Description
I am looking for helpers who are wanting to enjoy the beauty of the Soca Valley while helping me.
If you're staying with me, the other main task will be to prepare the evening meals - to give me more time to work. I normally let helpers decide what they want to prepare (within reason) and as I like almost anything this has worked out well for everyone.
The work won't be very hard, painting, cleaning assembling of furniture and some of the tasks just require a second pair of hands...like hanging pictures, etc. You will not be asked to help with the running of my business when it opens mid-May.
You will be staying at the B&B which is right in the centre of Kobarid which is in the heart of the picturesque Soca Valley...the river is short walk away and the town has many bars and restaurants. And, there are numerous hikes which can be done from the house. You can see photos on Google maps or on rental platforms after April.
If you have your own transport, you could choose to stay at my nearby house in Livek which is very quiet and has stunning mountain views. Staying up here is OPTIONAL.
I'm flexible regarding when you work...so, if you want to take off sunny days this will be possible...as my work will mainly be indoors. Also, I try and schedule time off for you if I'm visiting other towns etc so you can see them.
I prefer to have couples or pairs of friends...but, do take single people if the fit is right.
I try to organise a day out for my helpers without a car so they can see more of the area. And, I'm happy to pick you up from the train station of either Most na Soci ((Slovenia) or Udine in Italy as the bus connections are terrible.

Kobarid is very rich in World War I history but it is the beautiful nature that draws people to the Soca River. If you like hiking, kayaking, rafting in beautiful surrounds this could be the place for you. If you come in the autumn you can learn some DIY skills that might come in handy if you ever own your own house.

In October and November when my bed and breakfast is closed I will need help with my houses This will involve assisting me painting and plastering.

You will either have your own room with ensuite bathroom and balcony with amazing views of the Soca Valley in Livek. Or your own apartment in my bed and breakfast. Depends on your preference of location.

There are endless outdoor activities you do right from the doorstep of the house. Kobarid is also a lively tourist town with many bars. I'm a lover of local festivals and try to go to a different one each week with my helpers.

Marie is friendly and make everyone feel welcome, she provided all meals, took us for a trip nearby and we had drinks.
I totally recommend and hope to visit another time.
