  Description

  We are a family living on a colourful, sustainable, semi-rural property in the heart of the "Rainbow Region" of northern NSW.
  
  We are a mum Anya, dad Shey, 5yr old son, living in a big colourful building we call the "Art Barn" and enjoy gardening and being outdoors, spending time with our friends and community and doing many creative projects including performing live music and kids entertainment!
  
  We live on a beautiful property with access to a creek full of crystals, beautiful bamboo forest and waterfall/swimming hole.
  
  The area we live in has an amazing alternative scene, and our local village is the famous Hippy village of Nimbin.
  
  We also have some cute pets, our cat Dave, dog Yindi and a few rabbits!

  We are very active in our local community, attending regular markets, gatherings and parties for kids and adults. Our local village of Nimbin is a popular tourist destination and has many classes and workshops around wellness, sustainability and alternative lifestyles.
  
  We are musicians, artists and love to create a beautiful, happy home, we have many skills and interests to share. And we love a good game of Rummy Cub!
  
  We love to learn about other cultures, language, food and customs. We have travelled to many places in the world and love to experience new things!

  Help

  Domestic Duties - We would love help around the home, cleaning, cooking (this is a big one for us!!) and gardening. We love to eat from the garden and all the fruite trees! Our last workaway friend made yummy bamboo shoots from our bamboo forest.
  
  DIY Building - We always have a building project happening somewhere on the property, so extra hands are always welcome. Happy to teach how to use tools and build.
  
  Child Care - Our 5 yr old is very social and outgoing! He will be very interested in getting to know you and you will have to be comfortable around young energetic kids!
  
  We will share our skills and experience around the home and in the gardens, we have many years of building and gardening experience and love to share knowledge.

  Accommodation

  You will have a private caravan with power. It has a small seating area and queen sized bed. Its cute and very comfortable!!
  
  You will share our kitchen, bathroom and living areas in the main house. (50m away)
  
  We will have a sit down family meal for dinner each evening.
  We expect our guest to help with the cooking and cleaning up after.
  Food will be provided for other meals and you can help yourself as you need.
  
  We hope to have help cooking healthy, fresh meals and that we can share a sit down dinner each evening with other meals of the day being more casual.

  What else ...

  We live on a rural road so public transport is very limited, you will need to have your own car or organise transport with us when you contact us.
  
  We are an alternative household and enjoy living a life close to nature. Our home is surrounded by forest and we encounter critters and insects regularly. (Snakes, spiders, goanas, echidnas, wallabies) We have a cute and comfortable semi-outdoor composting toilet attached to the house, we are on tank water and are eco conscious.
