  My profile..omnivore, hetero male.
  .. living in Portugal since 1990, with diverse interests, mostly things 'classic' I have bikes to restore, a boat to maintain, an old stone built cottage and various workshops and outbuildings that need attention, and I have a huge pile of used mahogany planks, skirting boards, panelling, all needing sorting, de/nailing, to be used for new chicken coops, building a shelter, etc, so I need someone comfortable working with power saws and general woodworking stuff. Still , there is garden cleaning, some house tasks, perhaps a bit of painting and decorating, or if the weather is not good there's stuff to do in the house.
  
  I have a conservation and restoration business, professionally working with works of art on paper
  Since the storms and tempests of January and early February here in central Portugal there's quite a bit of clearing and garden work, and I need some one , or two who are not afraid of a bit of heavy work, cutting , moving , stacking wood, radicallly sorting an overgrown neglected jungle of a garden , bonfires, Long term a possibility, you can be as independant as you want
  
  Ok some additions to the first information. Most of the hard grunting work has been done now, so it will be more general manual garden maintenance and maybe some light duties in general property stuff, housesitting , two dogs , bunch of chickens, short term possible , but longer term preferred. get in touch.

  The house is midway between Torres Novas, Tomar, Fatima, on the edge of the Serra d'Aire e Candeiros national park, in a culturally rich area ..historically the land of the Knights Templars, beautiful island Castelo de Almourol on the Tejo river , the monastery of Tomar, the moorish castle of Torres Novas. there are also roman villa ruins in the area, and allegedly the world's largest contained site of dinosaur's footprints about ten minutes away 'Pegadas dos dinosauros' ...50 or so distinct trails and over 1500 foot prints, 60 million years old. Tejo wetlands for bird watchers, the nearby hills for trail riding, walking, mountain bikes. Castelo de Bode dam 45 minutes away for swimming fishing boating or just chilling . it can be mid 40ºs in the summer.

  garden and property maintenance , small veggie patch, chickens, dogs sitting if I have to be away... general help around the place. maybe some house tasks. Maybe olive picking and tree pruning in the season

  There is a small self contained stone built house ...a bedsit really, with bathroom and shower. Also a spare room inside the house.
  Couldn't care less about your politics, gender, sexual inclinations, religion, eating habits, as long as you don't evangelise about it. Strictly no smoking inside anywhere on the property .Bicycles here, .. I will cook a full meal every evening, or you can share the cooking... and provide basic breakfast and lunch but I wont prepare it for you. 4 hours a day five days a week, You don't work whatever two days a week you choose but still board and lodging is provided. I appreciate my own space so you will not expect me to be host after 9 or so at night. I work here unless out on business maybe once a week.

  What else ...

  8kms from Torres Novas in a small secluded rural village. Torres Novas has the supermarkets, banks, post office , weekly market shopping mall, cafes and restaurants, about 25 mins flat ride on a bike , sporadic bus service depending on whether its school time. Torres Novas has a bus station but the train is at Entroncamento twenty mins by car. Bus or train or car to Lisbon 90 mins, or less. . a driving licence not essential but priority given to a driver if two enquiries come in at the same time. There's a small car available for you, Completely legal, taxed, insured for third party risks, for essential trips, shopping , running errands for me, but at my discretion and your complete responsibility.

  Good internet connection. but cell phone reception sometimes not great for conversation, but usually ok for whatsapp and SMS.

  Space for parking camper vans

  parking by the property is fine but sometimes you might have to move let a tractor go past... I have a large field about 100 metres from the house where the van can be left indefinitely, but no facilities there. but 1 minute walk to the house and work area.

  Can possibly accept pets

  there are two friendly dogs here and previous visitors have had no problems , but thats up to you and your pet.
