    Description

I am looking for someone with experience caring for horses or ponies to look after my retired pony whilst I visit my Mother in the UK.

I am currently looking for a Pony sitter for May, then I will be looking for a sitter for June. Normally I organise the dates a month in advance. So please contact me nearer the time for other months.
    -------
Thank you for all the enthusiastic messages I receive, but unfortunately if you have not actually cared for a horse or Pony I’m sorry but I cannot consider your offer to help.

I am looking for someone for about 3 weeks . (Longer stays are available for people lucky enough to have the ‘summer free’ and looking for a base rather than travelling around.)

We spend about 3 to 4 days together showing you where everything is and going through the pony’s routine before I go for about 2 weeks. . When I return you have all your days off together in a block to explore the island whilst I look after the Pony.

I am looking for a quiet person who would enjoy the countryside and peacefulness , the nice weather, the animals , relaxing by the pool.or wandering to the typical small Spanish village.

As well as the usual poop picking, and stable cleaning and keeping the yard clean and tidy.
There is feeding and watering, grooming and occasionally walking and trotting the pony in hand in the paddock. Grazing him on the lawn, showering him each day in summer, occasionally washing his mane and tail.

There are fish in the fishpond that need feeding morning and evening and the wild chickens from the countryside pop in to say hello . There are automatic feed and water systems so it’s just collecting the eggs and brushing the stable floor each day where they like to roost at night.
There are water bowels in the garden that need to be kept clean and full for the garden birds.

A gardener comes to maintain the garden .
It is very peaceful and quiet here, but it is NOT an isolated farm in the middle of nowhere, the house is in a SEMI RURAL area on a road.

I am looking for a responsible, independent, energetic, motivated person, with a good sense of humour who enjoys caring for animals.

I have full time Spanish and English lodgers who rent rooms in the house and work during the day. In the evenings or weekends they are around to enjoy their company and practise language skills I have 3 cats that the lodgers will feed but the cats are always willing to have extra strokes and cuddles!

The accommodation is a caravan with Kitchen area, toilet shower/ cubicle,
But the outside kitchen is used for preparing meals and there is also a private bathroom with a shower in the downstairs of the house for you to use.
The caravan has its own garden area, for you to have your own space and independence but the main gardens and pool and outside kitchen are also for you to use.
The oranges and grapefruit are ready on the trees at December and it’s great to make fresh juice for breakfast. The Lemons are ready March time. There are herbs growing in the garden , sage, rosemary, thyme, chives and lots of Aloe Vera plants.

To go to the village is about 25 minutes walk The village has an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops, banks, typical of a small Spanish village.

There is a bus stop at the end of the road (700m ) to go to the city of Palma which the bus takes 20 minutes to get there.
In Palma city there is a beach that you can walk to or just enjoy the city or from there you can get buses to lots of areas of the city and around the Island.

Another bus stop a bit further from the house takes you directly to the east side of the Island to different areas and beaches.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The village is a typical traditional Spanish village where you will be able to practise your Spanish. The locals love to help!
There are the traditional fiestas and celebrations of Mallorca in the plaza and a small market.

Spanish language practice if required at home or alternatively I am a iTEFL teacher.
