  • Description

    Description

We are a small family (mum, dad, one little boy) happily living in Mparntwe, Alice Springs. We have a beautiful two-storey home that we are slowly renovating, and a large garden that we are (also slowly) establishing. There is always plenty to do and we love hosting - to meet, learn, share - while also appreciating help with projects big and small. We don't expect any specific skills (although if you have them they will be utilised), just care and readiness. Please get in touch if you'd like to stay with us in our desert slice!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

In our home we speak English and German. Like many people living in Mparntwe, we are learning about the culture and Country in our region. We (my partner and I) are both engaged in work here that is place-based and sustainable. We enjoy robust and honest discussion, and teaching our little boy Harvey different ways of living and being. We have a wide circle of friends and are willing to connect you with others, including further workaway hosts, in addition to employers or accommodation/rental pathways if you plan to stay in Alice longer.
