Description

It’s Freja (19) and Pepe (21), a couple from Germany.

We are both very close to nature and love being outdoors on adventures, preferring the peace and quiet in the countryside to the hustle of big cities. We have already had many travel experiences, especially in the mountains of Europe, whether climbing, skiing or mountaineering. Our motivation to have new experiences and implement projects together is very high. In addition, it is always very important to us to spend time with great people.

Sustainability is a key concern of ours, which is why we travel a lot by bus and train - it also adds a bit to the adventure factor :) It is important to us that we not only see new countries, but also experience them. That’s why we always want to stay in one place for a longer period of time so that we can really settle in and get to know the people and nature.

So we're looking forward to volunteering through Workaway on our trip through Europe in the summer of 2026. See you soon!

Pepe is in his third year of studying geodesy and has developed strong programming skills through his studies and by working on projects in his free time. He has also gained some experience in manual work, particularly carpentry and trail building. He is also a passionate guitarist.

Freja has already gained experience working with children as a bouldering coach. During a workaway, she could also imagine taking on tasks in the area of renovation or gardening, as she has often helped out with these and enjoys them. Freja has also completed six months of voluntary service in a nature reserve in Lithuania and therefore already has some experience in voluntary work. This mainly involved public relations and practical tasks in nature (path construction, woodwork, etc.).

So we can imagine doing many different tasks, but we especially enjoy working on larger projects. We also enjoy spending our free time together, especially climbing or other mountain sports. We look forward to many new experiences!
