Description
Hello everyone, we are a family who loves to be in contact with foreigners. They always bring new knowledge and interesting things to know about. We are living on Mallorca in a beautiful restored countryside house. We need a hand with the kids as we want them to practice both English and German.
We are a family of 4: Tobi, Maria and two children aged 10 and 7.
We would love to host a person who can just share his/her experiences with us, help the kids practice English and/or German and give a hand cleaning the house and maybe doing some gardening, too. We love to spend time with our workawayers and take them with us everywhere we go or to do whatever is on the plan, so that they are part of the family. Having someone in the room connected to the internet all day and barely seeing him/her is not a cool exchange for us.
Our workawayer will have no fix timetable... Help can be done either morning or afternoon, depending on the volunteer wishes and on the everyday situation... and it will not be any longer than 5 hours a day.

I am a Mallorcan woman married to a German. Our traditions and ways of doing things are pretty much Mallorcan, although if a traditional person comes he/she may say the opposite.
Our home is ideal for learning about/from nature. It's located near a little village and it has wonderful surroundings. It's just a 15 minutes drive to the sea. Town with all you may need is also nearby.

Help
Help will mainly consist of playing with kids speaking English or German, this is the most important for us right now. So our workawayer needs to speak either English or German fluently. Our kids are being raised with 4 languages. And we'd really love our workawayer to be able to give us a hand with this. Some tasks like cleaning the house will also be on the to-do list.

Accommodation
It is a countryside house, surrounded by small plots (Mallorca's countryside). It is a rustic style house. You will get your own bedroom and probably bathroom, too! If you like music, our home is a great place to be as we have a piano, a drum set, guitars and an electric bass.
Mallorca is mostly known for its night clubs and parties near the capital, but it's actually a lot more than that. It has an amazing coast all around and an extremly tradicional unspoilt inland landscape... Being with locals is by far the best way to get to know this magical island.
What else ...
There are a lot of options to do when off, e.g. coast line visit, countryside walk/bike, mountain range (Serra de Tramuntana) visit, city sightseeing...
We have a bicycle that can be borrowed. Transport is a bit of a problem as connections and timetables are pretty bad. The best thing would be to have a scooter or even a car to move around. . . we would have to talk about it...
