    Description

I am a photographer and drummer and Dual Purpose Chicken and Golden Retriever Breeder in BC Canada near the town Silverton. Silverton is a quiet little place with less than 500 residents. We have lake based recreation - swimming, canoeing, and fishing. We also have 4 nearby hot springs! My property is 1000m above sea level with good view of Valhalla Provincial park and Slocan Lake. We are a homestead project and work toward a sustainable life-style. Look up Idaho Peak for awesome local hiking. We can see auto Peak from my property.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I'm open minded and comfortable with other perspectives however I was raised in a Christian Light and I'm happy with that- although I'm not fanatical about it.

One step at a time and each breath divine.

It is a simple and humble life 1,000 m above sea level on a quiet mountain. I try to live in a way that pleases God and nothing more

"Better one handful with Tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind."
    Ecclesiastes 4:6

    Accommodation

We can provide you with a tent and all the bedding you may need. You can also sleep on the main level in the house. There are also two beds upstairs - one inside and one outside - so there are options.

I provide the food and drinks - I can cook or you can cook - I can do the dishes or you can etc. Everybody has free access to the garden and we often cook on a fire in the evening.

Our outdoor kitchen is very basic was a very strong propane fire stove.

We provide beverages like tea coffee beer wine etc. Everyday we put together a new wildcrafted tea to share.

Most of our nutrition is wild or organic.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Life is pretty simple for us on the mountain - overall it is a pretty relaxed lifestyle. And nobody is asked to overwork or work too hard. Some people are good at some things and some people prefer to do other things for example. It's not so much about productivity as sustainability. A happy life-style is the basis of all.

The is a bus that goes to Nelson several times a week.
