    Description

I am looking for some to come and firstly help generally for a week then pet sit my Pony and chickens for approximately 10 to 14 days .
I am looking for a person who is used to being in the countryside and enjoys working with their hands and is happy helping with maintenance such as light gardening, painting, making a log store mending chicken coops.
We are in Spain , in July/August so due to the heat you need to be an early morning person , we split the maintenance work between early morning and evening .
    ----
I spend a few days showing you the routine before I go to the UK to visit my parents. Then when I’m back you have your days off in a block whilst I look after the animals.
You must have experience handling a pony. For example leading in hand, showering him, grooming.
Experience handling chickens. For example picking a chicken up and massaging crop if necessary.
The normal feeding and watering, poop picking and keeping the stable yard and hens area clean and tidy.

I am looking for a quiet person who would enjoy the countryside and peacefulness , the nice weather, the animals , relaxing by the pool.or wandering to the typical small Spanish village. They must be a responsible, energetic, motivated person, with a good sense of humour
    .
It is very peaceful and quiet here, but it is NOT an isolated farm in the middle of nowhere, the house is in a SEMI RURAL area on a road.

I have full time Spanish and English lodgers who rent rooms in the house and work during the day. In the evenings or weekends they are around to enjoy their company and practise language skills

The accommodation is a caravan as a bedroom and the main kitchen in the house or the outside kitchen is used for preparing meals and there is also a private bathroom with a shower in the downstairs of the house for you to use.
The caravan has its own garden area, for you to have your own space and independence but the main gardens and pool and outside kitchen are also for you to use.
You must be comfortable sleeping in the caravan with the windows open in July and August and there is a fan to keep you cool.
In the daytime the large shared kitchen has a sofa and air conditioning for relaxing out of the daytime heat.

The oranges and grapefruit are ready on the trees at December and it’s great to make fresh juice for breakfast. The Lemons are ready March time. There are herbs growing in the garden , sage, rosemary, thyme, chives and lots of Aloe Vera plants.

To go to the village is about 25 minutes walk The village has an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops, banks, typical of a small Spanish village.

There is a bus stop at the end of the road (700m ) to go to the city of Palma which the bus takes 20 minutes to get there.
In Palma city there is a beach that you can walk to or just enjoy the city or from there you can get buses to lots of areas of the city and around the Island.

Another bus stop a bit further from the house takes you directly to the east side of the Island to different areas and beaches.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The village is a typical traditional Spanish village where you will be able to practise your Spanish. The locals love to help!
There are the traditional fiestas and celebrations of Mallorca in the plaza and a small market.

Spanish language practice if required at home or alternatively I am a iTEFL teacher.
