    Description

Me: Hello, I'm Fanny, almost 30 years old. I'm a nature and animal lover and i like learning news skills and do very different stuff with my two hands.

Where do I live? I live in the beautiful region of Lorraine in France. I don't have the ocean here but i do live surrounded by lakes and forest. We aren't in the Alpes either but we do have the Vosges Moutains near by with beautiful landscapes where you can hike in summer and ski in winter.

What else about the region ? THE FOOD ! Delicious you'll have to come and try to believe it. The big city near by is NANCY, (15/20 minutes driving) where you can find all you can find in big cities, but also the most beautiful place in Europe : Place stanislas (we are very proud of it here, you can google it if you want to have a look ).

The field: I live on a field with my two dogs, my cat and also 3 gooses. It was my father that moved here 30 years ago and build everything from scratch. He made it with what he had and build a little house for him, a cabin for storage, a big garage, he used a container for animal shelter etc.. He was autonomous and made the land the same (or almost). When i moved with him 10 years ago, we renovated a mobil-home (big trailer) for me to live in.
Unfortunately, the mayor of the town have now a project for this land and I have one year to deconstruct everything to move to another land near by that we bought last year with my father. There is a lot to do over there too.

I've always wanted to become a workaway host after travelling and using workaway as a worker. I've thougt about doing it when I will be in the other land but the thing is, my father passed away few month ago and i find myself quite lonely with a lot to do in a short time. (deconstruct here, construct there )

I've moved to my father house and so the mobil-home i've been living in is now empty, ready to welcome you.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

About the everyday life we will be living : Having help for my project is the main point but also, as i said in the description i'm feeling kind of lonely since my dad passed away. The thing is, i'm comfortable with that and i love being by myself with no one to rush me. But I stopped travelling few years ago to take care of my dad and now i can't go travel because I have those beautiful project. So having people from around the world at my place will allow me to travel without moving. I love learning new languages, new recipe, new way of doing stuff ... I miss that so much from the time i've travelled. And I want to meet new people, share my lifestyle with them, learn about their's, their culture, laught, eat with them ! I'm really easygoing and ready to have new adventures.
Here, we can go walk in forest or around the lake, go see some friends, or family ( my brother live near by) ride bikes, go in the city, start paintings, gardening or whatever.

I have to precise that even if it's seems like i really need compagny ahah, as I said, I also love being alone and so, we will have moments to share, and other moments where you will be on your own to do what you want.

  • Help

    Help

The kind of help : It can be a bit of everything (except looking over kids cause i don't have any ahah).
The goal is to deconstruct what i have here and if you feel so, give me a hand to set up the other land.

The idea is to help me with my strange everyday life, no rush, no pressure, very flexible about the work to do. The only thing i'm looking for is someone that really WANT to help, share time and skills in a happy and relaxed atmosphere.

It's a place where you are free to devellop your own ideas for the project. Depend on the mood you are in, but as an exchange, i'm looking forward to discuss new ideas, and let you do the things you want to do. It can be link with any ideas you'll have and want to experiment. If you have particular skills and you want to start something that make sense for you, you're more than welcome to do so.

Basically, some of the help I can ask for is, arrangement and deconstruction, taking care of the dogs and experiment ideas you'll have in mind.

In the roulotte there are :
A living room with a huge sofa in "U" shape.
A kitchen with gaz to cook, sink, and fridge (to be fixed, but i have one in my place otherwise) and kitchen utensil.
    A bedroom with a 2 places bed.
Toilets but no shower ( there is one in my place ).
A terrasse / patio with roof.

For the food, I will provide the basics you need for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the week. You can go shop around to buy what you need on the week-ends or if you want to add something during the week. We can eat and cook dinner together 3/4 times a week and make some special recipes. Otherwise, you will have everything you need to cook in the roulotte.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I'm really flexible about the working times and the help, if you want for example to have few days off because you're planning a little trip away (Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Paris, Alpes, Netherland .... ) it's totally ok and we can organize work depend on that.
