    Description

***My husband was recently involved in a snowmobile accident. I am needing assistance at our farm with daily farm animal feeding, cleaning the house, laundry, meals and help with our children here and there. We are needing someone as soon as possible. Please read below for our profile information.***

My wife and I live on 16 acres just outside of Okotoks AB with our two children. We built a house and started the Farm 6 years ago. We have pigs, horses, chickens and cows. We have started a Haskap orchard that currently has 4000 plants. I am looking for a workaway who is interested for a placement of up to two weeks. More time can be discussed if needed.

Accommodation is our spare room in our house with a bathroom next to it. We provide all meals, though extra snacks may have to be purchased on your own. Our diet (especially during summer) consists heavily of food produced on our farm including grass fed beef, pork and eggs. Bedding, towels, are provided. We will share a kitchen, washer and dryer. There is a separate living area (couches, TV, dining area) in the loft you are free to use.

Both my wife and I work and are away from home for a large part of the day, so volunteers should be comfortable on their own. We are always back for dinner to have as a family.

We are very outgoing people and love hiking, camping and boating on weekends. We often travel to our property on the Arrow Lakes in BC to spend weekends. We are always open to taking people to experience new things.
