    Description

I live here with my girlfriend. She is from Japan and she is cute, funny, and shy.
Look us up on social media - ask us for more info.
Simple Life based on humility and sustainability. Living close to Nature. Walking lightly etc. In my spare time I like to go in the back road and see which animals are out and about and I like to canoe and fish. I swim (dip in winter) in the lake almost everyday. The garden is a nice place to hang out and even the chickens are good company. Little day adventures with my golden retrievers and eating well and generally listening to music or quiet throughout the day... Always paying attention to the wild plants growing around me and harvesting and preparing them for medicine and consumption. A basic Homestead with a goal of living well.

    A little bit about me?
Things I have done that might describe my personality? I have been a drummer in every type of band. In my first year of University I was offered a job teaching German philosophy which I declined and dropped out ! I hitchhiked and rode freight trains for almost 10 years straight ! I've written a couple books of poetry. I've done every position in a restaurant as a worker. I've been a photographer ( I sold my camera but my art still sells)  these days I sell eggs art and I breed my golden retrievers and my chickens and my goats. Atm I am passionate about me making mead with wild plants. I am getting bees in June!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Food preparation and cleanup can be shared. Food is generally organic and garden based. Wild locally harvested tea is prepared every single day and shared. Conventional coffee tea and also

We have a basic mobile tub that can be filled manually inside or outside. You do have to heat the water. It's a lot of work but it's kind of fun

Camping? I can provide you with a tent and bed . A bed can be put on the first floor of the house. Upstairs there is a bed inside and outside. I am kind of like a cat and sleep wherever I want sometimes even outside. I can figure out this out closer to your arrival

We have a hillbilly hot tub by the creek!
What is that? Basically a bathtub that you like a fire underneath. It's basically like a pot on a stove and you are the egg that gets boiled. It's by the creek so if it gets too hot you can add cold water!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There's a lovely Cafe in our little town and the Silverton General Store is a great place for going online and hanging out and socializing or observing the locals.
Slocan lake is a beautiful glacier Lake. We have a canoe that you can use or share. Fishing is pretty good. We have hot springs. And a trip to Nelson is always fun. If you don't have a vehicle I could drive you. Or you could take a bus (very cheap) that runs several times a week . There are lots of hiking opportunities in this area.

Do you like to play music? I have a couple of guitars at the house one acoustic and one electric! And I play locally with some friends. One at a studio and one at it open mic!
This could be enjoyable for you perhaps?
As a guest or even as a player!
