    Description

I am Patricia and come originally from Germany. I have fallen for the swedish culture und country a long time ago. I live not too far from Umeå in the North of Sweden with my five Alaskan Huskies. I live in a house in a small village at the beautiful Vindelälven - a river where you have excellent fishing opportunities. The summers are beautiful and there a many hiking opportunities here around as well. The winters are amazing with lots of ski and other winter activities to offer including dogsledding at my place ( for dogsledding we need a good amount of snow though).

You can learn a lot from me about dogs and dogsledding and life in the arctic as I have lived up in Kiruna many years. There is lots of activities in the area and being not too far away from the biggest city in the north gives lots of opportunities. The nature is endless here and you have many opportunities to be alone in the nature or fishing and with the dogs without meeting anyone. It is a place for absolute relaxation and enjoying.

  • Help

    Help

I am looking for someone who can help petsitting my dogs while I visit my family or have to work. Feeding them, cleaning the outside dogyard and taking them for a walk and cuddling are the main tasks. Depending on your experience and time skiing or dogsledding with my dogs is also possible when I am around. Two older dogs live inside and three others in the dog yard outside but can be inside too. I love my dogs and expect the best possible care while you are here. But you will have a lot of time exploring the area and while I am here I am happy to show you around and do some trips together.
If someone has skills with helping with small repairs around and inside the house, there might be sometimes little projects we can talk about and I would be happy for help.

When I am away you will live in my house and will have plenty of place. When I am around to give an introduction and get to know each other we will share the house. I have a cozy sleeping couch where you will sleep during your stay and kitchen and bath room is shared. Clean and organized environment is important to me. And it should be also for you.
Food expenses will be covered when I am away and we can also cook together when I am around. I am always happy to get tips on new meals and cook and eat together.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I live in a house in a small village at the beautiful Vindelälven - it is remote so you can enjoy quietness and endless walks in nature but still have many lovely neighbors around.
I live 10 km from the next bus stop/train station which has excellent connections to Umeå and other places you might want to visit. I suggest to plan maybe a day in Umeå for sightseeing before or after your stay at my place. I will of course pick you up in Umeå or at the airport and bring you back when it is time to go home. But you should be aware that if you do want to do other trips during your stay that it is your own responsibility to arrange it. This is possible by either walking to the bus which is a nice and easy walk during summer, by bike, taking the school bus in the morning and afternoon ( not during holidays) or even by taxi. A bike is also available to explore the surrounding .

After or before your stay you can easliy plan connecting trips as you are not far away from the mountains, Norway, the arctic circle and all the bigger cities on the northern east cost. And I am happy to help with suggestions.
