We are a young couple with a dream to create a self sufficient eco horse and animal sactuary. We are now a registered charity
We want to rehabilitate as many horses as possible and offer eco holidays on our farm in a cave house or a mongolian yurt to fund the charity. Our passion is to rescue all the animals (so far. Pigs, dogs, cats, tortoises, Guinea pigs, rabbits, hedgehogs, chickens, goats, horses) we can.
We are passionate about sustainability as well, EVERYTHING is built from scrap and waste material. We eat "freegan" as all of our food comes from supermarket and farm waste. We are also on solar and our water systems are all sustainable too.

The fantastic all round weather of Tenerife, stay on a horse farm with fantastic views of the sea and the mountains. only 5 minutes from the sea. Be surrounded by rescue animals, nature and peace. The area is very quiet other than our big finca family, no tourists, great for walking, hiking and climbing, scuba diving/ snorkeling and horse riding
Help us to build up our fully sustainable horse and animal sanctuary. The project is pretty new, so lots of tasks to do, you don't need to be experienced with horses, we have roles for everyone.
Unfortunately we can't take everyone, even if we would like to. currently we have 25, many who have been here 2 years and many end up staying for 6 months. So we are limited who we can take.
Take a read and see what could suit you...
🏵️currently we have space for the roles listed bellow from the middle of may🏵️
* a cook. Someone who can cook basic food for all the 25 volunteers at break time, simple breakfast and a lunch for the team. Keep on top of the kitchen and food donations, manage food and cook what needs cooking first etc.
* space for someone to drive and collect the food donations and then Sort out food donations. Must be over 25 with a driving license for the role ( insurance reasons) Must be ok with some lifting, and can get messy sometimes.
* guys who enjoy physically hard work, building stone walls ( no experience required, can learn here) digging rock, moving rocks. Hard labor in the sun but with a great team.
*We also ALWAYS need handymen. With any basic skills/passion for: building, laboring, cob, mechanical, engineering, working with solar, plumbing, any building skills.
* Very particular horse role available soon. Experienced horse person with a passion for positive horsemanship. ( positive reinforcement training not essential, but open minded and passion is) to work the weekends. Feed, pick up poo, pick out feet and keep an eye on the horses over the weekend. You would only need to work 2 days a week. But 2 full days. This role is very important so must be someone responsible who loves horses. Must be able to stay for at least 3 months. Can be a permanent role for the right person ( as plenty of time off to have another job which is what the previous girl did for 3 years here)
Please note we are on the island of tenerife, not mainland Spain even though the map suggest we are there.
everywhere and anywhere, caravan, tent or unfinished cave house, cave, wooden hut, on the farm, you must be flexible with accommodation to stay here, as it in community living and very rustic with animals everwhere. Currently we have 25 people many of which have been here over a year, they have made themselves their own bedroom from a cave, this way we can fit more and more people. We have fantastic views and environment. We are like a big family so it has never been a problem so far. 😉😅
We are in a great location for buses. Only a few minutes to walk to the beach, some chances we can take the horses out riding . Always places to see in tenerife and the weather is always great

we have many digital nomads. We have wifi available in some of the finca with a "internet cafe" which is actually inside the horse block.
