Description
Workaway Opportunity in Our Unschooling Community
Hi there,
We are a life-loving, family-oriented, unschooling community located in the south of Funen, Denmark. Here, we live with the natural cycles, recognizing that learning is an (inevitable) lifelong journey, and we are eager to experience life to the fullest.
This is our second year welcoming workawayers, and we are excited to continue this cultural exchange and collaboration. We invite independent and skilled individuals to join us on our land and contribute to our growing community.
What We Are Looking For
You are an individual, a couple, or a group traveling together. You are passionate about handcrafts, nature, practical work, and community living. Maybe you have heard about unschooling and want to experience our way of life?
You are 18 years or older, healthy, responsible, and capable of working independently once given instructions. You take initiative, have experience in relevant tasks, and can complete work without supervision.
If you have experience in any of these areas and enjoy working independently, we’d love to hear from you!
For now, we do not accept families for work exchange.
Who We Are
Our community is fairly young, with a few years under our wings. We are based on an old farm with small individual houses spread across the property, surrounded by forests, open areas, lakes, and fun infrastructure.
We are a group of 25 people, ranging from 0 to 60 years old, with many children among us. We strive to live in freedom and integrity, balancing our individual lives and families with our community as a whole. We also organize events for ourselves, our friends, and the general public.
Work Hours & Meals
We expect a work commitment of 4 hours per day, 4 days a week, usually on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Regarding meals:
• Ingredients are provided for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch every day.
• Dinner is served on all weekdays.
This setup provides both structure and flexibility, allowing you to enjoy the place while being part of the community.
Your Application
When applying, please mention which tasks you would like to contribute to from the list above. If you have relevant skills or experience, be sure to highlight them! This helps us ensure a good match and a fulfilling experience for both you and the community.
You will be linked with a contact person during your stay, and we sometimes have several workawayers at the same time—so even if you arrive alone, you may find yourself among fellow travelers.
We look forward to connecting and learning more about you!Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
For your stay, you will be linked with a contact person who will be your go-to during your stay.
We might have several workawayers at the same time, so even if you come alone, you might be introduced to more travelers.
There is a natural flow of socialization, as we are a nice group with various interests and passions. At the same time, we want to specify that our visitors must be self going and initiate contact themselves when they want to be social.
During your stay, you are of course most welcome to participate in any events we have going on. For example sweatlodge and other ceremonies.Help

It was a lovely, very quiet stay.
The food arrangement was such that I would get dinner with the different families, on rotation, and have some ingredients/supplies to make my other meals.
The amount of work was more than fair, with 3 days off.
I felt very confortable in my accommodation,… read more
