    Description

We’re a Catalan family living in a tiny mountain village called L’Albiol, surrounded by forest and located right in the middle of a natural park, at 830 meters above sea level, with sea views. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place, and we’re lucky to be in one of the best-known areas for rock climbing: Siurana, Margalef, Arbolí, and La Mussara are just around the corner.

We are two passionate woodworkers and artisans, raising two wonderful kids: Bruna (9) and Guillem (8). We enjoy a simple, nature-connected life, and love hiking, climbing, and attending cultural events.

We’re trying to balance three core projects in our life: A family project based on love, simplicity, and respect; A work project based on craftsmanship, creativity, and passion for traditional woodworking; And a personal life project grounded in happiness and coherence. Like jugglers, we try to keep it all in motion, and we’d love to share this lifestyle with someone who wants to be part of it!

    Who we are

Montse has a degree in the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage and works with wood using the traditional technique of marquetry. Àlex is a lawyer specialized in environmental law who, after completing cabinetmaking studies, now dedicates himself to exploring classical woodworking in depth.

We’d be happy to welcome you into our workshop so you can learn about our craft and daily work, if that interests you.

Our village has a strong community spirit, and you'll have the chance to join in local initiatives and meet neighbors with all kinds of knowledge and life experiences. Even though we live in a rural area, we’re just 35 minutes from the beaches of Tarragona, and only 35 minutes by train from Barcelona. So you’ll have access to both peace and nature and a wide variety of cultural events.

We’re looking for an English speaker who can spend time with our children: playing, talking, and helping them become comfortable using English in everyday situations. Some days you might take them to after-school activities (a driver’s license is essential, as school is 14 km away). Of course, we don’t want the grandparents to get too jealous! So there will be free time and flexible days when we can go climbing together, enjoy the quiet of the countryside.
