Chris, Georgia and Bobby were wonderful hosts. Chris is a very open-minded person, who can make people from all cultures feel comfortable, he speaks many languages and he's lived abroad for a long time. Apart from workawayers, he's also hosted and helped many Ukrainians refugees. I was only meant to stay for a month but decided to stay for longer

Working for Chris is a pleasure. The work is quite varied and flexible, and Chris is happy to let you do what you can do best. I mostly focused on cooking and gardening, as well as some other side projects.
The place is great if you love peace and nature, as there is a beautiful garden, a lot of pets and stunning views of the sea.
Chris also has an iconic black van with which he took us workawayers for several nice day-trips. The van almost passed away in Spain, but a recovery mission managed to bring it back from Santander to Cornwall, where it underwent surgery and it is now back on track, carrying kids and workawayers around.
There are also several buses that pass close to the house, and although they're not too frequent they can take you far and wide. From here, you can visit many places along the coast, including lovely towns, Tintagel castle and stunning cliffs, or you can head inland to Dartmoor National Park. If you like hiking, I highly recommend hiking as much as you can of the coastal path, both north and south of Bude. The nearby towns of Stratton and Bude are also very pretty, and can also be reached by bike.
Overall, I have very positive memories of the summer spent at Chris', with whom I am keeping in touch. The kids are also very funny, clever and polite. I would love to go back and visit again one day!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Dear Chris,
I apologise for the delay in writing this comment. I stayed there for about two weeks. Honestly, I didn’t expect anything, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. First and foremost, Chris and his sons were extremely kind, and we always shared beautiful moments together. There were also other workers who were great, and the
