Description
We’re a young couple from rural Wales, excited for new experiences and meeting new people. We love being outdoors, working with animals, and getting involved in different activities and communities.

Having just finished our A-levels, we focused on subjects like engineering, carpentry, math, physics, biology, and geography. We're really into nature and hope to eventually run a semi-self-sufficient smallholding outside the UK.

We’ve got experience working with and tutoring students. Both of us are easy-going, hardworking, and up for anything—whether it’s a job we know well or something completely new, we’re happy to help. We also enjoy hiking and are always keen to learn new skills.

We’re looking to connect with people in rural Canada, learn more about the area, and share experiences. We get along with everyone and are open to whatever comes our way!

Always interested in learning some of any language. From our travels and family, we know a bit of Norwegian (Bokmål), Welsh, and very little Afrikaans and Shona. Mostly want to immerse ourselves in native culture as much as we can.

We both have very different skillsets, so we'll list separately:

Jason:
*Trade: Experience working in various trades such as carpentry, metalwork, and plumbing. I have A-levels in mathematics and physics, and an extended certificate in BTEC engineering where I specialised in maintenance of manufacture machinery.

* Teaching: My main experience is in private tutoring and teaching kids in mathematics based subjects. However, I am keen to teach any knowledge I have to others, whether it's linguistics or technical (any kind of STEM).

*Miscellaneous: I love working with animals and agriculture, and have been cooking regularly for my family for years. For any jobs you may have for me I will put all my effort into!

Jess:
*Experience: My experience mostly revolves around cleaning and customer service. I have some work experience assisting in a veterinarian clinic, and love working with animals. I have assisted in some trades like tiling and carpentry, and ran a small side hustle where I walked dogs for people in my village during my A-levels.

*A-Levels: I have A-levels in Biology, Geography and Tourism, and generally love getting out to work in these fields.

I enjoy doing creative projects such as crochet and love to make various pieces of clothing for people (and often dogs!).
I often enjoy baking for my family, making everything from cakes to pastries. Similarly, I am up to any kind of job you might have for me!

We both have some farm experience which includes some knowledge of caring for poultry and other small livestock. However we are really interested to get further experience of farm life.

Jason plays piano and competitive chess. Jess is more of a nature enthusiast, and loves bird watching. We both love the outdoors, whether it's a small hike or multi day expedition. We love to try new things to broaden our knowledge on various topics and meet a variety of people.

We loved our stay with Briggy and her family! Everyone was extremely welcoming and although we were only here for a short stay we felt at home quickly. Briggy is an amazing baker and it was a pleasure to learn from her! All tasks were enjoyable to do and work was flexible. Anyone would be lucky to be able to stay here :)
