Description
Our project is a recent low budget private school to provide the best possible education to one of the most beautiful, remote & abandoned part of Assam in North East India.
The school was started in 2017 by 3 brothers who grew up in Dimow, a small village in Assam.
For better education they were send away from home to a private boarding school, by their illiterate parents since they were 5. This changed their life and today they want to give back.
They built a new affordable school with the help of their family and friends in the same place they grew up in, as most people in Dimow can not afford to send their kids to a boarding school. Now after two years, the school has 300 kids from Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade - smart and ever ready to learn.
They want to improve the education system by hosting volunteers from all over the world to inspire the kids and create workshops of any kind to open their minds to curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This in a unique opportunity to get to know the real life in Assam and neighboring Arunachal Pradesh, India and the reality of a small and remote village. The kids are very eager to learn new things and the volunteers will benefit from that with their gratitude. Personally this is a very rewarding place to volunteer in as kids and even villagers have almost never been confronted with people outside their village or even Assam. Every single volunteer can make a big change here.

Our School will provide accommodation in authentic bamboo huts and will provide 2 meals a day as well as tea, drinking water and outdoor shower facilities. It’s all very basic but a great opportunity to see how people live here and connect with nature.
What else ...
In their time off the volunteers can do activities like hiking in the lush nature around this area, swim in natural rivers or go for walks in the paddy fields and see true and authentic farmers at work with ancient techniques.
They can meet people of various communities with different traditional dresses, totally different languages, different culture all living so simple and happy life.
Apart from the well know assamese tea, they can have a taste of the different kinds of local rice beers or go for numerous festivals in this region of Assam.
Furthermore, Majuli, the biggest river Island is just around 100 km away and not to forget about Kaziranga National Park - famous for its one horned rhino which is around 350 km away.
In beautiful Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh) (around 70 km from Dimow) there is one of the best & the largest rafting sites in India.
All the North Eastern states of India have s a unique identity, never ending stories - rich & abundant for travellers, writers, photographers, painters, adventure lovers, musicians etc etc etc.
Assam is located between Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myanmar and can therefore be a good spot to travel to those areas as well.A little more information
