Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are deep in rural quebec, so we live a french canadian way of life. We produce maple syrup in the spring, so we can show you all about that, we also like sharing the quebec culture.
Our helpers live in the same house as us and we share meals and leisure time, so it's a great opportunity to exchange and learn about each other. You will have your own space to relax and decompress as well.Projects involving children

Help
We are fluent in both french and English, our first language is french and our children are learning english, but don't really speak it yet.
We are a young family living on a 60 acres farm in the eastern townships ( estrie) about 90 minutes outside of Montreal. We have 2 young kids 18months and 3 years. We have a few animals, goats, chickens, cats and a bunch of wild animals.
I sometimes travel for work for a week or so and we are lookig for someone to come and help out around the house and with taking care of the farm a little bit. A typical day would look like this : get upmaround 8 am, help with preparing the kids for daycare, a bit of clean up after they have left. After breakfast you would go feed the goats and the chickens, pick up the eggs and bring them into the house. Then you can take some time for yourself to go walk around the forest, do some yoga or read in the living room. Afternoon do 1 load of washing and cleaning clothes, mostly cute childrens' clothes and a special task like putting up a shelf, or building an ikea article or something like that. Then the kids would come back from daycare, we would feed and bathe them together, put them to sleep around 7:30 and the rest of the evening is yours.
Weekends are a little more hands on, we would go out with the kids and play outside instead of bringing them to daycare.Languages spoken
English: Fluent
Accommodation
you have a private room in a separate part of the house, this means that when you need a quiet break with no noise you will be able to have it, you also have your own bathroom with a shower and a beautiful view
What else ...
we have a very good internet connection. we are about 5km away from a very large snowmobile factory so the town has everything that we might need and it's 5 minutes away. We can pick you up in Montreal or at a bus stop not too far from where we are. We also often have an extra car so you can go on adventures and be mobile on your own.
