    Description

I am currently doing a big renovation project so hoping to find some helping hands.
I am converting my downstairs into two apartments, so need to lay vinyl flooring, install ikea kitchens etc.

I know that you all look at the reviews! So I just wanted to add that I had a couple of girls leave my last review who were upset that I wasn't able to spend all day hanging out with them (as I was doing my medicine degree) and they said my hygiene standards weren't good enough. It made me pretty sad to read this as I went out of my way to go buy all the food that they said they liked just for them to leave the next day, they never did any work and I refused to let them pay me for the food, but mostly I'm sad they called my house dirty when I promise it's not! :') I hope that their review doesn't stop me from getting to meet more lovely workawayers.

I am more than happy to teach you things about carpentry and renovations, and would love to learn new skills myself (looking forward to pouring a concrete slab for the first time soon!)

My house is only a few minutes walk from a main road where there are buses every few minutes to get to south bank and the city, it only takes about 15 minutes on the bus.

I live in a large Queenslander (traditional style timber house) in Yeronga, only 7kms from the Brisbane city centre.
My house is across the road from a large park, which is full of birds, and also has a swimming pool, dog parks and a rugby oval in it.

I have two dogs - a sausage dog Piccolo and a golden retriever x poodle Maple, and a cat Marcus.

I have a yard with lots of garden beds for growing vegetables, and my house is full of plants.

I might get you to stay at my house in the spare room, or at my mum's place in Highgate Hill (a couple of kilometres from the city). Her house is lovely and renovated, great for getting around and seeing the city and she has a cute litter of dachshund puppies there at the minute! If you stayed with her then I would pick you up and drop you off each day.

We really enjoy getting to know our workaway guests and working together, but we do need people that are self motivated and problem solvers, as I am not always available to be there and work with you.
