  Description

  We have a space where you can enjoy a fantasy landscape in the territory of the overflowing water star of the Farallones de Cali. Located in the Meléndez River basin in the Villacarmelo district, just 30 minutes from urban Cali. Volunteering is a space for learning through cultural activism and environmental education, reconnecting with nature, and protecting the basin (we don't protect the mountain, we are the mountain protecting itself). We work for food sovereignty based on a regenerative agriculture concept, developing typical farm tasks: planting, cultural work, harvesting and post-harvest, processed foods, proper waste management, composting and bio-input production, gardening, green building, cleaning, organization, and cooking.
  Contamos con un espacio donde puedes disfrutar de un paisaje de fantasía en el territorio de la desbordante estrella de agua de los Farallones de Cali. En la cuenca del río Meléndez en el corregimiento de Villacarmelo, a solo 30 minutos de la zona urbana de Cali. El voluntariado es un espacio de aprendizaje a través del activismo por la cultura y la educación ambiental, la reconexión con la naturaleza y la protección de la cuenca (no protegemos la montaña, somos la montaña protegiéndose a sí misma). Trabajamos por la soberanía alimentaria en un concepto de agricultura regenerativa, desarrollando tareas típicas de la finca: siembra, labores culturales, cosecha y postcosecha, alimentos procesados, gestión adecuada de residuos, compostaje y producción de bioinsumos, jardinería, bioconstrucción, limpieza, organización y cocina.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  This is a meeting place for different people with diverse sexual, cultural, religious and other orientations. Respect is our common practice through communication. We love the exchange of culture and knowledge. Este es un espacio de encuentro de diferentes personas con diversidad orientaciones sexuales, culturales, religiosas y demás.   Help

  There are 5 hours of work per day where you will have to help with permaculture activities, planting or harvesting food, gardening, cleaning, organization, construction and bioconstruction (the hours do not include food preparation time, unless the function is cooking). The work days are especially the weekends since we have a lot of work. You can choose your day off here from Monday to Friday. You can arrange with your mentor to do overtime and have more time at any time and on any day since all this is very flexible.
  Son 5 horas de labores al día donde deberás ayudar con actividades de permacultura, siembra o cosecha de alimentos, trabajos de jardinería, aseo, organización, construcción y bioconstrucción (dentro de las horas no se incluye el tiempo de preparación de alimentos, excepto que la función sea cocina). Los días de trabajo son especialmente los fines de semana ya que tenemos mucho trabajo. Su día de descanso aquí lo puede elegir de lunes a viernes. Puedes concertar con tu mentor para hacer horas extra y tener más tiempo en cualquier horario y cualquier día ya que todo esto es muy flexible.

  Accommodation

  We offer cabins with double beds for volunteers, we also have a room with bunk beds which would also be used in a shared manner. As for food, there are rotating shifts in the kitchen to prepare the food which comes in all options (omnivore, vegetarian or vegan).
  Ofrecemos cabañas con cama doble para el voluntario, también tenemos una habitación con literas y habitación con camas dobles la cual se usaría también de manera compartida. En cuanto a la alimentación, se hacen turnos rotativos en cocina para preparar los alimentos los cuales vienen en todas las opciones (omnivoro, vegetariano o vegano).
