  Hello,dear Workawayers!
  
  My name is Irakli, I'm 36 years old from Batumi.
  
  I’m an outgoing person who enjoys simple things in life — city and mountain walks, natural landscapes, and good chats over a glass of wine.
  
  I have two Bachelor’s degrees, one in International Relations and one in Theology, also Master’s in Tourism management. I also did an Erasmus in Barcelona, which I really liked! :)
  
  I’ve worked as a tour guide in Batumi and the surrounding regions for many years and I love sharing my hometown with people from other countries.
  
  I live with my mom, brother, and sister in our family home, which was built in the 1950s. It is surrounded by parks and located near the sea. We also run a small guesthouse there.
  
  We’d love you to experience our home as more than just a place to stay. We sometimes enjoy homemade Georgian meals prepared by my mom, sharing them together with good conversation. For us, these simple moments are an important part of sharing our life and culture.
  
  Depending on our plans and what you’re interested in, we might walk around Batumi together, watch beautiful sunsets over the Black Sea, play tennis, or head into the mountains for a hike.
  
  Batumi is a wonderful place to spend some time. From our home you can easily explore the city on foot while having the beach, parks and nature around you.
  
  If you’re looking for a place where you can slow down, share everyday life with a Georgian family and discover Batumi from a local perspective rather than just passing through as a tourist, we’d be very happy to welcome you into our home.

  You’ll have the chance to learn naturally about Georgian traditions, daily life and culture.
  
  As someone who was raised in Batumi, where both my father and grandfather lived, I’d be happy to share all i know about Batumi, Georgian history, and culture. We can exchange stories about our countries, and I can teach you some Georgian words and expressions along the way.
  
  For us, cultural exchange is not something formal — it happens naturally through conversations, activities and everyday life together.

  Help

  We usually ask for around 4–5 hours of help a day while keeping things flexible so we can plan around both what needs to be done and your own plans.
  
  We may need help with practical, hands-on tasks such as painting walls, small DIY projects,art design, organising things or other projects around the house. We are also interested in people who have skills or an interest in digital marketing.
  
  You don’t need to be a professional. We are happy to work with different skills and interests and decide together what kind of help makes the most sense during your stay.
  
  There are no fixed working hours during the day, and we can arrange days off together depending on our plans and yours. So you will have plenty of time to enjoy Batumi, go to the beach, explore the city or make own plans.

  I’m happy to teach you some Georgian words and expressions and help you learn a little of the language naturally during your stay. I’m a native Georgian speaker, with intermediate level English and Russian, and beginner level Spanish. I’m also always interested in learning words and expressions from other languages, so I’d be happy to exchange languages with you through everyday conversations.

  Accommodation

  You will have your own private room,even though you’ll be living and spending your daily life with us, you’ll still have a personal space where you can rest, work, or simply have some time to yourself.
  
  Our home is simple, comfortable and lived-in rather than luxurious. You’ll have access to the things you need for everyday life, including Wi-Fi.

  What else ...

  Our location is one of the best things about staying with us. We are right next to Batumi Central Park and close to the Black Sea, so you can easily enjoy the city without needing to plan much or travel far.
  
  In your free time, you can walk through the park, head to the beach for a swim or sunset, explore the streets of Old Batumi, relax in cafés, or walk and cycle along the long seaside boulevard. There are also tennis and padel courts nearby, as well as theatres, cinemas, restaurants and plenty of places to spend an evening.
  
  Batumi is also a great base if you love nature. Beyond the city, the landscape quickly changes into the green mountains of Adjara, with hiking trails, forests, waterfalls, lakes and traditional villages to explore.
  
  What we love about Batumi is that you don’t really have to choose between city life, the sea and nature — you can enjoy all three while staying here.
