Description
We are a Spanish family living in Valdeganga, a quiet village near Albacete, in Castilla-La Mancha. At home, we are home to my husband, our two children (Martín and Elsa), and myself, María José.
We love spending time as a family, going out with friends, cooking, making plans with friends, and chatting. We live in a comfortable house in a very small town and enjoy welcoming people who are eager to share their language, culture, and worldview.
We are looking for a cheerful, responsible, English-speaking person who wants to spend the afternoons with the children, speaking English naturally, through games, reading, or simple activities. Adults would also like to practice English in a relaxed way, while cooking, eating, or just chatting.
We like everyone who comes to feel like part of the family, with their own space and free time to do their own thing. We love cultural exchange and believe it is a wonderful way to learn from each other.
Somos una familia española que vive en Valdeganga, un pueblo tranquilo cerca de Albacete, en Castilla-La Mancha. En casa somos mi marido, nuestros dos hijos (Martín y Elsa) y yo, María José.
Nos encanta disfrutar del tiempo en familia, salir con amigos, cocinar, hacer planes con amigos y charlar. Vivimos en una casa cómoda en un pueblo muy pequeño y nos gusta recibir gente que tenga ganas de compartir su idioma, su cultura y su forma de ver el mundo.
Buscamos a una persona de habla inglesa, alegre y responsable, que quiera pasar las tardes con los niños hablándoles en inglés de manera natural, a través de juegos, lectura o actividades sencillas. También nos gustaría practicar inglés los adultos, de forma relajada, mientras cocinamos, comemos o simplemente charlamos.
Nos gusta que quien venga se sienta parte de la familia, con su propio espacio y tiempo libre para hacer sus cosas. Nos encanta el intercambio cultural y creemos que es una forma preciosa de aprender unos de otros.

Those who come to our home will be able to live like a member of a Spanish family, learn about our customs, our way of life, and, of course, our food.
You'll be able to practice Spanish every day in a natural way, without classes, simply by talking and sharing time with us. We'll teach you expressions, recipes, and interesting facts about our region, and you'll be able to tell us about your country, your language, and your culture.
In the village, life is peaceful and the people are very friendly, so you'll have the opportunity to experience what real life is like in a La Mancha village, far from mass tourism.

En el pueblo la vida es tranquila y la gente es muy amable, así que tendrás la oportunidad de ver cómo se vive realmente en un pueblo manchego, lejos del turismo masivo.

Normalmente la ayuda sería unas 4 o 5 horas al día, de lunes a viernes, y los fines de semana libres para descansar o hacer planes.
Accommodation
We live in a comfortable, family-friendly house in Valdeganga, a quiet and safe village about 20 minutes from Albacete. Guests will have their own room, with a bed, closet, and storage space. The house has several bathrooms (which we all use), a living room where we spend a lot of time, a fully equipped kitchen, and a patio. We offer homemade meals every day and we like guests to feel at home. There are very basic shops in the village, but we travel to Albacete daily for work and school, so buying anything is no problem. There are also buses to Albacete, if you want to spend the day or go on an excursion. We like guests to feel part of the family, but also have their own space and free time to do whatever they want.
Vivimos en una casa cómoda y familiar en Valdeganga, un pueblo tranquilo y seguro a unos 20 minutos de Albacete.
La persona que venga tendrá su habitación propia, con cama, armario y sitio para guardar sus cosas. En casa hay varios baños (que usamos todos), un salón donde pasamos bastante tiempo, cocina equipada y un patio.
Ofrecemos comida casera todos los días y nos gusta que quien venga se sienta como en casa.
En el pueblo hay tiendas muy básicas pero vamos a Albacete a diario a trabajar y estudiar, por lo tanto no hay problema en adquirir cualquier cosa. También hay autobuses a Albacete, por si quieres ir a pasar el día o hacer alguna excursión.
Nos gusta que la persona que venga se sienta parte de la familia, pero también tenga su propio espacio y tiempo libre para hacer lo que le apetezca.
