 - Description- Hello!!
 We are Thomas and Christina.
Thomas is originally from Bangalore but worked in Europe for the last 25 years in the automotive sector. Thomas is a musician, an IT specialist, an inventor, and he speaks English, German, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada.
Christina is Canadian. She is writer/filmmaker and runs our charitable organization teaching digital literacy in Bangalore and in Masinagudi (in the Mudumulai Tiger Reserve). She speaks English and bits of several other languages.
We have a beautiful 4 acre organic farm in the hills 54 km from Bangalore, host to peacocks and many birds. A gazebo beside a swimming pool provides a lovely place to relax at the end of the day.
We currently have an orchard of many fruit trees, including 10 mango trees, and a large planting of avocado trees. Again, no chemicals have ever been used.
We have a farm caretaker who can help with manual labour. He speaks the local language - Kannada.
Would love for you to consider our farmstay!

Thomas is a jack of all trades with over 20 years of experience in IT security across Europe. He’s happy to share his practical knowledge—whether in tech, tools, or DIY repairs—and speaks five languages: English, German, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. His multilingual skills help bridge cultures and open up rich interactions with local people.
Christina has spent many years in India and understands the nuances of Indian culture. She’s here to help you adjust, feel at home, and gain a deeper understanding of the rhythms of life here. She speaks English and brings warmth, creativity, and care to everything she does.
We see WorkAway not just as a way to get help on the farm, but as a two-way exchange. Every WorkAwayer brings their own story, skills, and way of seeing the world—and we’re always excited to learn from that.
We’re curious to learn about different cultures, perspectives, and ways of life. Whether you’re from a city or countryside, whether you’ve travelled widely or are just starting out, your background adds richness to our home.
We welcome ideas on sustainable living, design, art, farming methods, tech, or communication—especially as we continue growing our farm and community-based projects. Your fresh eyes often help us see familiar things differently.
If you’re especially skilled in organic farming, gardening, and carpentry, we’d love to learn from you!
We also love hearing stories—about your home country, family, or the paths that brought you to India. These conversations help us expand our worldview and stay connected to a global sense of community.
Most of all, we value the friendships that form when people live and work together. Everyone teaches something, whether intentionally or not.
We value open-mindedness, curiosity, and a spirit of mutual respect. In return, we offer an authentic, enriching experience shaped by community, nature, and the joy of sharing.
