    Description

I very recently bought a 3.6 acre property in a small town in Andalucia to turn into an Eco-Campsite. I am still in the earliest phase of the project where the plans of the architect have only just been presented at town hall.

In preparation there are a lot of things that can already be done where I would love some help with including clearing the property of bushes and burning what we clear.

This place is perfect for those who want to fully disconnect as I live fully off grid. This means no regular streaming water or electricity. I use a generator for my electricity and buy water in the supermarket for drinking and showering which I do with a camping shower.

There is a pond at the bottom of the property, The water is quite clean though I have not yet tried to get un due to the cold temperatures.

For those travelling with dogs I do not allow the dogs inside the caravan due to excessive mud, mostly in winter and the caravan gets dirty fast this way. If you come with your own transport and a dog there is no problem as long as our dogs get along :)

I myself have volunteered a few times over the years in different countries and really enjoyed those experiences. Now that I have my own property I would like to offer this for others.

Mainly in summer there are quite a lot of events going on in the area and as stated it is known for its hiking areas. I am at a 5 min drive from the mines of Rio Tinto and a 20 drive from a nature reserve with animals called La Reserva. Sevilla is about 1.5 hours distance by car and about 2 hours by bus. There is a bus in and out of town once a day from Sevilla and once a day from Huelva.

I am a terrible driver so will not be able to pick anyone up in Sevilla but I will definitely be able to pick someone up from El Campillo or Minas de Rio Tinto.

As stated I myself stay in a shipping container but I also have a fully functioning caravan available for a volunteer. This is the only place with a stove so we would have to cook in the caravan.

As I do not have the building licence yet the main things to do relate to clearing the land. There are also fun projects we could do like make benches from palets or scrapwood found in town. I would love to get some Eco projects started. I also have a second caravan I am fully renovating.

I consider myself quite an independent person but like to work with others on projects as I feel it helps me stay motivated and consistent.

I speak Spanish, English and Dutch so if you would like to learn any of these languages I will be happy to practice with you.

I would be looking for people who enjoy living off grid and being immersed in nature. I expect workawayers to do at least 3 hours of work per day, 5 days in the week. If you want to work more that is fine of course.

The caravan available to a volunteer has a bed, a small bathroom area with a compost toilet and a small sitting area.

The tent colapsed due to the recent storms so has been taken down, I keep getting an error in deleting the picture so I have added photos that show what it looks like now.

The gas stove is in the caravan so thats where we will cook. I tend to eat a larger meal for lunch and a small meal for dinner which is quite typical in Spain.

As Spanish law requires workawayers to earn a basic wage, meals will not be included.
