🫶

We were staying at this beautiful place for one month in january and it was a really nice time with this lovely family. It is a place we want to come back some time. We were able to implement or own ideas because we were trusted a lot. That was important for us, because it felt like home. We had so nice pizza and pasta nights with the hole family, other volunteers and a lot of realy good Prosecco. However the Prosecco played a slightly bigger role than we personally expected. We got the chance to use the car to drive around to see the environment. We could always decide what we want to do, eat or help. In the end we had a wonderful time and felt always welcome. I had a wonderful time with Vincenzo and Chiara! It was my first proper Workaway experience and it was perfect for that! The work is very relaxed; as I was there in winter/spring, it mainly involved feeding the animals and mucking out the paddock. Every now and then, I helped out with other odd jobs around the farm. The animals are all absolutely adorable and I miss them already. The little cat Selva, in particular, is very friendly and loves to sleep in the Workawayers’ bed. She's the cutest and I even got to experience her giving birth. The caravan is very cosy and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. You just should know that it can get quite cold in the winter, but Vincenzo and Chiara provided me with gas heating for that. The supermarket and a few bars and restaurants are within walking distance, but Vincenzo and Chiara also provided me with a bike, which I could use to cycle into the centre of Trepuzzi in just a few minutes. Lecce is just around the corner – a really beautiful city that’s easy to visit for a day trip. Vincenzo and Chiara are extremely kind and hospitable! They cooked some delicious meals for me on several occasions and gave me a lift to the beach. Vincenzo taught me about Italian culture, the Salento dialect and wild plants. All in all, I had a wonderful time and would recommend this Workaway to anyone, especially if you’re looking to unwind and spend more time in nature. Thank you so much for the nice time and I hope we’ll see each other again soon!

Kimberly came to originally spend a couple of weeks with us and to our greatest delight, ended up extending her stay as we all found a lot of equilibrium in each other's company and helping hands. From her calmness and sensitivity with our animals and us humans, to her mindful approach to solving problems, her wise personnality just brought the perfect balance in our busy sometimes chaotic Ranch life. And surely, all the wonderful drone footage she took are adding to the great memories of our time together. Thanking her warmly and wishing her more great workaway experience !
