    Description

Hi, I am a 46-year old separated man, French living in a small farmhouse in the Dutch countryside, with my cat and three chickens. I grow vegetables and fruits organically for my own consumption or conservation for winter, trying to use some permaculture principles. I try to do most things by myself, reusing things as much as possible. I like to cook and share the products from the garden and eat mostly homemade tasty food.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

As a foreigner in the Dutch countryside and working in a very international environment, I am very open minded and acquainted with diverse cultures. We can speak in different languages and improve them. Thanks to these previous exchanges, I like to cook food from very diverse countries (French, Dutch, Indian, Mexican, etc) and will make you discover different cultures. I can share some knowledge with guests about cooking, organic gardening and DIY projects. As my availabilities change every months, I will let you know the exact possibilities as you contact me. Upon arrival, we will make a plan, depending on the tasks to be done, weather and your abilities.
As your host, I will welcome you with sharing meals and we will be together most of the time to help each other with the different tasks. I like to learn anything about sustainability and cooking from others with different horizons and I would like to connect with people with similar values about sustainability and equity.

    Help

You can help with the vegetable garden, grass cutting, tree trimming, etc, and with small DIY projects. House sitting to look after the animals is also possible. The garden and house are still work-in-progress and any idea to make them better is very welcome!
