Description
Jill and Martin (children grown up and left home) ( also work part time in Nelson) run a small farm .
We have a dozen pet sheep, a house cow for milk a few cattle and chickens.
All the creeks and a small lake are planted out and we need help trimming trees and with weed control. Also we have a small QE2 Trust Native tree block which needs some weed control and track clearing.
Jobs previous Workaways or Helpxs , have done are: scrub clearing, tree planting, tree potting / propagating, building storage shed , soft landscaping (planting, weeding, tending to vegetable garden), painting, , cleaning the home. Picking fruit and potatoes.
We prepare and eat together , plenty of fresh food from garden , but we enjoy workaways cooking too.
We have all required tools for the job so we will be able to make the most of whatever skill set you have.
We have a large studio room with ensuite for visiting workaways.
Any time of the year we could find some help for you to do. The lovely Motueka river is 100 meters from the house, great for swimming in the summer, but there is plenty of firewood to keep warm in the winter nights. We have a small hot tub/spa to relax after a busy day.
We are 50km from Nelson town.
